- Price is reasonable

Some where in the review explain some of this, a new reader would have to go to the site to know what details are being explained.
However if you put who and what the Frequent updates
- Well known talent- High Resolution zip DL- High Def video clips- Price is reasonable, that would encourage people to go visit and would give you most possibly better points on your review too to give details on a review. I notice you put price is reasonable and also that it went up? See as a reader that tells me very little, I do not what the price was, and is and what you think is reasonable.

Was wondering if anyone could tell me if membership still includes acess to NicoleGraves.com? I was a member of the site a few years ago and it did then. Was wondering if they still do? Her site says you get access to Twistys (but no PornUsers $$ deal), so was wondering if it worked the other way around still.

I HATE that, thanks for warning everyone. We've got to stop using sites that treat their customers so badly so we can raise standards across the industry. Porn consumers are like any other comsumer, we are paying customers and entitled to great service and respect, not to be ripped off!
Who handles their billing? I'd complain to them and demand a full refund on the basis you were misled. If enough people do that it might have an effect, as well as warnings like yours on sites like this!

After having been on porn hiatus for a while I logged in today and found Twisty's advertising a $1, 2 day full access trial. Alright I think to myself. Catch up on some of the stuff since I last joined. WRONG. After paying out and logging in you get this lovely little message: "As a trial member you get access to 3 Scenes & 3 Photo Sets hand picked by Twistys Staff". Frickin' yeah. Obviously, don't bother with the current trial offer here.

Guess the cybertoad 85 is - somewhat - fair. The site is an old timer, for sure - and does/has done a lot of good over the years.
Still my main cons here af a vids fan - and ONLY this as a vids fan: Those moving pictures (vids) are getting more and more repetitive - the same editing/style over and over again - a bit like Digital Desire..

I really liked the changes that Shap brought to it over the past year or two. As pointed out above, it's been a classy site. I've also enjoyed the sense of humor there.

Brazzers takes a very different approach. So many of the models are super-tatted, super-(fake)-titted supervixens. Frankly, it's a pretty skanky place to be. It's not always like that, mind you, but I wonder if the Brazzers owners are going to keep the Twistys spirit alive or, being as everyone is, creatures of habit, give it the kind of "twist" the long-term fans of Twistys might not care for.

Owners are owners and content-producers are another thing. When the current owners bought Brazzers, they didn't change what the site was about. They just made sure they had the money to do Brazzers material in the most high-quality way and they made the site more honest for the customers, less of a bait-and-switch, nickel-and-dime operation.

I'm hopeful that they will deal with Twistys with the same outlook.

Sometimes you get owners who think they're content-producers or are looking for synchronicity so they start doing cut-backs to avoid what they see as duplication. That's when you start seeing problems and only time will tell whether they go down that path.

If nothing else, you can value Twistys as an archive site because of the huge amount of past content.

But it will be interesting to see how the new content changes. I never liked Brazzers. What I'm hoping to see is a new Twistys with a slightly harder edge. But still keeping the glamor-style. With good-looking models.

Is that too much to hope for?

New Owners For Twistys

Shap announced in the Twistys forum today that he has sold Twistys to the owners of Brazzers. He was craving more time with his family and I'm sure that he had built Twistys into a valuable business. I wish Shap the best. He's certainly been one of the most classy and open site-owners in all of his posts on this site. And while I felt that Brazzers was at one time a bait-and-switch operation, all of that pre-dated the current ownership, who have operated the site in a more honest way with a lot of high-quality material. So it seems like a good match and one that should bode well for the future.

Tried the trial before returning

To say that I've been disappointed with most sites these days would be an understatement. I wasn't really for sure if I was just running out of interest in most porn or if most porn just wasn't very interesting. So, I decided to take a trial of my all-time favorite site Twistys since it had been about 7 months since I was last a member. The first thing I noticed is the new, at least to me, way to download picture zips. You hover your mouse pointer over the zip icon and the different size options pop up. Just from first glance it looks like fall 2009 was when the "large" photos became available on picture sets which is a lot considering 3 photo sets a day. These large zips have 2000x3000 resolution pictures in them and I think that's more than acceptable. Even the "medium" zips are 1000x1600 resolution which is adequate and those look to date back into 2006 on some sets.

Not really for sure about the trial, similar to wittyguy's comment, maybe there are different trials, but the one I signed up with through PU directly to Twistys was $1 for 2 days. It lets me download the picture sets, but if I click a set to view in browser it says I need to upgrade to a full membership. I also cannot download movies in this trial. Anything that requires a click is bouncing me to the upgrade to full membership page.

That's not a complaint at all. The trial still lets you see everything that has been updated for every model AND download the picture sets. I can't see anyone complaining about that for $1.

Also want to say that if Twistys does one thing better than any site it is the quality of models, especially newer models. Having said that, they at least have confirmed it's not me losing my interest in porn just that most sites aren't delivering porn that interests me. You could maybe see this as a slight warning to those looking for a full trial for the $1 price. Also continuing in my praise of Twistys for not bailing out on us longtime fans. Once this month runs out, I like joining at the first of the month to make sure I get all the new Treats content for the month, I'll be back to a full membership.

