The first time an anchor appears in the episode, she should strip from fully clothed. I can live with nude from the start on a second appearance.

Are they still showing guest anchor segments fully nude then an interview with them fully clothed?
I do wish they would show the clothed interview first!

I see your point, but in a sense "very good" and "even better" are the ONLY valid units of measurement :-) (everything else can be misused or even abused, for example, 5MBit/s sounds great, but only until you realize it is MPEG-1 or poorly encoded MPEG-4 in .MOV format from old Apple days).

If you want to know about bitrates and resolutions for NakedNews downloads, I can't provide much useful info for this specific site, because (as a fairly rare exception for me) I don't do any downloads on NakedNews (I don't see the point in storing "stale" news).
The only thing I've seen is their streaming, which is IMHO the best streaming I've ever seen. I've tried to measure it's bitrate and found that it's surprisingly low, somewhere between 500kBit/s and 750kBit/s, but visually it is MUCH better then "usual" streaming/downloads at this bitrate which you can find elsewhere.

For the record: I was their "Gold" member (the one for which they had "free 3 days" promo a week ago, not sure if it still lasts), for other types of membership YMMV (there should be some difference, shouldn't it?).

When I was a member a couple of years back I kicked off about the lack of proper stripping. It was largely ignored.

I have resubscribed, there does seem to be more stripping now & a couple of the new anchors are hot. Still not enough stripping IMO

Hi dracken, actually the news readers were quite capable when I still subscribed to the site but because the daily broadcast was split up into various segments like entertainment and sports and commentary there was not enough news if anyone wanted to use this site as one of their source of the latest happenings.

Naked News was a good idea at the time and caused quite a stir because of its outrageous idea of presenting the news naked but I really believe that, over the years, it became no more than a ho-hum site that made no further attempts to innovate and the models got lazy as well and got down to the buff entirely too fast! :-)

I've been considering this site fo0r a while now, but hearing that the models don't really strip a lot but rather get naked pretty fast makes it drop lower on my list of places to visit. Are the news at least well presented?

I believe that is standard quality. The Gold membership gets you higher quality downloads, although I'm not sure if you can stream them at that resolution. I've never really been interested in streaming their videos. If you're going to log on everyday, download all the segments, and watch them from your hard disk, I'd say the gold membership is worth the extra $5. If you're going to stream, maybe the standard membership is the way to go. Either way, you can't beat the price.

Actually, the videos are available in a variety of formats. You just need to adjust your video preferences. Usually, it asks you if you want a Mac or PC format as one of the menus as you're browsing for videos to download.

Furthermore, I would argue that, while .H64 availability is frustrating, two days is plenty, so long as you keep up with the show during your subscription. Yeah, it would be nice if you could download every show they ever did in the highest quality format, but when you look at the price, it seems reasonable to me. But, that's just my opinion.

can I reply to my own post? well here go's.

As some wish list item and for added variety how about:

The anchor presenting to the camera while another girl is undressing her.

A tranny presenter would be nice too, I know it won't appeal to everyone so maximum one (or one pair) per episode, but several presenters on rotation.

Channel 5 news in Britain had a sexy presenter sitting on the desk which was stangely controversial at the time but is now becoming common, the presenters could sit on the desk sometimes and let their legs open.

They could advertise for amautuers to be interviewed nude for a public opinion angle, vox pops they call it.

There used to be a male edition, they could throw in a man once in a while, maybe playing a crew member coming on with a prop, and then standing around embaressed but getting hard next to the female anchor.

Some one could make some special props so that the cloths just fall off as if by magic, benny hill style.

A very good and very accurate review! I had taken out a long term subscription because the price was right and regretted it almost from the start. They did well in the beginning because there was much more stripping while they read the news and I was highly displeased to discover (and told them so) that they started off nude or wore a suit jacket that could be shed in five seconds way too often. I don't think I watched their show more than two times a week during the last two months of my subscription. And if Victoria Sinclair, the main anchor, started off nude, the show wouldn't last any longer than that. Instant switch to something else.

I found the site to be very different from the usual. I enjoyed the concept, but don't expect that you can get off on it. Even at its best it is very soft. Some attractive women who are wasted as there is no tease nor is it explicit. They really need to be one or the other. At least its cheap. I have even gotten it both by itself and as a bonus to joining another site, but don't remember which one.

Hi Toadsith, I agree that if you don't have access to normal TV News, Naked News might be a very appealing alternative even though you don't really get enough of it. However the price is certainly right. :-) Another thing I appreciated was that, for obvious reasons, they reserved the serious stories for the beginning of the show and had the tact to wait with undressing until they moved on to a lighter subject. At first it bothered me to see emotionally charged news stories on this site at all, but if the ladies on CNN can grin and smile and banter just before and after they report on earthquakes and famine and genocides, then Naked News' offense is small by comparison.

But to return to my remarks, I have more than ten news channels I can watch, some like the CBC in Canada are even quite good and balanced, I also get massive doses of news on the Internet so, for me it was the stripping ladies and nothing but the stripping ladies that attracted me to NN. :-) And there I felt let down because they didn't strip the way they used to but became quite efficient at getting naked in a hurry!

BTW, I agree with someone's (might have been yours) remarks that the site should not even be listed here because it does not contain porn. Even to list it under "soft porn" would be an exaggeration, in my opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly that if you join this site for the nudity, you'll get bored and bored fast. It is the same models standing around naked day after day. However, I do like the site for its news content and the personalities of the models presenting it. I personally don't have access to normal TV news - though when I do I find that is uniquely terrible - and NPR just depresses me. The programming on Naked News is too short - I'd prefer 1 hour shows - but I find they are rather balanced and cover a lot of European news that you just don't get to hear about in normal American TV news (and yes, they are Canadian, but they obviously cater to the American market heavily). It is a niche genre, but they do it quite well so I don't mind supporting them.

I just finished a six month subscription to this site. Nostalgia made me do it because I remembered its earliest days when the novelty of naked women reading actual news made you gasp and when the anchor (Victoria Sinclair for the most part) would strip slowly and sensuously from business suit to very sexy lingerie, including nylons and garter belt, down to buff.

I found out very quickly that times had changed (along with subscribers' tastes?) because many times once that jacket came off the newsreader (model) would already be nude underneath, or, if you were lucky there might be a pair of panties or bra to get rid off. Commentators, too, were often fully nude right from the start.

The question is how often can one look at a limited pool of (admittedly) beautiful newspersons displaying their shaved pubes without getting bored. After only a few weeks I actually found myself watching the news more than the models and during my entire six month subscription I doubt I watched the show more than three weeks' worth altogether.

There should be more lingerie, more stripping, more variety in both rather than this confounded modern trend of getting to nude as quickly as possible. I realize it's a bit of a challenge for a model to strip and read the news at the same time but in its early days the site did manage to do just that.
