Site Updates

I have joined this site several times over the years. I cannot honestly fault it in nearly every way. Some of the couples don't suit my taste's but you would expect that. The quality and speed of the downloads are superb no question about it. The 5gb download limit across the 30 days is fine in my opinion. The picture quality is superb, I dont have any interest in single model content, but some might. I would prefer to see 2 couple updates per week than 1 couple and 1 single model. I certainly suggest joining for a month you will not be disappointed. I had to contact the customer service department once and I got an email back with 8 hours which is superb. Quality verses Price it has the right mix for an excellent amateur site. 9 out of 10 and no site is perfect thats for sure.

As another old fart, I agree with you about the California look. It is just not interesting to me. The newer HD sites, especially with attractive looking European women, with fake boobs is a real turn-off. Women with a few years on them and some flaws are real and interesting to watch. I'll take paper over plastic every time.

I was a member several years back when the site was quite new and enjoyed it thoroughly. The scene endings in facials in all movies gets a bit over scripted and routine but the variety of couples and bodies is great.
As to the couples not being perfect lookers, let me give you an old farts view. Trust me as you get older, you get tired of plastic boobs, blonds and the California look. Your fantasies will change with time. I'd rather see boobs moving and swaying erotically than rigid bolders. Im not perfect, and its the diversity in looks that makes people erotic. Viva la difference.
That said, and being an obsessive archivist, the download limits tend to intimidate me. I am one of those who like to download all the site content(videos, told you I was obsessive) but a daily limit of 5 gigs is OK, I just worry about going over limits, and getting locked out.
That said, I intend to join again and enjoy the newer content added since my last membership.

that's very true... there are allot of hot pornstars and they do god awful action scenes. That's why i like the porn star scenes on your site, because they're just having fun without having to pose or prop themselves up for the studio & director.. You are right about not splitting the site up. That's why I've grappled with that idea for years now. And probably won't do it, at least not for a while.

As far as how some of the recent couples look, I agree. I could always use more great looking peoples but you don't always get what you want and if you want to keep your updates regular and on time, you have to go with what you can get. That's why I always try to focus more on the action than the looks. Some of the couples may not be as hot looking as others but when the action is real and they get into it, you get a scene worth watching. Also, this helps to remind you that this is a site that uses real couples and you get the same cross section of the real world out there. Some will always look better than the rest. And some will always perform better, no matter how they look.

well, its a matter of taste to be honest, and for me, the couples on the site in quite afew of the updates are not the kind of people i want to see having sex. but like i said, that's just my taste, and it certainly has changed over the years.

Personally i don't think it's worth splitting the site up, you'll get more complaints and negative feedback then positive.

for what its worth you've done a good job keeping that site running. allot of sites have flaked out by now.

I have thought about this already. In hind sight, I should have made two separate sites. One for strictly amateur couples and one for real porn stars. I started this site to be strictly amateur and somewhere along the line it just went into a different direction. Some people like the diversity and the mix and some don't. This site is basically a compilation of my own interests, brought together under one roof. And that's very confusing to most people who are used to very specified niches. Once this site reaches a certain size, I might split it in two or more pieces. But that would take a lot of work and I'll have to wait and see if I think it's worth the effort.

But I have to disagree that the couples have gotten uglier lately. I think the people on the site still have the same aesthetic balance as before. There were plenty of very attractive couples on the site just in the last year. Believe me, I'm always trying to get the best ones. But my budget is very limited and there are a lot of flakes out there. So it's not that easy. But I'm trying and I do appreciate the feedbacks:)

I would step in as an ex-member and make a comment:
I really don't like the couples i see on the updates page.....

Most are either fat, not attractive, or downright fugly.... Not to sound weird, i know it's amateur porn, but still, i don't want to see that. Hot chicks, young couples, petite cuties, exotic asians, none of that i have seen in any of the updates in months...

Like in the past there were hot chicks, and even pornstars, and it was all good, Liv wylder, Jessica Valentino, etc, they did great scenes, and the amateur scenes back then were good. I dunno, for the last 6 months or so, the updates to me have not made me want to re-join.

But that;s just my opinion and my tastes, ultimately there are obviously people that like the content you're putting out, and ultimately if i want to see cuties like alexis love or amai liu, i should look at sites that provide that, instead of gripe at a site which provides a certain niche.

perhaps it's time to start up another site in relation to velvetecstacy?

I think you just about redeemed yourself with the last post.

Personally I would not touch a site, if I knew the limit was even 5GB a day. I could download that in about 30 minutes. That would mean I could only use the site for 30 mins a day.

I would rather not have to visit a site every single day anyway, so if I only used the site 2 or 3 times a week I would end up with a paltry 10-15GB worth of downloads per week.

