I will try to explain this as best as possible. We do not put Exotics on Archives because our members like to keep them separate. They do not like to see the Exotics models on the others sites that is why we keep them archived to the Exotics site. We get complaints when we have exotic models on hairy and so forth.

As far as Premium the is not as large as the others so we like to keep the material for Premium only on Premium.

We have decided not to do a mature site right now but all of our mature models (those over 30) all go on Hairy. That is why you see gallery trades with All Over 30 on there.

Material from Exotics & Premium would be more of a draw, along with Petites in due time. ;0)

Capn' is right as usual. The content has to be at least 4 years old before it is moved to Archives.

However, not all content goes to Archives. If the model is labeled as exotic no matter which site she is on or how old the material is it will be moved to the Exotics site. We do not move Exotic girls to the Archives site.

We also do not move content from Premium to Archives. And of course Petites is too new to have anything moved over.

Well, the deal basically is that selected older items ( over 4 years old, I think ) from all their other sites is moved here.
It isn't just the amateur stuff.

If it is old but popular content, it has a fair chance of showing up here at some point.

As yet there is no content from Petites, as that hasn't been going long enough yet.

It is very good resource for photo freaks.
Especially to catch up on older content from sites you have never or seldom subscribed to.
Probably less use for video folk as the quality won't be state of the art.

Been a member of 3 or 4 ATK sites over the years - and some of it is in the league where I want to go back.
BUT: Still a bit confused about which site does what (except from the special deals like Petites, Hairy and Exotics...)
My favorite used to be Galleria - but the "Archives" has much more content - is that only "amateurs"???

BTW: to Khan or others at TBP here: You missed the "K" for Galleria in the TBP profile....

Curious About Remastered Images

I wonder if by remastered images if they also mean resized. Or are they all still 1024 pixels on the long end?

I tried to find out by going to their "Real Time Model Directory" as a visitor, but it's got an SQL problem and is spewing error messages.

Hi Graymane, you'll never forgive me for this but I am still a subscriber to this site for at least another month but I don't know for how much longer exactly because I deleted my link to this site as well as my user name and password on my computer ages ago because I got aggravated every time I checked their updates consisting of outdated and low grade material, and I haven't been back because I found it to be (and this is where you will get angry with me) one of the worst sites I had ever subscribed to and no longer had any interest in it. I am basically letting my subscription lapse without visits because the video updates were really mostly blurry (especially in streaming) when compared to those of other sites and their HD content I already possessed from another site. I did try their old site but the first download I attempted was around 64 KB/s, so I gave up altogether. Sorry, that we have to disagree so strongly about a site that you obviously cherish. I am about to disappoint another old friend in connection with a site he highly recommended so I'm not exactly a happy camper. However I have to be true to my convictions and can't do anything about my taste! :-)

Please understand, messmer, I don't want you to think I'm being "pushey" .... or still have my foot in the door on this one:
But hear me out!
I don't recall, but I think you made some effort -- apart from joining -- in briefly perusing Skin Video, the site I suggested to you late last year.
Skin Video's promotional introductions and tour takes you mostly only into it's hardcore stuff....
Why? I can only guess it's because of the variety and vastness of its content. And membership is the only avenue I know of that gets you into the maze of different stuff they offer. My suggestion would be picking their option to go onto their "old site."
It is here the door opens into so damned much stuff. Although somewhat disorganized, there's plenty for everybody's nitches.
I could be wrong, though..... as it has to do with your particular interests.
My point, messmer, is if you've painted yourself into a corner in seemingly fruitless searchs for what you want, it ought to be worth the reasonable $15 sum to go back to get in and look around ...

That "evaporating" thing happens to me all the time, so don't feel bad, gray! :-) As to ATK Natural and Hairy, if you haven't been a member for a long, long time you might find a subscription worth your while. On the other hand if it's only been months then it's nothing but unbroken monotony. Or so it was for me, and even keeping in mind that tastes are different it can't be only me because too many other users are not thinking too highly of the most recent sets either. Unless they've changed since I left. God, there has to come a break soon .. too many sites offering blech stuff. Or maybe I'm getting too old for this .... !

Thanks, graymane and the rest of you gentlemen. That gives me a little bit more info.

Graymane have you been to ATK Natural and Hairy recently? If not, see my comments there! I subscribed only a few months ago and was bored out of my skull with 95% of their updates. Other users must have felt the same way because only a handful of sets out of hundreds were considered hot, so I wouldn't count on it being a win - win situation.

If the Archives had some decent material from their other sites (above 800x600 for picture sets) then I might take a chance in the hope that updates to ATK N&H have improved in the meantime.

Basically it appears to be stuff that is maybe 3 years old or so moved from their other sites.

The material is selected though, the turkeys don't make the cut. ;0)

Simlar to their other sites though the actual site itself has been revamped to current standards.

Whilst current updates are not quite current state of the art size & quality, the recent material at least is quite acceptable.
The really older stuff you have to make allowance for.

There is good value to be had here, because there is material from all their sites uploaded.

Unless you have been a member of all their sites all the time, you are going to regularly find material you haven't seen before.

Is it worthwhile?

Yes, most certainly for photos, probably less so for video.

I just received a special offer that would give me this site for free if I re-subscribed to ATK Natural and Hairy. I know I haven't been too complimentary when it comes to the latter but if Archives is any good it would be worth considering the offer.

So, here's the question: Does "archives" stand for mainly outdated formats like 800x600 px for picture sets and 640x480 for videos, or is there newer stuff to be found? Thanks!

Yes, Capn' this will be a regular thing. We did add another movie day to the update lineup and the new movies are being put up in all of the formats the other sites offer except HD.

I am only guessing this is going to be a regular thing but.

