Tried this site and got burned. None of the scenes shown were included with membership, all I got was a message that said my membership was activated and redirected to pornbox.com and a bunch of 30 year old low resolution videos popped up.
I joined the site after finding a really great discount. A big part of the fun is browsing. There are about 50 scenes added to the overall site - PornBoxx, I believe is the name they use - every day.
The vast amount of those scenes require ticket purchasing to access, while subscribers of Porn World get 1 new scene per day and they're not crap scenes, they're really good scenes with hot Euro babes, for the most part. One of the great features, for my tastes, is the use of tags for browsing and discovering new babes. If you click on Porn World, you'll see all of the scenes that you've got access to - 14,260. My registration confirmation gave me no info as to what I would be charged on my next billing date, so I found a form to ask their C/S - and that's where things get weird. I asked a straight forward question - "I joined through a discount site. I really enjoy your site - how much will I be charged on my next billing date?" No answer to my question, I get a question back - what was the site where you got a discount? I send a link to the site where I got my discount since it's still showing a nice discount for the site. I get a response "This isn't real - we don't have discounts." I checked my account - I got charged the discounted price when I joined. I still have no answer to my question so I asked the C/S person again how much I'll be charged on my next billing date, but I don't yet have a response and plan on cancelling well before I get charged again to avoid unpleasant surprises.
It's tempting to me considering the number of scenes the preview shows that it has for faves such as Erika Fontes, Sasha Rose, Foxi Di, Gerson, Tina Hot, etc. But I suppose given the complicated nature of the thing, from Exotic's description, I'm really not sure what I would actually have full access to and what scenes would then require tickets.
I had an active account on PornBox and I have one on DDFBusty. Both registered via the same E-Mail account and I registered both sites with different user names. I cancelled my subscription on PornBox. Since a week or so when I log into DDFBusty I'm redirected to PornBox. However I can't sign into PornBox not via Login not via Register. If I try Register it says that my E-Mail address is already in use. If I try to register I get a sorry we can't log you in. I already contacted PornBox support but to no avail. My DDFBusty account expires somewhere in November so I still want to use it.
If you join this site expecting to find a few great scenes and stars from the past you might be satisfies with the content. As it turns out the majority of the content and scenes are from Pierre Woodman's collection of "signed" talent. Nothing wrong with that... just be aware that what your purchasing is a narrow base of what was available in the 70's, 80's, 90's etc...
Based on privateclassics.com, I joined. After reading the recent well-written and informative reviews, I didn't think I would find what I was looking for but I took the chance. I didn't find the rainbow I was looking for. It's such a shame.. I thought privateclassics.com was among the more unique and interesting sites I've encountered. Pierre Woodman this is not! The scenes are so similar that after 20 minutes I was bored to death. I'm now inspired to find a modern day Pierre Woodman.
Just wanted to let you know that Private is at present offering a 2 days trial, but it only allows you to view and download 5 episodes of your choice. It also reminds you continually (and annoyingly) that you can access everything by upgrading.
I'm coming to the end of a month membership and went to cancel. It was a much more frustrating experience than usual so I thought for future members my lessons-learned may be of use.
I'm used to billers like CCBill and Epoch so my default means to cancel is to go to those sites and cancelling is easy. Private's primary biller is Rocket Gate and that's who I was billed through. I went to their site and found nothing for consumers so I Googled "Rocket Gate how to cancel membership" that did take me to a page where I could enter my email and username. The problem is that they had no record of me even though they are the biller. So I emailed them. That was 24 hours ago and I haven't had a response.
The Private site has no link for your account, but at the bottom there is a link for support. That leads to an FAQ page where there is a question about billing. Most of the answer directs you to Rocket Gate, but if you have the same problem as I had then that's not of any use. There is, however, a link to prvtbilling.com. That brings you to a page on the Private website that allows you to enter your username and email address. That worked.
I should also note that I didn't receive a confirmation email when I joined. Those often contain cancellation information. I first thought that could have screwed up my email address when I joined and that would explain the lack of a confirmation email and the inability for the biller to recognize me, but since the Private site itself recognized the email address I'd say I wasn't at fault.
My final advice is that since your membership remains active for the month even after you cancel I recommend trying to cancel early in case you do have problems.
Looks like this site has really gone through some changes and appears to offer some really high quality stuff. Shame about no special offer and regional pricing though, 30 euros a month means no prolonged memberships for me.
Surprisingly they seem to accept PayPal too. I thought they had some kind of no porn rule...
Anybody member here sho could check if they offer Private magazines or photosets too? Might be my next subscription.
I finally bought a membership and if you are fan of high end Euro features, it is worth it at $30 for a month vist. (I got it for $15 for the first month from a discount on another review site, which was a definite bargain.)
The site includes scenes from newer features for download and for streaming. The video quality for the new HD scenes is great; the quality for the older scenes is disappointing; if you have VB, you will get better quality there if it has the same scenes. Private should be remastering these scenes.
The site has its problems. First, you can’t browse the site once you start a download, which is extremely frustrating. Second, the size of the files are not stated on the site, nor is the length of the scenes. Third, if you are using the scene navigation, it does not tell you the name of the DVD the scene is from.
Download speeds varied using free download manager. At the high-end I got 2.1 mg but at the lower end around 300-400.
As to content, the new material is excellent, although there is too much silicoe for euro features.
While far from perfect, as far as I know, this is the only site you can use to get newer high end Euro features on a flat monthly basis. Dorcel Club could be an alternative, but from what I can gather it does not have any newer material, is expense, and has a bad reputation. (I don’t know why.) As far as I know there are no other Euro feature sites available in English.
