This site excels in many ways. The production is some of the best and the casting is nearly perfect. An in-between pro/con for me is this site likely shows the blurring of reality and fantasy. It shows the strengths of that blurring and the weaknesses.
To explain, this site has just over 1,200 videos. A very high number for a believable and realistic BDSM site, but a small number when compared with some of the BDSM networks that are more in the mainstream realm of porn. I reviewed Slave Mouth several months ago and was blown-away by the authenticity and realness of the content. I decided to try Dom The Nation and I am happy to say, I like it even better. The obvious reason is I like the less focus on oral.
Dom the Nation looks like a tour of debauchery. I did not list it in cons because I think people know what they are getting into with a site like this one. Some of the scenes and actions might be seen as lewd and that's okay, none of the actresses seem to mind. It is one of the strongest pros of the site. I have jointed all the Met-Art owned sites including the Met Art Network, but I still have to say, I think The Life Erotic is the best of the entire group. Met Art does still photography near perfect. Met Art X is good solo masturbation porn. Sex Art is great story-based hardcore male/female porn. The Life Erotic takes a little of the best from each of those and combines them into one site.

Tainster is one of the few networks that earns the much-maligned designation. Besides numerous name changes, their content is often considered highly controversial. The name changes show this network originally being called EroMaxx, inexplicably changed to Tainster and Tainster was rebranded to Sinx. Sinx is still around but Tainster is back to its old self.
This is a massive network. That first month price looks really high, but to join any of the sites by themselves, costs 39.99 Euro or $41 USD. Joining the entire network is a much better deal.
It’s a definite that content was removed from the original network. I believe, just based on common sense, they leased out some of their older scenes to DVD sites. I know at least one DVD sites has EroMaxx DVDs for download. It’s not that big of a deal. Most of those were 480p standard definition videos. The ones you can download now are available in 720 and 1080p. I know 4K is the standard these days but many of these scenes last over an hour.
The downloads are as easy as ever and not near as frustrating as when on EroMaxx. Back then, the producers of the site decided to start using multiple cameras in their group scenes. You had to download 3-4 different files to get all of the video angles. It was a good idea but the execution was poor. As a member, you just have to accept that there are as many as a hundred people in some scenes. The camera has to move around a lot. That mostly applies to Party Hardcore which was the first big site Tainster had. It is bachelorette parties with male strippers. You can filter the scene listings by category (anal, DP, etc) but only by one category, which isn't necessarily a big deal.
A nice touch is that scene thumbnails indicate whether the scene is in your favourites list.
Very usefully, the scenes in the favourites page are in the order the scene was favourited and so easy to keep track of - I've come across a number of large sites where there are unofficial limits on numbers of favourites and so favourited scenes end up quietly dropping off the cliff.
As someone who generally watches porn on a mobile, favourites scenes and then downloads them when on my PC or laptop, I appreciated the otherwise good mobile functionality.
There are a number of negative aspects of the site:
- clicking on the download link just loads the scene in a new browser window, forcing you to use the "Save link as" option provided by your browser to actually download the scene.
- submitting comments is very unresponsive - from hitting the comment it takes up to 30 seconds for your comment to appear and sometimes it doesn't.
- clicking the "Add to Favourites" button results in nothing happening until after between several seconds and thirty seconds.
- the links to actors is by actor name rather than a unique id, so a scene starring say Angelina, will link to a list of scenes starring an actor named Angelina and not necessarily the same actor from the scene you clicked from.
- on phone or tablet, the "favourite" badge on a scene thumbnail doesn't appear with the device in portrait mode, only if landscape mode.
Overall, if cosplay sex is your thing, then you'll like this site though as with the other small sites on the Gasm network, it's not worth the membership cost by itself, but the huge amount of quality content included in the other network sites means you get a lot for your membership, so I recommend it.