Trial Memberships and Pics

I usually venture back to Twisty's once a year or so to catch up on anything that I've missed when browsing other super sites. Doing my annual checkup I noticed a couple of things:

1. Twisty's has a great full access trial membership for two days for a few bucks (please don't yank this Shap, I dig it). However, it is a bit curious that your fees can vary depending on which entry site you use. I found two day trial prices varying from $3.88 to $2.95 to $1.00 (the one buck deal is through the AnetteDawn site). A little weird but I guess it pays off to poke (figuratively that is) around. Also, you get different billing processors (ccbill or epoch) depending which site you join through.

2. As I'm more of a pic guy and Twisty's has lots of pics I like the site. However, this time around I noticed that a lot of models in both the hardcore and softcore sets seem overly cropped in that you rarely see full body shots. I don't mind closeups and tight shots but especially when it comes to solo models I like to see the whole body more than I what I get here. Just a suggestion for future crop jobs there guys.

While I'm on the pic topic I also note that the photosets seem a bit small. Not many sites push the 30 to 100 images per set but, again, when it comes to solo models a lot of these sets feel like they've been cut short. I don't need thousands of pics but more in this case would be better.

This was actually a screwup on our part. We had always intended to have full update list. I've had that corrected. The updates page goes all the way back. It doesn't go back to when we started the site but goes back to 2002 :)

I know in terms of producing content and spending money on content no glamour site produces or spends more than us. I would say 4 or 5 years ago Babelicious and Twistys were very similar. Back then there were a number of companies producing high quality glamour content available to be licensed. In the past few years most of them have gone out of business. Both Babelicious and ourselves relied heavily on them for our updates. We saw the writing on the wall and started producing more and more exclusive content. Hope that helps :)

When I have been on Babelicious, I have often found that Twisty's had the same material posted earlier - and it would have been one of their multiple posts that day, unlike Babelicious.

Twistys also posts a fair amount of Exclusive material, unlike Babelicious.

Yes..I've tried both and i would definatley say Twistys is the better of the two sites. Babelicious is currently running at about 5 updates per week where as in Twistys i seem to remember it being something like 4 to 6 updates per day.

The characterization of toys and finger play as "midcore" is associated with the pornography standards of magazines over the latter part of the 20th Century.

Playboy was the first mainstream porn mag to show muff back in the late 1960's, creating a mild firestorm. Penthouse grabbed the momentum by showing modest amounts of genitalia, usually somewhat hidden by bush and, by today's standards, very mild.

Content in mainstream porn mags with any form of insertion arrived in the late 1990's in Hustler who toyed with the process earlier with solo labia lip activity.

To be blunt, the content "lacked" what I wanted; it "lacked" the spark, erotic appeal, or, more importantly, the ability to do anything for me.
As I stated in my review,: "the site delivers"......just not for me. I don't doubt I'm in the minority with my views, but in fairness to an honest review I'm calling it like I see it.
It might be worth adding that Twistys "lacked" my interest so much that I logged on only about ten times during my months' membership.
To Twisty's credit, however, and something I forgot to mention, is that I was strongly impressed with their provision to critique each model and feature. Also, it is very likely I'll try another Twisty site with a different nitch .......in fact, as of this moment, there's a discount invitation in my mailbox for that very thing.

The " " in the middle of the url is not actually there. I had to break the link up because the posting kept trying to put ... in the middle of it to make it look shorter. The trouble was that it was cutting out the important part that you needed to be able to see. Getting older update pages tip

At the top of the updates page they say they go back at least 6 months, but they have links taking you back to January 2008. The site has been around longer than that and I am sure some people would like to see at least some of the older content. Going through the model pages is a pain because you have new stuff mixed with old stuff. So here is the trick!

Look in your URL box when on one of the monthly update pages, it should look something like this:
"http://random.members.twistys.com/" "updates?offset=-30&offsetmode=2" that random string of stuff changes so that links expire a couple times a day. Anyway, notice after "offset=" there is a number "-30" and this number gets higher with every month you go back. Once you run out of links on the update page just put in "-38" for example and that will take you back into 2007. The pages look just the same as they do for 2010 and all the links still work, even the zip file links on the main update page.

As of July 2010 it goes back to 105, which is October 2001. This coming August will make it go to 106 and so on each month.

Just a little something I thought I would share with all of you. It is not hacking in anyway, just makes getting around the site a little easier. Enjoy.

Go with Twistys. The videos a much better and they update a lot more than DDG. A lot of the DDG videos spend 70% of the time fading from one screen to another so you do not get many clear shots.

td3x is just the email service Twisty's used to send out their mass mailing. The link is just so they can count how many people click the links from the emails. If you want, just type in your browser twistystreats.com and that sends you to epoch's servers, which is a reputable billing company.
