Pros:
- Beautiful, clean women as convincing lesbians.

- Great speeds (can saturate my 6Mbps DSL)

- Allows full use of download managers. Downthemall in my case, and the site didn't restrict me from setting up videos to download overnight. Well done, sapphicerotica.com.

- No gonzo mascara-running, gagging, put-a-foot-on-her-head-while-penetrating-her nonsense.

- Very few fake breasts. Two thumbs up. The women are young, slim, and (mostly) natural.

- Did I mention beautiful women smooching on other beautiful women?

Cons:
- Some scenes are a bit too "charged" to be convincing. Being so immediately orgasmic is likely a medical condition.

- Some scenes are a bit silly. Not typical American XXX silly, but a bit much. I enjoy looking at four gorgeous women in tennis outfits coming in after a vigorous match and stripping/licking, but it's a bit unbelievable.

Bottom Line:
- A great site. Seriously. Especially the older stuff, and especially for the price. I think it's one of the few sites that everyone who enjoys XXX and finds women attractive should join at one time.

- Flashiness and web design are personal style preferences, but I really like the simplicity of the site.

- A pretty good model index.

- "Clean" was used above, but I can't stress enough how nice it is to see attractive models who look like they've used shampoo within the last eight hours on a site.

- The approach that some of the older, wonderful oral scenes used is being a bit neglected. Now there seems to be lots more fingers and toys and anal-licking. Pros:
There are many models here who are extraordinarily beautiful and nearly all of them are showing affection for one another. The scenes are natural all the way and you never get the feeling the models are ever doing it just for the money.

Cons:
You sometimes hear the guys behind the cameras, which is extremely annoying. Some years ago, the models were more free to look the way they wanted and do what came most natural to them and didn't have to act for the camera. Scenes played out a lot more organic and felt more real then.

Bottom Line:
The best sapphic site out there, but sadly not as good as it used to be.

Pros:
-attractive, mostly euro ladies
-excellent sized collection 2870 total sets (1114 of which are videos) at time of review
-zip downloads of photosets
-download managers work (DTA)
-good price through TBP
-OK download speeds, 500 KB/sec to Western US
-No DRM
-Video quality is decent, I mostly downloaded the 2000 kbps WMV, but newer videos also have a 4000 kbps mp4 which was better, but I didn't find it to be enough of an improvement to warrant the extra HD space.
-Good camerawork

Cons:
-Listed as HD, but not the crispest you will find these days if you are stickler for these things.
-I personally am not a fan of ass-licking, and there was a surprising amount of this on the site.
-Most scenes have no real setup, just business
-No real bonus content
-Not a very wide variety of model types (body types, ethnicities)

Bottom Line:
Overall, I think this is an excellent lesbian site, defintitely worth joining if you are into this type of material with euro ladies. The majority of which are of the younger/thinner variety.

The site design is pretty bland, but it gets the job done I suppose. There is a model index and a scene rating system, although that is about it. There are more adds than I would like to see, but not too bad. I like that they apparently went back and re-encoded some older material, or at least it looks better than the copies of it I had from before.

I should note that I found their content was frequently pretty "hard" lesbian material, a good amount of toys, fisting, anal play, strap-ons etc.

Bottom Line:
Honestly, I just felt compelled to write this review after seeing Moby Dick's scathing review (50 out of 100).

I've been an off and on member since the site began and I can tell you that the standard of quality in lesbian porn has risen significantly because of this site.

While I very much agree with Moby Dick that at times the action is sort of predictable and not so passionate or creative, the amount of content, the beautiful girls, lighting, production values, and quality of video and photos more than makes up for it.

Pros:
+ New content released as 1280 x 720 MP4s.
+ Recently updated a large portion of their collection to 1280 x 720 resolution, MP4 format.
+ Video also available as 640 x 480 MP4 and a smaller version for smartphones. All video options can either be downloaded or streamed in a pop-up window.
+ Large amount of content going back to early 00's.
+ Truly beautiful European women.
+ Daily updates (alternating between pics and video updates.)
+ Exclusive content.
+ Good site navigation and filtering options.

Cons:
- The site design hasn't been updated in years. It's not horrible, just a peeve.
- Older content of lower quality.

Bottom Line:
I usually make an annual visit to this site. Honestly, I was expecting to knock down my previous rating a couple points a few days into my subscription but then I ran into a couple pleasant surprises that inspired me to bump it up five!

