Actually, good point Messmer. We have referred to it as an ass site because that is how it is promoted (i.e. the 'crack' refers to the ass crack, not the pussy).

Good review, Davit. I agree with most of what you wrote. The only thing I don't understand is that not only you but other reviewers as well refer to this site as an "ass site." I've downloaded tons of video segments since subscribing and very few contain pure "ass" material.

Could it be it's because I might be using the "search" button more frequently than others? It gives you clear choices there. I steer clear of "ass" because it's not my thing and still have loads of videos to pick from. My thanks to the webmaster for straightening me out on the download limits (or lack thereof) because I've been gorging on the material of ITC ever since I subscribed yesterday. I won't do a review because others have done a super job and given this site the same ratings I would .. in the nineties. The quality of video and pictures is simply outstanding, the models are gorgeous, navigating is a breeze. What more could a PU want! One more comment: I am astounded at the quality of the "older" material. Even the 640x480 wmv videos look excellent even when viewed full screen. Highly recommended for "close up" fans.

First, I'll note the improvements: full access to everything (what a change!), overall improvement in image quality, and an upcoming doubling of updates (to every other day) starting July 16th.

But as you note, the angles leave much to be desired. This is true with the pics as well. The site is really stuck in a mode. Another vexing consistency is, when the girl is shot from the back, it's either full body head-to-toe or just the ass in the frame. There are very few top-of-head to upper-thigh framed pics, which you can often get at lots of other sites. And the girl usually faces away so that you can't even see her face! The fairly recent Betty Saint pics are that way, for instance.

At least with the recent Jane F on the couch, she's looking back at the camera, but again it's either ass only or fully head to toe.

I've downloaded and tossed vids that have too much of the odd angles. Anyway, I hope the webmaster is reading this and takes into consideration what I'm saying.

My neck hurts from constantly having to cock my head to the side while watching these vids. I'm starting with the oldest vids and working my way up. Whenever the girl is shot walking around, the camera records the action from a ridiculous angle so that her body goes *diagonally* across the screen instead of up and down. I don't mind the odd tilt for change of perspective, but this is a headache. There is one vid showing several minutes of a girl on a treadmill. The very good news is that "In The Crack's" Webmaster understands and gets it. Unfortunately he started the site off with some user-unfriendly attributes that, although they are now corrected, will linger on in the review sites because they once existed.

Now, that said, it's time to check my "playtime" budget to see if I can handle a $35 whack...then on to a signup.

As you say, a lot of factors affect download speed. I've had conversations about this with Alex of ALS Scan, because they are very proud of their work to have the fastest download speeds available, while I, with a cable connection that tests very fast, often experience download speeds of 200 kbs/sec with ALS Scan, not impressive at all.

My ISP is Comcast, and I understand that Comcast itself sometimes slows down downloads.

There's a lot more factors involved in download speed than just our server and your internet connection. There's a relevant section on our FAQ page http://www.inthecrack.com/faq.php explaining this exact subject. I personally get an average of 1.8 MB/sec from the site. Some people can get as much as 3 MB/sec. The average for most people with cable is between 700 KB to 1 MB/sec. Undoubtedly there are many things that can affect your download speed but if in doubt I'd recommend testing the free sampler first to see what you get.

I was recently a memeber for 2 months. I thought the site was great. But I canceled because during the second month becuase the download speeds got extremely slow. I emailed asking what happen to the site with no response. I even tried downloading at different times of of the day, (4 AM) the speed got a little better but it could take well over an hour to download the various clips for the video. One evening it took almost an hour just to download the zip file. I plan on joining again because I thought the site was well worth it but if the speed issue is not addressed I doubt I will join or recommend.

I really gave the site a good going over by sampling most of the previews because I was sorely tempted to join, but a 30 Gig a month download limit? With the high definition and high quality videos this site offers it wouldn't take very long to reach that. Given the large file sizes of most new videos I'm afraid I'll have to pass not only on this site, but on any site that sets monthly limits.

