A while ago I had some problems with them too. For some reason, my account was blocked and I had to email them to solve the problem. Then I tried opening a new account, and when they discovered that it was me they unblocked the old account and told me to "stop opening new accounts". A bit rudely, if you ask me...

In general, customer support at Streamate is really good (probably the best I've seen in this adult business), but they do seem to have occasional problems with their billing department...

i had 15 billings and rebillings on my card but the rebillings were from the same firm that the billings made without my intervenation. spam was empty. i recieved like you earlier everytime i had a billing a recent email. but none of that happened....

Maybe Streamate.com tried to charge something on your card and your bank didn't allow it? If I remember correctly, they were sending me an email whenever a charge was made on my card. Check your spam folder in case there's an email with further info there.

someone else got problems?

recently i achived an email that my whole account is banned. after answer email they told me it had something to do with my credit card, but there was no access on my credit card from third parties (forbidden access e.g.) i am totally disappointed that the costumer service wasn`t able to tell me when exactly the forbidden access happened and why they have closed my wohle account (had plenty of favorites an now i am not willing to renew them with a new account).

Thanks indeed for the long reply and the model's perspective on the show type and her options. My comment was written about the time they launched it but, despite my initial disapproval, ended up joining a couple Gold Shows ever since.

I used to like having 1 on 1 with pornstars and Streamate is probably the site with the most pornstars. For the time being, at least. It's frustrating to only have the option to get Gold Shows from them now. I've ended up removing most of my favorites and canceling the SMS alerts. Haven't spent on Streamate in a long while.

I have definitely heard of camgirls who "milk" the show and try not to get naked until a few minutes into the show. That sucks and they shouldn't rip you off like that. You have every right to leave the room if they're doing that.

On the other hand, my friend who works for the site told me that she will slowly undress in the first 1/2 min, and not show nudity until the customer is ACTUALLY paying. So if you're talking about someone waiting until your "free peek" is up, that's why. My friend gets about 20 to 100 guys every single day who pop in and out of her private show and don't pay. I can totally see how you guys really want to see what the model looks like before you commit to paying. Maybe she took a really good pic and she's butt-ugly in real life. On the other hand, understand that there are THOUSANDS of so-called "customers" on the site who spend hours and hours going from room to room ducking in and out of private sessions and never paying models a single penny. She often has a guy who will come in to the show, leave, come back, leave... do it three to ten times in one show. Finally she just has to stand there with her hand on the mouse to ban him when he comes back.

On the one hand, I can see how some people would use this feature honestly. But I can see how it's a bad thing for you guys, because if you're the one who took the model private and she's trying to ban guys who are buzzing in and out of her room, that takes away from your show. Also, if she's not getting naked right away, it might be because she's already had ten guys that day who took her private (ACTUALLY pulled her into the room, pulled her away from other potential REAL customers) and then left before they were paying. My friend said she now gives about 25% to 75% of her shows for free because guys are scamming her.

So maybe the girls aren't trying to scam you. Maybe they're afraid of being scammed. I'm not saying you do that. But these girls get more and more wary everyday. But the ones who just totally rip you off by stalling for minutes and minutes... well, I wouldn't stick around for that show either.

I can see why that would be frustrating for you as a customer. Looks like it's been a while since you've been in one of the "Party Chat" shows (which they are now calling "Gold Shows").

My friend works on Streamate and she let me watch a show one day so I could see what she's dealing with. The content of the chat, from the customers (usually there are 20-100 guys in the show) is a never-ending stream of "ooooh bb, like that ass," "fuck your ass," "Lick your nipples," "turn around for me bb," do this, do that, do this, do that, ass ass ass ass tits tits tits. And I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the model to even read the comments that are worth paying attention to.

The other problem is that the customers have gotten progressively more aggressive, demanding, and critical. They expect to be treated like they're the only one in the show, with dozens of other guys in there, even tho they're only paying 5 cents to 1 dollar per minute. The expectations are a bit unrealistic.