Surprise #1 was the talent. During my visit in '09 Sapphic Erotica was still holding a high standard for the models in their lesbian sex scenes but I was finding more average looking girls in not-so exciting sex scenes -- still high quality but not the "wow" factor I had on my previous visit.

During my recent subscription to the site I discovered some great new models, as well as old favorites making new videos. The passion and excitement seemed to be back.

My second surprise was a site upgrade that occurred during my subscription month. (Fortunately, only a few days in.) The Web master upgraded the video downloads, all the way back to about 2005, to 1280 x 720 MP4s. (Previously wmv's of various resolutions.) When you get back to the video in 2005-04, the video is still decent 640 x 480 resolution.

That is a HUGE amount of HD content for any site. I preferred the MP4's to the WMV files that were previously available so I went back and downloaded all my favorites.

Overall this is a great lesbian site. There is a large library of supremely attractive models performing lesbian sex. (No solo or B/G available.) The sex is as "hardcore" as you can get without having a guy involved. They do take the high road with the action. There is no rough sex or extreme kinkiness. There is use of toys on occasion and some fisting.

Pros:
-Huge archive

Cons:
-Navigation and search options are minimal
-Yes, it's only g/g action, so it can get repetitive
-Some models appear under strange, unusual names
-Bonus content is minimal or non-existent
-Silent sex means less narrative or fantasy involved
-Almost no preview before joining the site (bad marketing strategy, in my opinion)

Bottom Line:
I finally decided to join this site, which had been for a long time on my "to do" list, and I have to say that I am not dissapointed. Of course, you have to know what you'll get when you join, but I knew it, I was expecting it and I got just exactly that: all girl-girl, classy, mid-core (if you get what I mean) action.

The picture and video sets all have more or less the same style and structure: a very quick and unimportant segment were the girls interact and decide to get into action, and then a few minutes of licking, kissing, scissoring and some light fisting. The girls are generally very hot, mostly in a European, thin and athletic way.

From the technical point of view, newer video sets offer three different download options (HDV - 1280 x 720 @ 4Mbit; HDV - 852 x 480 @ 2Mbit and HDV - 448 x 256 @ 1Mbit); older sites have less options and poorer quality, as could be expected. Updates come quite regularly (one video every 2/3 days and a new picture set every other day or so), and most of them -although not all- are paired picture/video sets.

Now, let's get with the cons: the most important one, yes, is that there are only so many things girls can do to each other without getting too kinky or hardcore (and you won't find any of that kind of stuff here), and most of the girls don't speak English, so scenes tend to look a bit repetitive after a while. There are variations, of course (location, number of girls, positions), but it all has the same style and kinf of look to it.

The design of the site could also get some improvement. It's easy to navigate, but has too few search options. Models are only displayed alphabetically (more on that later) and the description of the scenes doesn't let you, for example, to look for all the sets involving foot fetish action (which is something that I, as a foot lover, would have liked to see).

About the model archive, it was very frustrating for me to see that many of the best known European models are listed here under different and completely unrelated names. For example, Eve Angel is Daphne; Blue Angel is Beatrice; Eufrat is Juliette; Sophie Moone is Sophie M. (well, that one was easy), etc. I don't know the reason for this, but it makes it very difficult to find those models, specially since there is no "alias" or "aka" index anywhere in the site.

Bottom line: I really like the site. It has its cons, but it is probably one of the best g/g sites you will find. Obviously, if you are looking for something more hardcore or with more variety, you will get dissapointed; but then again, why did you join a site called Sapphic Erotica if that's not what you are lookin for? :P

Pros:
Videos from around Q4 2009 and newer are of a high quality. Some of the videos are very hot, with women who look like they're really into it.

Cons:
They release a new video about every 2 or 3 days. With that schedule, there are a fair number of HiDef videos, but not enough to really provide a lot of variety.

Also, be careful about how long you wait before you cancel, or you'll end up paying for another month. They do not make it easy to figure out when your next billing date is, so be careful.

Update: After contacting them, they promptly canceled my account and refunded the 2nd month. Kudos for that.

Bottom Line:
Overall, it's really not that great of a site. Not terrible, but there isn't much variety, only videos in the last year and a half are hi def. I'd call it Average for content (low end of average) and Poor for user account management. Heck, you even have to figure out which billing company (choose 1 of 3) that you need to contact when cancelling. I'd call that poor.

