Selective "Natural" Models

For those that think abbywinters really is about "natural beauty" should read what Madison Young had to say about them:

"I did shoot with Abby Winters but they are now located in Amsterdam so I shot with them in Holland. I was actually quite disappointed with their company policies and was given the wrong impression about the company. Their company�s values claim to honor the �natural girl� but then made me feel under the microscope with a �grooming check� before the shoot and after a day an a half of shooting with me cancelled my remaining shoots due to a �grooming issue�. When I was asked what kind of �grooming issue� I could possibly have they reported that I had a blemish near my collar bone that would make it impossible for them to shoot me. Is Special Discount Still In Effect?

I tried two different times, the second time after closing Forefox and deleting cookies etc. as always suggested, but the special price of $ 33.15 for our members is nowhere mentioned on the join pages of AW. My Final Visit

I too just completed another subscription, which I think will sadly be my last. I'm not into the videos -- I've always joined for the pictures which, while not always very big, were often hot.

Sadly, the picture sets have actually got worse. More sets have a larger size option now, but there's no point offering larger images when the quality is as low as it is on Abby Winters. Unlike quality sites such as Met-Art, AVErotica, Explicite-art, etc, the Abby sets look like they were shot with a cell phone! There's just no fine detail at all. Each picture looks either out-of-focus or shot with a shutter speed that's too low to retain sharpness. I'm not exactly sure what AV does to their pics to make them so soft and lacking detail, but it's true of every set.

They made a lot of fuss about the new web page design, but hey, if the content isn't any good, then who cares.

After a long break from abby im back and that same old wasted monies feeling comes back.

Not alot has changed on the videos & photo shoots. The normal 19+ pages of photos and nothing until page 17 on some shoots.

The videos 25 mins maybe 3-5 mins of full nudity (Full nudity for me means seeing everything) I know this is "Un-scripted" but com'on at least tell your models to not cross their legs when blabbing on for 15 mins!!or hide behind curtains ect.
Im quite gutted as there is still some very nice models but the video format is still the same and a HUGE waste of 500mb+HQ/750+ HD per video.

WMV forever!!!

Today 7may2010, I noticed that those responsible for the site aim suspendthe videos in MPG. So far so good, but say they think of doing the same with WMV in the future. The WMV has almost the same quality as MP4 HQ and is smaller. MP4 these are good, but for now be run with quality in Windows Media Player. Well got my membership today- As i read videos are getting better from the "Dark days" And no no no no nothing has got any better, granted 3 videos in the last 2 months show pink bits- but most of the new updates are the same. (Solo site)

What a disappointment

This kind of mirrors dingle's review of the site but, as I just clicked the cancel rebills link and directed Abby's crew to come here to see why I'm not re-upping, I wanted to make it easier for them to see this. It assumes they'll make the effort and I hope they'll respond.

I just watched the lastest video - a 321 meg file, 20:25 running time and, yet again, it was over 16 1/2 minutes of the model talking away before she started to undress. This trend almost has me wondering if AW is heading towrds becoming a non-nude site. Okay.. maybe that's a stretch. But what they're doing now is not something I'd ever knowingly sign up for. The same goes for the picture sets. The matching picture set to the above video was just as bothersome. 236 pictures with the first HINT of nudity at pic #135.

So what's the standard now? Picture sets that are 2/3rd's clothed? Picture and video resolutions that look upscaled - especially the outdoor shots? And who decided that a good porn site should include such yawn inspiring videos such as a girl prattling on about what a lazy day she had?

I never thought I'd have any feeling like this for a porn site, but I have to say I was a bit sad to see this one go down like it did. This used to be one of the few sites I'd actually let rebill. Not this time. Again - what a disappointment.

A recent thread mentioned their company, G Media, offices being raided by police because their porn was illegally explicit. These types of stories seem to rarely have happy endings, as porn and the law do not have a good relationship.

Follow up on AW issue and agreement with uscue

I meant to follow up on the issue I had with memory usage while running through AW, but I guess I took their approach and kinda let it slip for a while. It took 'em about a week to get back to me when I emailed 'em about how the memory usage was going through the roof. What I got was a letter blaming Firefox for being a known resource hog, along with a couple of links to all these steps I could take to minimize memory usage. Clear out the cache, delete temp files... all that stuff. Well, that's stuff I do daily, and browsing Abby's is still a pain. About 10 - 15 pages in, the memory usage starts to clog up the works. No other site I run through does that - not even hours long sessions browsing on Flickr . So, just like the problem I had with Matt's Models, I just see it as another site that can't look at what they're doing and admit that maybe they have a problem.