My, it's my third comment on this site in a row. Anyway, not much activity here on this site regarding the greatest studio of the 90's and 00's (actually another retro comment made me think of this).
Anybody still a member? Are the old films generally available on at least DVD quality? What about magazine archives?
It's been over half a year since I got some very negative comments about this site. IT appears that TPB has given it a favorable review lately so I was wondering if the issues of past are gone?
They at least promise a good deal of HD videos on the previews page but I understood from some comments that Private is not producing much new material these days and the old ones obviously cannot ever be released as HD. It also appears that the old magazines are on another site these days. I guess there's no network membership to all Private offerings?
The comments below state that a lot has changed and the reviews are older than that. Anybody have a clue, is this site worth joining anymore? Do you get access to their large DVD selection or not (somebody commented about them trying to sell you films)?
DO NOT sign up for PRIVATE.COM! It has just been taken down and replaced with a NEW SITE that has almost NONE of the old content, but promises of the old content are still all over the signup and welcome pages. It is a flat-out bait-and-switch that just cost me $30.
How to make one of the best sites one of the worst
Private has managed to turn one of the best sites into one of the worst. How? Easy make navigation inscrutable, remove all the pictures that were some of the best on the internet and oh did I forget, slow the site down so that you can have a cup of coffee while simply moving from one page to the next. Yes, they really ruined this site. The removal of the incredible picture section is unbelievable. And I forget to mention the limited pictures they do still have cannot be individually downloaded with Mozilla, you have to download the anemic set as a zip file just to get the few pictures that are worth seeing. It looks like they are using the site to sell videos and have lost sight of their users. Not worth even a one month subscription.
Didn't feel like writing a full review, just wanted to note that this site is very disappointing. Though they do not have DRM anymore, and the ability to download a good portion of their magazine archive in pdf format is pretty interesting; the navigation is terrible (looking at the preview would lead you to believe the navigation is pretty good - but the navigation of the member area is very different and significantly worse). Also all their content is not available (yet?). I would not recommend joining this site, especially since a lot of their content is available elsewhere - videobox for example; unless you really want to download the magazine archive, which I guess might be worth it as the TBP price is pretty good.

There is no more DRM at Private. I decided to take a shot at this site, because they do have high quality material, but I didn't trust them.
While the site could use some improvement, contrary to what this reviewer claimed at the end of this August, there is no DRM whatsoever. Reading his review just now got me paranoid, because I was a member in August (he claims they have a "7 day DRM") so I ran a thorough check of what I downloaded (my membership is now expired). No DRM. I even ran a number of videos using Real Player, which wouldn't work with DRM---no problem. I even went so far as to convert a video into mpeg format---no problem.
The site could be better, no real search to speak of, and they need more of their massive library there. But a Private site without DRM is a good site.
I've been waiting to join this site, they have many videos of some of my favorites including Eve Angel, Simony Diamond and Black Angelica, but one of the newer reviews says the DRM is still there, the other newer review says no DRM. Is there anyway, since the webmistress is active, that you can say the DRM is not on the movies, no tricks or explain why two reviews made within a week of each other have completely different points about the DRM?
I ask because I know of another site that was using DRM, and I wasn't seeing it when I was a member. Posted a review of no DRM, then another member said there was DRM. It was the difference in file types we downloaded, the site still had DRM on their WMV files (what the other member was downloading), but none on the AVI files (what I was downloading).
Also, on the join page, this is a little confusing "Tag Undefined offer01r$" and has a tick button beside of it. I do see that it says "$19.95 special offer" but have no idea what that quoted part means. Thanks.
After the most recent comment from the Webmaster regarding changes in the site, I attempted to subscribe through to the link provided by TBP. It didn't work because it rejected my CC, supposedly because the CVV2 No. was incorrect. I tried a couple of times making sure that it was right, and it still didn't work. I have used the card in the last week for other things, and had no problems. What most disappoints me, however, is the fact that I received no response from an e-mail I sent to the site, as well as the lack of any response here to my comments earlier. I was really looking forward to checking out the changes described by the Webmaster since I am a big fan of the studio, but it seems their problems with customer service and unresponsiveness noted by others here continue.
I've been told that Private has discontinued the evil DRM technology.
Can anyone here confirm this?
Well, I just took a look inside the site and they do have a banner that states "No DRM'. That would be a great thing, why don't I trust it? LOL
OK---I went back in, and it seems to me the downloads are their videos. And you have to purchase the download, for at least $18.95! But it has no DRM. Looks like they just won't let go of the sucker born every minute mentality that has polluted porn for so long.
I would have expected more professional treatment from such a long-standing site, but you never know. I joined in October when they had a 2-month for $25 deal, which I thought made the site worth checking out. With DRM on their vids and crappy navigation on their pics, I had no interest in sticking around longer than that and cancelled using their site. The site confirmed my cancellation, though I did not receive an e-mail confirmation, which is pretty common - not getting an e-mail confirmation, that is. I was sure I was all set until I received my credit card statement this past weekend and saw that they had charged me an additional $30.54 US. I filled out the "Contact us" form on the site - no response. I sent an e-mail to an e-mail address that I had when a C/S person had responded promptly to an issue during my membership - no response.
Apparently, they're OK with you giving them money and resolving password issues while you're OK with giving them money, but they don't mind ripping people off and they don't respond to people that they have ripped off. I'm fucking pissed about it.