+ No guys
+ Beautiful girls
+ Good video options, you're not forced to download HD (1280 x 720) there's always an option for 640 x 480 in Great Quality (which I and my harddrive prefer)
+ logical navigation
+ Finally a good website, it remembers where you left off on the model index, and pick you up where you finished last night (cookies, I know, in this case it's good cookies!)

Cons:
- some sets are to generic, no sense of lust, although some sets has it
- blondes on blondes & brunettes on brunettes, please seperate

Bottom Line:
I scoured PU & TBP for a site I havn't joined before and that has received a rating over 80%, but to my dismay I winded up with, Sapphic Erotica, a site I were a member of back in 2004, and had some mixed emotions about. So what had happened in those years of abscence?

Well, quite a lot, actually. The website is amongst the better porn sites out there, and a big improvement since last time.

The site is structured down to your basic 'search my model name' or by 'model type', be it shaved, hairy, small or big boobs, they're all there.

Unfortunately the search engine don't give the results you want, so it's better to go with the 'model by name' method, which is where you find the strenght and weakness' of this site.

Theres' an abundance of beautiful girs on this site, so it's wellworth joining, problem is most of them look the same, and the ones who don't are just some washover photos from the 90's, some of them incredible hot though, but still...

It is still a great website, and the content overall maintains a high level, although a bit generic, but all the same recommendable.

Bottom Line:
Sapphic Erotica was the first paysite I joined and I've been a member three times since. It was a pioneer in the Euro babe arena and still has some of the best sex scenes with the most beautiful ladies of Eastern Europe.

Since my first subscription to the site in Jan '08 they've made several improvements. The newer videos are now being published in 1280 x 720 resolution and streaming Flash video has been added if you want a quick preview or if you want to skip the download all together. There is also a more robust search feature.

The quality of the women and the sex is superior to many sites. On my most recent visit I've notice a decline in both the beauty of the women and the sex has become more robotic. Sapphic Erotica also has more competition these days so they need to keep it fresh.

Overall Sapphic Erotica is a great site. As a whole it is still one of the best porn sites out there.

Bottom Line:
Over the last 4 years I have been been a member to this site for 10-12 times.

As mentioned above, the quality of the pictures and videos is very good and old videos even have been re-coded in order to adapt them to our times where high bandwidth is easily available and most people like high-resolution videos.

Pros:
* Usually 3 exclusive photo sets and 3 exclusive HD vids added each week (plus one non-exclusive update)
* 700+ videos and 1200+ photo sets
* 1280x720 4Mbps DRM-free HD video (140+ vids)
* Good filter tools to search for videos by type and model
* Very attractive girls
* Most videos have a corresponding photo set
* Consistently good download speeds on my 2 meg connection
* Download manager friendly (Free Download Manager works great on this site)

Cons:
* Very little variation in videos - all follow pretty much the same sequence
* Model names don't match other sites
* Newer updates don't seem as passionate as the older ones

Bottom Line:
I'm a big fan of the Final Whistle sites. Sapphic Erotica has a tonne of high-quality lesbian content for a really great price through the TBP discount.

Having been a member of this site a couple of times now though I have to say that I think I'm becoming a bit tired of it. The videos are all a bit formulaic and it would be nice to see some more variation.

Pros:
- Still my favorite of the all-girl lesbian sites
- Newer videos have 1280x720 top option, most at least have 852 high end option and the first 30 or so videos on the site are the only really bad quality clips.
- Picture sets are zipped, but do not have picture set for each video set, also have a lot of photo sets that there is no video for.
- Good DL speed, about 95% of my max
- Total amount of content is very high 748 videos as of 2/2/2009, 1285 picture sets.
- Contains the most "tribbing" on a lesbian site that I have seen.

Cons:
- Some of the newer content has a cookie cutter feel to it. Very planned out scenes, which all usually are, but at least make me believe it could be real!
- As mentioned in pros, you will see a video you like and wonder how the pictures will look, but they don't have a picture set for every video and vice versa.
- More and more licensed, non-exclusive content finding its way on here.

Bottom Line:
I did lower my opinion a little on the overall score from my first review. Having said that, I still believe that overall it is the best girl/girl site on the internet. The older content has some real gems in those.