So, yeah, I have to agree with uscue - this site is definitely not what it once was. If it weren't for the fact that I'm grandfathered and can still get the whole site for a decent price, I definitely wouldn't have joined again. And, while we can't know for sure whether or not they're sending people here to shill for the site, they've made it somewhat clear in the past that they ARE a business, so I guess anything's possible.

What's with the useless newbie reviews

I'm starting to think AW has passed its peak, is slowly on the decline and thus is trying to drum up business by third-partying all these reviews they have on PU. First sign of a true problem is breaking up the site and making people pay three prices for what used to be one. Most other places are adding to the networks (with additional sites at no cost), not taking away (with additional cost at no extra sites).

That coupled with the most random, 93+ rated reviews that show up here every few months from a "new user" - just enough time in between reviews to not be suspicious - makes me not want to join. One thing you notice being a member here for a long time is that everyone doesn't all agree one way or another about a "name" site (popular sites). But apparently they do about Abby Winters

One con I had is that many of the girls are quite ordinary, even plain. While they do have some attractive girls, I felt they were the exception and not the norm. Also, there is a negligible amount of age and ethnic variety, as well as not much in body type. Since the sex was filmed with a stationary camera, sometimes the filming left something to be desired. For example, a few closeups would have been nice. In general the camerawork in all the videos was without any creativity or originality and did not come across as erotic. A perfect example was the group yoga scene-many nude girls, but not at all erotic. In my opinion my biggest complaint was the continuous talking about absolutely nothing. True the girls were often nervous, but I don't need or like that.

I would have re-subscribed to AW a long time ago but the difference in price (listed above) for one site as compared to that of all three is simply too great.

I was a Gold member some time ago and found that they had just enough new material every month to keep me interested. This would not be the case with a subscription to one niche only.

Not only that but I like all three niches because they all have their own appeal. I am surprised that their new, but certainly not improved, way of doing business has not led to a downfall of the site. Some folks must have deep pockets.

I joined this site a few months ago. I found the site very well organized and very user friendly. However there were just too many plain uninteresting girls. Great research by the PU reviewer. 'Abby Winters' doesn't exist and never has. It's actually the internet persona of site owner and operator Garion Hall. When he first started out in the porn industry he was scanning other photographers material and found it easier to collect material off other scanners by posing as a young lesbian photographer. The messageboards on the site are heavily censored to reinforce the myth that 'Abby Winters' actually exists.
The content on the site is ok as far as it goes, but it doesn't go very far. It's all very repetitive and I was bored with it after a couple of weeks. It will be interesting to those who have never seen a woman before or those who have just awaken from a coma.

It's been a few too many months since I was a member of Abby Winters, but I do want to say a few things about it at least in a comment.

Abby Winters can be what you make of it. They do more to create a community made up of the models and the members than any other site I've seen or subscribed to. Most of the models respond at least once to their forum thread when an update releases a shoot they modeled for. Many of them are regular participants in other model's threads. And some are just rabid fans like many of the members and just have hundreds of posts. The models and the employees of Abby Winters are just incredibly personable and down to earth.

I also wanted to mention the various lists that are available. Every member (I think, I was a Gold Member) can create their own lists made up of various shoots and either save them just for themselves or make them public. When made public, it's like a photo/video album that anyone can peruse. It's really helpful because some of us aren't great at putting to words what it is that we're looking for in a search and it also introduces you to new things. There are a ton of lists that are regularly updated and managed. Whether you like big tits, small tits, or the dimples on the small of a womans back - there'll be a list that catalogs these kinds of things. Plus, you can make your own if you are so inclined.

I enjoyed Abby Winters and will subscribe again. It's well worth a try (at gold level).

Is AbbyWinters really worth it? I've wanted to join for a couple of years (yeah) now but never have. As far as I can tell, the regular (I think silver) membership seems to be pointless as all I hear is that you need GOLD access to really get anything good, but at $30 for one month without ever being able to try it and see if it's too your liking makes this a hard sell for me.

I think a short trial would be beneficial as I can't bring myself to shell out $30 for a softcore site without seeing if I fancy it first. And yeah, I'm a newsletter member but that's not really seeing.

Abby Winters has recently added the Flash streaming viewing method. It is a much quicker way of sampling the video content.
This allows users to quickly browse a video set to decide whether a full download is worth it.
