Topless only strip clubs?.. Does anyone know why strip clubs that serve alcohol are only allowed to be topless? Why does a strip club have to be BYOB if it's full nudity? | |

That must be a local ordinance where you are. There are plenty of clubs here that serve up $10 beers along with full-nudity. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity. | |

There's no national laws on strip clubs and what they can serve being in direct proportion to how much skin you see. It varies from state to state and sometimes city to city. You happen to live in a more prudish part of the country. RagingBuddhist and me will continue to live life up with a full bar and full nudity. Save your money and spend it on internet porn if it bugs you. | |

Actually, this is a law that is in Michigan and was just passed a few years ago. However, the law here is that any strip place that sells alcohol, it can only be topless. But, any strip place that does not serve alcohol can be full nudity. Of course, all strip clubs serve alcohol and probably lose huge business if they don't, so almost all clubs here are only topless. The quality thing is that if you need full nudity here badly, you can make a short drive to Canada and get this. Sexted From My iPad | |

My only guess for these kinds of laws would be they don't want to risk unwanted penetrations brought on by inebriated customers -- but it's just a guess. That's also the law here in Indiana, that's why we all go to Cincy or Louisville. Louisville DeJa Vu has two clubs side by side. One topless only, serving alcohol and another full nude serving just drinks. but of course the topless only might as well be full nude, they show everything, they just can't legally be bottomless they just have to pull the panties to the side.
You really think so? I'd think it'd be the other way around. I mean, there are plenty of bars or clubs in cities. So I myself would rather go see full nude and drink beer somewhere else, then to just see topless. But maybe that's just me. | |

Yes I do. Most people (at least from my experience) feel a bit uneasy when going to such places and need a few drinks to loosen them up to fully enjoy themselves when being at these places (myself as one of them). Plus, most businesses know that people who are wasted or even just a bit drunk may spend more due to lowered rational thinking, which is a huge plus for the women working at these places. Also, the prices at most strip clubs are ridiculous but people will pay it due to the reasons I stated above, which I'm sure is an extremely huge income builder for the owners. I mean, I've been to some places that an average charge up to $8 for a single bottle of beer or 16 oz draft. Remember, the owners are not pimps and do not get a share of what these girls make (at least from what I know?) but they have a lot of staff they need to pay and so and so on. They need to get income some how and I'm sure cover charges don't pay for it all. On top of that, since most places that don't serve alcohol will not want their customers there drunk from drinking before they go. While some may let some get away with this, I'm sure if you are noticably wasted they will not let you in or you will get the boot quickly. Remember, people who are not drinking can smell that shit on you from a mile away, even if it was just a few drinks. There are plenty of reasons why these establishments who don't serve alcohol will not want their customers there drunk, these are just a few examples. Sexted From My iPad | |

Yeah. I don't drink alcohol hardly ever, so there's no point for me to lose the full nudity in order to hang around with people that are drinking, which I generally find a distasteful experience anyway. In California, the laws are similar. If alcohol is served, there are restrictions on nudity and there are restrictions on contact. So I never go to strip clubs that serve alcohol. | |