I still think content is disappearing. I used to have a Sarah Blake/Charlie Laine movie in front of a fireplace that said sapphic erotica on it, but it is nowhere to be found on the site. Probably one of the greatest g/g scenes I had ever seen.

Most of the newer scenes are bordering on uninteresting. I don't think it is the models' fault since I've seen these models in g/g content on other sites with much more passion and much more believability. The newest scene with Eve Angel is almost boring, and Eve won an award year before for Best Foreign Female Performer from AVN.

The site's navigation is okay. The new search is better than no search. I am currently on the site and searched for "videos" and added "trib" 57 results come up. Then I added "blonde" to the other two search terms and 42 results come up. So far so good. Then I added, "slim" to the 3 search terms and 53 results come up. Do some backwards math there and see that only 42 came up with videos/trib/blonde but 53 come up for videos/trib/blonde/slim.

Now you see what I mean about the search being better than no search, but you can also see how it isn't real consistent.

The picture sets range in quality by age. Most of the older sets are 1200 high end, and do come zipped. I've never really understood the purpose of giving you small, medium, large options on thumb size. I clicked the large thinking it was a larger resolution. The newest picture set, added on 1/31/09 has 2000 high end resolution.

Model selection is very good. There really are some very good videos in there. You just have to spend some time finding them. I especially recommend the older videos, even the ones of the "butch" looking models as those are filled with passion. There is one really cute video of 5 models, Sophie Moone is in it as is Sandra Shine, and Sophie does a little booty tease that turns into an orgy.

What it comes down to for me, the big name Euro models are great here, and the older videos are as well.

I rate it high because you just don't see a lot of quality lesbian content anymore and including SE's large back catalog of over 700 videos, you are sure to find some content to your liking. Add the high quality, just did a check, a video from 2003 had 640 high end with 1000 bitrate, one from 2006 has 960 high end with 2000 bitrate and in 2007 the 1280 high end started showing up. So that is pretty good, 640 is still standard for some sites today and they were doing it in 2003.

A few tweaks to the navigation and a more accurate search engine would help. I would personally like to be able to pick updates by years. It would make it easier to get the older content much easier. As it is, you have to click "Next" over and over until at the end. I still recommend it highly.

Bottom Line:
This site has been around a while now, but when it first came out it was the best in it's niche. The girls were stunners (unlike another particularly highly-rated site), and for the most part, natural. But, more importantly, the girls actually seemed to be really 'going for it', justifying the site's tagline: 'pretty girls doing it right'.

The site's aim is to deliver realistic, passionate lesbian action, a far cry from some of the unconvincing and even 'nasty' lesbian porn that existed previously, and ALMOST delivers. Yes, the action is more realistic and more intense than what most viewers were used to, but let's face it, that wasn't really hard to achieve was it?

Personally, I feel that although the action on this site is hot, many other sites have caught on to what viewers want in lesbian porn and are rapidly catching up, and in some cases, even overtaking the passion and realism displayed on this site.

In terms of overall quality, however, you still won't find a better site out there. This site updates frequently and has been around for 5+ years now. It has over 720 videos, which can be downloaded in clips, or as a full scene with a choice of video quality. As far as I know, most if not all of these scenes are exclusive to this site, although you will find many of their previews out on free clip sites. Not being interested in photos, I can't say what you will find on here, but I doubt you will be disappointed - there are thousands upon thousands.

You can search through the members area by the models in alphabetical order, by video/photos, or by a specific set of criteria (such as whether the scene contains tribbing or 69-sex, by hair colour or breast size of the models, or even whether it takes place outdoors, in the bedroom, or whatever). My only problem with this is that when searching by model, it's only by trial and error that you discover which models have photos and/or videos (it can be frustrating to discover an incredibly beautiful model, only to find that there are no movies of her).

Having been a member several years ago, I feel the site has gone downhill a bit as of late. Don't get me wrong, the database is continuously increasing in size and you can always download content from earlier years, but it just seems like lately the passion isn't as intense as it was. I get the impression that toys are being introduced more and the site is becoming less focussed on 1-to-1 intimacy and more on group scenes, etc.

Overall, I still think it's the best value-for-money lesbian site on the Net, but it's competitors are closing in. Also, if you're looking for passion, there are now better sites out there (which are unfortunately still very small and new).