Before joining the site, I have read the glowing reviews posted here. I was highly impressed, but still a bit hesitant. I thought that BDSM sites were misogynistic as well as had portrayed cruelty. What I did not realize until I checked further is that there are many among us who enjoy a bit of role play.
What I mean is that I saw scenes on the site that showed that there are some people who play at being submissive and dominant just for fun. The site is fairly large with 252 scenes. There is plenty to see here, despite the fact that new scenes are being put up only one per month for almost a year. The most recent feature a real hotty, a great porn actress, Rebel Rhyder. I think she is great at this kind of extreme scene. Each scene is highly creative, using props that look to be custom made for each movie. Bottom Line:
Subtitled Japanese porn was a surprise for me. I don’t even think I ever thought about subtitles until I joined Zenra, a few years ago. Once I watched scenes with subtitles, it started becoming clear to me how much creativity the subtitles give the producers of the scenes. It’s not like the subtitles have to really say whatever the model is saying in Japanese. Some would know, but they would be native Japanese speakers. The subtitles, alone, was enough to push my original score of Zenra to 100 and to become the first ever site I rated a 100. It was that different. Zenra does something rarely talked about. Japanese porn is scarce here in America and it’s either censored or in all Japanese with no subtitles. Zenra also uses very familiar and trusted billing processor CCBill and unlike many Japanese sites, Zenra has very good download and streaming speed. Which is a completely different form of making it accessible.
The different subscriptions are still making it less accessible. They have a streaming only option that is $29.95. They have a downloads and streaming option that is $39.95. But, there is only streaming access to their “VIP” scenes even if you pay $39.95 for downloads and streaming. Whether I can get around that or not, that should have been a 5 point deduction. If you want to download everything including the VIP scenes, you have to join the $39.95 option for 3 months. You then have to send an email to their customer service and request VIP access. To me, that’s just a bit much to go through while paying $109.95.
The quirkiness that makes Japanese porn unique is available in some of the scenes. You’re also going to get a full selection of some of the prettiest models from Japan. The newer DVDs have up to HD downloads and they are still updating with new DVDs. An oddity for a porn review and site is the site comes with relatively unbiased reviews of each DVD. How unbiased? One of the newer DVDs has these cons according to the Zenra staff, “Missing male moron classmate. Movie felt a bit quiet without one.” and “MIHINA NAGAI is pretty, but needs to stop the stuttering sex freak dialog. We apologize for the subtitling quirks of her scene.” That is at least honest and tells some of the things you may wonder about when watching a scene.
The different types of memberships are confusing even for someone who has joined it before. The exclusive DVDs are near 600 and that’s around 50% of all their DVDs, The only option for downloading those is joining for 3 months at $109.95.
Really, joining any of the memberships except the 3 month one. You’re going to miss out on way too many scenes you’re going to want to download.
I don’t regret scoring Zenra a 100 when I did. At that time, it was arguably the most unique site I had ever joined. It’s even still very unique, but a network like Japan HDV comes to mind, with subtitles and uncensored scenes too. If Zenra improved their subscription options and made those easeir to understand, the site would be a legitimate threat to score 100 but those problems stop it from being a perfect site.
It is a top of its class site. Japanese DVD sites are relatively rare, and even rarer to find one that has subtitles. The censoring doesn’t bother me any more but I know it may bother others. I have theorized why I believe the censoring mosaic requires the producers to be more creative and I do believe that. My last thought is I just wish they made joining the site as accessible as they have presented the content. You’re looking at a $109 membership to have downloads available of all the scenes. I would like to see them offer a 45 day downloads included membership for $55. The 3 months membership is longer than most of us porn fans join sites, but is required if you want those VIP downloads. I am going to score it a 94 this time.

The need for better camerawork
We really don’t know what happened, but content started being sold to video sites and Tainster was slowly dropping off the plane of relevancy. Now, here it is back and while it’s too much of an exaggeration to say it’s better than ever, it is at least better than what it had become.
The price is probably the biggest con. It was 24.95 Euro and $14.95 Euro to join. That made the price just a little over $40 USD.
The sites including Party Hardcore show new updates, but I cannot verify that those are new. The last time I was a member on Tainster, there was much less content than now. I don’t know if that “new” content is content they removed and re-released, but do believe the new scenes look like new scenes.
The network is based in fetishes. Party Hardcore is a group site, male strippers with amateur women. Mad Sex Party is professional models having orgies. The downloads are in 1080p quality. The biggest con is the scenes often have more going on than the cameras can keep up with. The Fully Clothed sites are the only ones I know of their niche. There are WAM sites for Wet And Messy. You also get Slime Wave. A very different site that has “cum” filled dildos squirting all over clothed and naked women.
I believe the network fits perfectly in pros/cons. Or even risk/reward. You’re going to pay more for the chance to get scenes that are completely unique. It makes it worth it to me. I enjoy going through scenes trying to find one that stands out to me and you can do that on Tainster. You could have a different favorite scene each time you visited it or watched your downloads, but you do remember the scene is from Tainster.