Nothing against your site, I have never been a member. Just the limit sounds poor to me.

You are right. I guess I was in a bad mood yesterday. I've increased the limit to 5 Gigs for now. If the bandwidth doesn't get abused I may lift it all together. I have to watch closely what the bandwidth cost is compared to the price I charge. It's very hard to compete with big sites that have thousands of videos and no limits when you have a limited budget. Sorry if I came across as sarcastic:)

The download limit is 3 Gigs a day NOT 2, which is more than enough for 99% of my members. And yes, you do get what you pay for. I'll be very happy to lift the limit but then I'll have to charge you extra to cover the bandwidth that a small minority will abuse by sucking up the entire content with the use of download managers and essentially pay only for a generous $7 for 7 days trial to steal everything from the site. I think I'll keep it as it is, thank you:)

I was a member here about 6 months ago and was not all that impressed with it. The pics were good sized (full screen or larger) but they did tend to be grainy as others have noted and the lighting is sort of hit or miss. The still photography wasn't that good either for my tastes. For me, the site was too amateur. By this I mean the models were mostly average and the production not terribly good. For those who like real couple sex then I could see that this might be a turn on but I thought that the production value could be better. I didn't download very much and kept even less.

Well, we've had our debates on here about how big a limit should be on daily downloads, and so far on this one, I've been getting around 2.5 gigs per day which will equal out to around 60 gigs for 14.95 and I can definitely deal with that. I believe the limit is 3 gigs. Overall, the content for a amateur site is pretty high quality. This is a good site for those who are married and their spouse likes to watch movies with them. I will post a review in a few weeks, but for now, I'm thinking high 80s, maybe 86-88, which is really good for an amateur site under $15!

As for your comparison to car rentals, not that it's an accurate analogy, but still: almost all car rental companies have mileage limit on their contracts. They can't just stop the cars so they charge extra for overage mileages. We don't cut people off permanently when they download excessively. We block them for only 24 hours to allow for an overall wider bandwidth and faster download speed for all our members.

First of all, I take issue with your indicating that someone downloading in excess of 2 gigs a day is abusing a system. When a person signs up, you do not indicate anywhere in your terms or conditions that there will be a download limit. As such, it is open.
If you had indicated that there was a 2 gig limit, I presume many would not have joined.

As an example of what your site does, suppose I go to rent a vehicle while on vacation and the contract does not limit miles. However, when I go to use the vehicle, it stops after 100 miles. Implied in the contract is unfettered use unless stated otherwise.

While I can understand the expense that your site must cost to maintain, it would be appropriate to advise all users when they sign up that you will limit their usage. Your blaming the user for using the product that he purchased is not appropriate.

If we lift the limit completely the overall bandwidth use (and cost) will go up and we will have to increase the membership fee to compensate for it, which is something we are trying to avoid.

If you have no intention of abusing the system there is no need for more than 2 gigs a day download. That's about 15 scenes in a day. No one needs that much porn:) At any rate, the bandwidth seems to have loosened up a bit lately so we've increased the limit to 3 Gigs a day for now.

Yes. There is a 2 Gig daily download limit. We may remove this limit later if the bandwidth abuse stops. But every time we remove it some people join for the three day trial only and use their download managers to suck up the entire content of the site. Most people, however, hardly download more than 2 gigs a day so they don't even know the limit is there. We have over 140 Gigs of exclusive videos that cost us thousands of dollars to produce and we are not going to give it all away for just $8. That's why the limit is there.

I'm really baffled by what you said about the picture and movie quality. Maybe you only downloaded the low res pics and videos. The pictures are all 1024x768 and the videos are available at 640x480 for download. That is about the best there is on the Internet, specially for an amateur site. This is not Met Art or Hegre. I signed up for a 30 day package, and have received a receipt for a 12 month subscription, having been charged over $100.
I am fortunate that I looked at this receipt - normally I just file them in my email folder in case there is a transaction I don't recognise on my ccard bill.

However, I am happy to report that I emailed the support desk and within 24 hours this problem had been rectified and the charges had been refunded in full - so it would appear that the customer service is excellent

Just to let the reviewers and others know, I update the site 5 days a week. i agree that the older to midway, the vids are pretty rough. The newer vids though are much better quality though. it got a 90 from me because i've been trying to find decent real amateur sites, and they're hard to find. most either don't have much content or just use regular models and pass them off as amateurs, or worse, don't have exclusive content.

It's a taste thing though with this site, some will love it, some will find it boring, some will find it 50/50.

Decent point there, I was unimpressed with the content a few months ago, but 106 sets is quite a bit. It's still getting no score of 90 from me. Not with 1998-quality video. But I'll update my review.