Yes, I agree that the repeated lines, whether they're hyperbole or hypoperbole (?), can get a bit tiresome. Guess I'm so jaded that I just gloss over them.

And I also prune down the sets when things get to being too much the same, or too pre-med, or of course when the girl has a weird or pissy look on her face. That last one doesn't happen often at The Crack, fortunately. (Twistys is another site that suffers from excessive similitude in photosets.)

Well, there's hardly ever a set that I don't toss pics from, wherever it comes from. Blurriness, what-were-they-thinking croppings, big-ass babe covered by bigger-ass watermark, etc. Those are directed to the bin.

I asked if maybe he could post both 'full sets' and 'condensed sets' but he said I'm the only one who ever complained about this and he wouldn't be doing that - which is fair enough I suppose. I'll just continue to 'prune' my own sets once downloaded.

One thing I'd like to add to Davit's comprehensive review is the amount of annotation done for the videos. Those notes have really helped me to decide which videos I wanted to download. And they're very frank, such as the notes on the ass massage of Michaela Fenclova (Evelin at TheCrack) being done with male hands, which some may not like.

Very few sites include this much in the way liner notes, tune by tune.

That getting pixelly, as you call it, is called ghosting - something I've yet to see eliminated on any LCD monitor. Damn shame the powers that be (capitalist marketing) won out and sold us all on flat screens. I tried like hell to find a large CRT monitor that's hi-def but they just don't seem to make 'em anymore. Yeah - the 1280x720 movies are crystal clear on my 17" monitor, and the colours are so natural. I haven't felt the need to go higher than that (not that my processor could really handle it anyway).

To be honest though, I have downloaded the vast majority in the 640x360 version, after weighing 'picture quality' versus 'size of file on my hard disk' and 'speed of responsiveness of my media player'. I find these are still very good quality, and the close-ups are still very detailed. It just gets a little bit pixelly where there's fast movement, and the colours are a bit less vibrant. But the brain is very good at dismissing that, when the action is so hot.

32" 1080p monitor/tv here. Believe me, you won't be disappointed if you've got hi-def. But make sure you've got the processor to run the 1920 vids. I'm overclocked - running at 3.6 ghz - and I sometimes have to reboot to keep them from running smoothly. Seems I'm settling for the 1280 resolution - but they look GOOD!

Bah - I'm saving up for a 1080p HD DLP Digital Projector - image diagonal: 100 inches! Of course the downfall to this is that the system total price, when including the screen, the projector, the ceiling mount and the extended cabling means a price tag reaching into the mid two grand.... Yes, it may be a few months before that comes to fruition. So I suppose having a 22" display today has its benefits.

No matter - Blu-Ray won, must upgrade!

Thanks for the good review, Davit. This one is on my short list and most likely I'll be signing up very soon. Since acquiring a 22 inch monitor I've had a yen for huge, clear pics. Since I can't have these beautiful women actually use my face as a chair, this might be the next best thing. ;)

Useful review, thanks - repetitiveness in these super-niche sites is a real difficult hurdle - though I must say the unique nature of this site's content has me intrigued. I hadn't realized until today that they had gotten rid of the Token system (I know, I'm behind on that one) - I've been rather interested in the site for awhile, so I may have to join now that it has been unleashed.

I took a quick ganger (the action, not the waterfowl) at their "What's New" page and I think the best answer to your question about update regularity is one video and two photo sets per week, with a little bit of wiggle room... It would be nice if they put a date on the coming soon stuff though.

Use a DM squire - FDM works great with In The Crack for movies, and DownThemAll is good for pics. Hopefully then, if a download fails, you can just pick it up again once the site is back up.

I had a download of one vid that, when the site was really slow about a week ago, after waiting over an hour for it, it quit at 93% complete. Owwwhhh! I love this stuff too much!

BTW, someone there has a real knack for puns, such as Peaches vid titled "Wiggley's Bubble Bum." Some of them are pretty funny!

Well, after being offline, after video download interruptions, things worked fine... for a few days :( because their website is offline again!!!
