Age Verification Unpopular opinion, I'm sure, but I'm not against Age Verification. I think fighting age verification hammer & claw on 1st amendment grounds is an incredibly stupid decision on the adult industry's part and one that can only hurt the industry in the end. The word adult is in every official site of the porn industry. So clearly the industry is claiming to be making entertainment for adults, in which case age verification ought to be a perfectly reasonable aspect of accessing the content. Is it a good thing for so much porn to be so available to children? I doubt it. My view - if the adult industry were smart,they would make a good-faith effort to work with lawmakers on what they would consider to be reasonable age-verification measures. Maybe they have done that and I haven't heard about it. Everything I have heard about is the adult industry fighting back against any and all age verification measures as an attack on the industry overall. | |

We now have the Online Safety Act here in the UK which is making it difficult for even consenting adults to access adult content on the web. I visited one of the free tube sites the other day and they wanted age verification to enter. One of the verification methods was giving your credit card number to Probiller. I wouldn't even join any pay site that uses Probiller as I seem to remember people having problems with them before over unauthorised charges. Also a couple of days ago I visited a pay site I've always quite fancied joining but never got around to it and was met with a blank page with a notice from the site basically saying they can't be bothered complying with the new Online Safety Act required by the UK so their site can no longer be accessed from here. | |

Yeah UK here also, porn should of course be adults only but now adult have to record themselves and leave videos on third party sites, sure theres better ways of doing it, think the porn industry now in the UK for lots of people will be over.
