I like it, but agree with you on the artsy sets.
I really do not care for them, but then that doesn't solely apply to this site.
One thing I would say though, I wish the ratio was biased more in favour of the landscape format.

I have stopped renewing because of the photography quality. Other than the valid points you raised, largely I found the lighting very poor and artsy with excessive shadow.

That is where the premise falls apart for me.

Yes, it is not so much the huge volume, which is not a problem in itself, it is more the artsy thumbnails are so similar it is difficult to pick out galleries that are likely to appeal.
For instance, last time I was a member, I found no more than 2 dozen galleries that appealed enough to download. Seemingly no more than one or two per model. For such a huge site that is very few. Typically I have half a dozen sets of each model that appeals at the end of a months subscription.
I just found it too tiresome:
Click....'No, that doesn't appeal.' x100
1 'Ah that is a good one.'
Too frustrating!