Last Sunday we got a full batch of Photo Updates. :0)
The site didn't previously update on a Sunday.

The week ran through as normal, Movies Monday & then Photo Updates for the remainder of the week until today.
Today is Movie Update day too!

In all honesty it doesn't ring my bell, because I am not really into videos, but others may appreciate it.

That's certainly what I've thought when a member of "Natural & Hairy." Sure, there were some babes in there, but it's like having to eat chopped liver for 20 minutes to get to 1 minute of fudge brownie sundae.

I've always thought that the word "natural" has been overused in order to fool the easily impressionable, who might not consider that what is "natural" includes cockroaches, spider toxins, and Mt. St. Helens.

Thank you for commenting on our site. I just wanted to let you know that the material you will find on Archives will be from Natural & Hairy and Galleria. The material spends 4 years on the main site before it is moved to Archives. The video quality, as you said, is not the best because of the age of the material but we have started demanding better quality from our photographers and have even taken a couple of our sites up to HD quality. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I joined this site when they sent out the mailers to former ATK members offering $9.99/mo membership - and at that price, this site is very much worth it.

ATK's editorial position seems to be that virtually every woman alive that is willing to pose nude should be used as a model - so I find that I have to do a LOT of clicking in order to find models that I am interested in seeing much of - and I frequently click away quickly wishing that I hadn't seen what I just did. I'm not a fan of their Natural & Hairy site - not my thing at all - and there's a lot of that material here.

But there's a large number of sets of Sarah Blake. There are a lot of sets of Sandra Shine. And there are a lot of real "finds" if you are willing to click until you find babes that are hot.

The presentation of new material doesn't give you much of a clue as to what you'll find when you click - and the presentation of the vids is so - well, crappy - and there are so many unattractive models on this site (for my tastes) that I'm not even bothering to look at vids.

But I like finding new babes and hidden jewels so I plan on sticking around - they are currently posting material with a copyright date of 2004 so I'm sure that there will be lots of good stuff to come - and members of this site certainly don't need to worry about a dearth of updates, which come at a rate of 75 or so per week.

I've gotten similar offers a few times before by ATK, and I'm not sure if they were limited to the Archives site. I've been a member of all of their sites, and most of them several times, so maybe this is their way of paying back frequent flyers. Not that they don't pay you back in spades with the amount of content already.

I wanted to let all of you know that the ATK Lounge has been redone and is now a forum for you to post all of your comments about the sites we have. You can comment on anything you like or just talk to other users.

Simply go to http://www.atklounge.com/ and use the user name and password you use for your membership on the site. We know not everyone who enjoys ATK material is a member so we have two areas for you to enjoy. If you visit our free sites simply create you a user name and password on the forum and you have access to the site. Of course there will be some areas reserved for members only but you are still able to use the majority of the site.

We are also bringing in Web Cam events for our members on the forum and behind the scene articles with pictures from the shoots. We already have one posted with Gracie Glam by Ray and I am about to put one up from the shoot I attended yesterday with Proxy Paige. We are adding photo galleries and some other items.

I agree with you that this is an excellent site for those that like amateur softcore photographic content.

A plethora ( wonderful word that! ;0) ) of different models with a regular updates as older material is moved across from their other sites.

Great value for those that haven't been members of ATKs other sites.
If you have been a long term member of any of their sites though, you do eventually keep coming accross deja vu. ;0)

It does take a long time to reach that point though.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Melissa and I am the new web mistress for ATK Movies. ATK Movies is a new site we just launched a couple days ago so at this point we are still in beta testing. Please be patient with us as we work out kinks and get is perfect for you. We just want to make it an enjoyable experience for all. ATK Movies is different from our other sites because this one is not a monthly fee website. You simply purchase credits, or as we call them crowns and then buy the movies you want. Each movie has a trailer and 16 thumbnails that you can browse through before you purchase the movie. Once you purchase the movie with your crowns it is yours. You can watch it once or 1,000 times, it is your choice. Your credit card will never be billed a monthly fee so there is not a membership to ever worry about canceling. You simply purchase the amount of crowns you want and that is it. On this site we have a little of everything. Soft, hard, watersports, preg.....you name it I am loading it up. Currently I have loaded 500 movies onto the site and that total is rising everyday. Each day 9 new movies are loaded for you so there will not be a shortage of material.

Thanks for the reply, WWW. I think there's a yearning in both of us for contents that are rapidily going the way of the Dodo. I too hate thongs and tattoos and piercings etc. but it's the in-thing. That's why it's becoming so hard to find a site that appeals to anyone over thirty.

Messmer, I wish I could answer your question precisely, but it's been over nine months since I was at the Archives, and this was long before my external hard-drive, so I put everything I download from there on CD. It would take a lot of time to find the material, since I have tons of CDs.

If I remember correctly, most of the earliest pics are probably 800 X 600, but more recent pics are larger, yet still small by today's standards. Quality-wise, the oldest pics from the Archives are pretty bad, these being from the late nineties. What is frustrating for me is that while the pic size and quality were poor in those days, the style and content of the pictures were more appealing to me: more amateurish/girl-next-doorish as opposed to arsty/slick/glamorous, more old-school undies as opposed to thongs, butt-floss, and various kinds of shorts posing as panties, less tattoos and piercings, etcetera.

I don't know if they tried to upgrade the condition of old pic sets, sorry. If memory serves, I don't think so. Bear in mind, I cut my teeth in the old Newsgroups which posted pics from ATK all the time, and I was happy to be able to go and find the complete sets for most of those pics. That went a long way in making my experience with ATK's Archives more pleasurable. I suppose I was slightly biased.

WWW, I am tempted. When you talk about picture size how small is small? Also has any attempt been made to have the earliest sets look better? It hasn't been that long since everything looked grainy and grayish and was 800 x 600.
