While I prefer 16:9 as almost all of my equipment is widescreen, I would definatly take untouched 4:3 content over content filmed in 4:3 and cropped to 16:9.

I have joined numerous sites and found their advertised "HD" videos are just SD videos re-encoded at a higher resolution without any consideration of the final output quality.
I applaud your decision to only provide HD versions of scenes that were actually shot in HD, at least some webmasters have some integrity left :)

How many big summer blockbusters receive more than 5 out of 10 from respected critics yet go on to make hundreds of millions at the box office? I'd say most of them. Of course there are exceptions but most of the time the score a movie gets from critics has no impact on its takings.

Im not a member of Zoliboy so cant comment there but I completely agree with you on the new sites issue. I did email them about it a couple of months ago and they said they will be adding new sites to current members packages "soon". Obviously their definition of soon and that of any normal persons is drastically different so I would'nt hold your breath.

I do usually comment on the price in my reviews if I feel it is unusually cheap or expensive for the content on offer. I dont factor it into the score unless in exceptional circumstances.

I use AdBlock Plus so even if there are ad's, I don't see them. But on principle I hate them, once I have paid for something I dont expect to have ad's for other products shoved in my face.
Which brings me nicely to a pet peave of mine, the popup ad's that are all the rage on TV shows now. When you pay god knows how much per month to watch your favourite shows on premium cable tv not only do you have to put up with ad breaks every 5 minutes but also while the show is playing upto a third of the screen is taken up with advertising. Now that REALLY pisses me off.

Yes, the member section is the same for all 21sextury sites. The only differences being a slightly different colour scheme and obviously the content thats available.

The problem actually sorted itself out. I dont have a membership anymore so I cant tell you if this is a issue the site has often but during my 1 month membership I had maybe 3 or 4 times when speeds were bad but went back to fast the next day.

The vast majority of sites that I join I can grab all the content within a 1 month membership. In those cases I cancel and rejoin 6 months later to get any updates.

No, the image is 1 x 1 pixels in size and transparrent so you wont actually be able to see it. It looks like it is a affiliate tracking code that they are referencing through a image tag. Like I said in my first reply, the page is safe but obviously if you are not completely comfortable it would be best to email them and ask them to sort the issue out. I would imagine they would be glad to be informed about your concerns, who knows how much business they are loosing over this.

The page has a single image which is being referenced by http instead of https, its this image that is giving you the warning. I would not worry, the important parts of the page are secure.
If you are still not convinced, email them and ask them to remove the reference to this image on the join page:

Javascript is not the issue, its the code that can be written and the way the browser executes it that causes the problems. As javascript is not compiled, it is up to the browser to interpret and execute the code as it sees fit. Any security holes are a fault of the browser and are not inherent to javascript itself. bad code can be written to exploit these holes.
Turning of Javascript completely is fine but you will find a lot of sites refuse to work without it. I personally use Firefox with the addon NoScript which alows me to pick and choose which sites I trust to run Javascript and which I do not.
