The great majority of web sites where I click on "members only" for providing username and password, give me a page that says "Internet Explorer cannot display this web page". Why is that and how can I resolve that problem? | |

I recently signed onto a website as a new, first time, member. Before I even got to the membership/credit card page, a new page erupted before me with the news that I am now a member, and my card has been charged (the last 4 digits they gave me were correct!) How could they possibly have known all those things before hand? That is scary!! | |

Sometimes I wonder how observers know that we are viewing "legal pornography" as opposed to "illegal"? I hear often that authorities show up to investigate someones computer. Has anyone ever been a victim of false charges, and what can we do to prevent such travesty? | |

I have a C (main), E and F internal drives. When I cranked up the pc this AM, all contents and capacity figures for F were absent. When I click on F in My Computer, I eventually get a dialogue window telling my that F needs to be formatted, and "click here" if OK. Have I lost all contents forever? I did defrag F last night (along with the others). Did that cause this?  | |

My 120 GB external is almost full. Now, all of the sudden, I cannot add to it or send anything from it anywhere else, BUT, I can playback everything on it. When I go to transfer, it shuts down. Any ideas? | |

All I can say is, those of you (and me) who have external hard drives in use, or are about to put your first one to use, save yourself some money and grief and try to remember that wherever and however you install it.....Do not, I repeat, DO NOT install it UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!!!!! | |

Brazzers almost got me with their "unless you uncheck this box, we will make another website available without your knowledge, and charge you up the ying-yang for it, and hope you never check your bank statement" scheme. 3 months and 3 charges had gone by without my knowledge. I notified them immediately, and they have promised to credit those charges. Will keep you advised. | |

We had a thread awhile back about hard drive space reserved for our favorites, and some folks had drive space up in the hundreds of G's and adding more. I had the grand total of 13 from a 10 yr old pc. So.....bought me a new 120G external, and everything is great except after playing back about 2 minutes worth, it shuts off the vid, and after showing me the standard "Cannot support file. Player might not support file type or codec that was used to compress file", it continues to advise me: "Windows can perform same action each time you insert a disk or connect a device with this kind of file: (They are all .wmv by the way). "What do you want to do? Choose one: >Play using Windows Media Player? (which is what it was playing on to begin with) >Open folder to new files using Explorer? >Take no action? Well...it doesnt matter what I choose, none of them work. The new drive appears in My Computer, so it knows its there. Anybody face this before? | |

Anyone have this one? My WMP9 player tends to stutter and "stop and go" (only the video, not audio) when playing back these newer vids playing back at speeds above 1200k or so...no matter how I set the performance compression. Any tips or suggestions? | |