In my humble opinion this is the lesbian of lesbian sites. There are not a lot of lesbian sites that bring this much quality or content. I would say it would take 3 months worth day and night to download everything from this website. Another website from the SapphicCash.com team recognized for OnlyCuties and InfocusGirls. The video content range from 20 to 30 minutes you can download them in short clips via .mpg or the whole movie with .wmv. The videos are all exclusive so you know your not getting some copied material from some other website or movie. The photos themselves are hi-res that are 1024x768 all in one convient zip file. Though I wasn't really interested in the photos since I was concentrating on the videos. I only bought 1 month subscription and only downloaded 1/10 of the site. Cons:
Although the girls are awesome to look at I mis some major things. I mis passion. I mis the girls talking to eachother. Bottom Line:
Sapphic Erotica, the first site I ever subscribed to, is still one of my favourites. The movies - featuring young, natural European girls (not loud crass American ones!) engaging in twosomes, threesomes, foursomes and sometimes moresomes (!) with lots of sensual kissing and feeling, but also explicit cunnilingus and dildo penetration, and often analingus too. Wow.

The movies are also generally well produced, with good lighting and 2 cameras to capture multiple angles (lesser sites seem to only have the one cameraman moving around).

If you've never joined before, and love the lesbian genre but don't like the degrading talk you often get on American porn sites, then I would highly recommend this site.
The main downside is that the newer movies just don't seem to quite make it, IMO. The girls seem to be 'going through the motions', whereas in the older ones the girls are clearly loving it.

Follow-Up:
Having re-joined after being away 6 months or so, I have to say the updates I grabbed are generally of the highest - hottest - standard. This site did let the quality slide for a short period, which generated many comments of the 'not as good as it used to be' variety. Happily, those comments are no longer justified. You could say this site licks ass!

The addition of a new search engine is also welcome - search by genre (oral, anal, 3-some, etc), hair colour, pic, vid, etc. The search engine is not perfect, but it's an improvement nonetheless.

You can also vote on each movie and pictorial. It is a bit suspect that many of the more average sets have a '10' vote, until you add your own and it plummets. I suspect the webmaster has cast his own votes. Still, all in all, a fine site once again.

Bottom Line:
I personally think this is the best Lesbian site out there. I've been a member on and off 5 or 6 times now.

Their movies are believable and there are currently over 500 movies available. All the latest movies are in a resolution of 960x540 (WMV format) which although is not HD looks good still. At time of writing this accounted for 240+ movies. Nearly all the remaining movies are in a resolution of 640x480 which still look decent (some lower quality videos from when the site launched in late 200/early 2003).

Updates come daily, usually alternating between movies one day and picture sets another, although sometimes there are two days of pictures set before a new movie update.

The girls on this site are on the whole great looking and nearly all the movies are enjoyable.

As well as WMV format the movies are available in MPG and MOV format.

Pictures are generally in 1200x800 resolution and look good quality. Each picture set can be downloaded in a zip file.

Highly recommended.

Bottom Line:
I've been a member on Sapphic Erotica a total of 12 times since 2004. Also note on my high score that I consider this by far and away the best lesbian site on the internet. There is very little to complain about. They have the high res pics and videos, zip files for pics, fast downloads, great customer service, under $20 price with TBP discount and though some may question the realistic/believability of some of the newer scenes, you still won't find any lesbian/glammed up models lesbian sites that has as much believable material when counting the archives.

I guess some even complain because the models are mostly European. I never quite understood that complaint, unless it is because there isn't much talking. I have very little doubt that if Sophie Moon started out in the industry in American Lesbian DVDs, that anyone would have known she isn't American. She looks like a native Californian to me.

The action on here is as real as I believe you will find on a non-amateur site. The one that stands out to me is Sarah Blake, she has a scene in front of a fireplace that has some tribbing in it that no one could ever convince me isn't real.

If you are into tribbing, {rubbing clits together) this site has more of it than any site I have found. There is also plenty of kissing, 69s and toys/fingers. Updates often contain the same models, albeit with different partners.
That being said, if the lack of large breasts and speaking aren't major issues for you - and you have patience to navigate the so-so website, then Sapphic Erotica would be recommended due to the large amount of content and extremely high quality videos, and ofcourse the fact that DRM is not used.