There is a show topic. This is so the customers can read what the show is about, but while watching my friend's countdown, almost every question (other than "can i see your tits?" (for free) or "show me your pussy?" against rules) is a question that was answered in the show topic. If customers don't read the topic WHILE in the multi-minute countdown, it's VERY unlikely they'll read it when they jump into the show late. For example, she doesn't do anal, yet she has people constantly asking her to do it. And though she CLEARLY and REPEATEDLY states during her countdown that she will not do it, she still has guys bashing her at the end of show for not doing it. "ZERO STARS FOR NO ANAL" etc

THAT is why customers cannot rate models for gold shows. Customers give models bad ratings for the same reasons in regular shows, but when you have a bunch of people competing for the attention of one model who's busy trying to put on a good show, & can barely read the screen let alone sort through the "junk" requests, it would be a complete mess and NOT ONE SINGLE MODEL on the site would have a 5 star rating anymore.

However, I can also see how it would be maddening from a customer's standpoint. My friend said that she feels bad for the honest, nice guys who are willing to pay good money for their shows. Yet a lot of the good models are using this new feature all the time. So instead of getting one-on-one attention, you mostly have to sit in a chat room with a bunch of beggars and rude people. It's really unfortunate for you nice guys who just want to enjoy your show and who treat the models with respect. It would be nice to be able to mute certain guys, so the model can deal with only the guys who are being respectful.

To clear up a couple things:

1. The model CAN see the show countdown. She knows how much time she has left.

2. If the model chooses not to accept the show, or if she stops it for any reason or her internet disconnects, the customers are NOT charged.

I used the term clone site in the sense those sites are mere re-brandings of Streamate.com. If you check It's Live, iCamz Live, Cam Crush or Live Freaks pages here you'll notice there's a big "site clone notice" at the top. Those are just 4 of the 50+.

There are probably better ways to track referrals than to use a different domain. As a user, I was confused at first with models talking on the net about cammodels and Streamate.com indistinctly.

Streamate has over 50 clone sites as you call them. Its called marketing. Also the whole Cam Models link is the models affiliate link. So when customers join through their link they get bonuses when they refer customers who sign up through their cam models link. They don't get those bonuses with the reg streamate links.

Party Chat

Streamate.com recently launched a new show type called �Party Chat�. It�s a new way to do group shows for a very low price (around 1 USD per minute) while the regular group chats aka private usually cost much more, up to 4-5 USD for popular models and porn stars testing the new feature.

Models who are in this mode have a yellow �Party Chat� next to their pictures in listings instead of the usual green �Online� status. If they are trying to set one up, you see two counters superimposed on the feed in their free chat room: a raised �gold� counter towards a goal and a time countdown to reach that goal. Users willing to attend Party Chat are asked to reserve a spot in it by sending a certain amount of gold, 10-15 gold in the ones I�ve seen (10-15 USD). If enough members send gold and goal is reached before time ends, show starts automatically; allegedly, if a show doesn�t start because the gold goal is not reached in time, you don�t get charged. I believe once the show starts, you may still enter it but at the initial price and getting only what�s remaining of it.

I attended just one. It was impossible to have your requests heard during the show. The usual button to hide other members� words and show yours only to the model does not work: you see everything people type. But the model in my chat did not acknowledge anything the 40+ guys in the room were saying. Given the recurring appearance of recordings passing as live free chats, I couldn�t help but think that I was watching a recorded show.

Another bummer was that, as usual at this site, there�s no counter of elapsed or remaining time during a show. Needless to say, time was up when model was at the height of her performance: cam feed and audio were abruptly replaced by an unannounced, mood-killer black screen. Guess model didn�t have any clue about time either.

There�s no option to rate party chat shows at the end which, given the circumstances, makes sense as it would likely make most models� ratings plummet.

Same thing happened to me once. Entered the free chat, said "hello, how are you", she said "horny" or something like that, I said "good", she said "fuck you" and permanently kicked me off. I don't remember the name of the girl, otherwise I would post it here for "publicity".

All in all, girls are quite nice. I specially love chatting with SexyAngel1 or Lolli, they always have a smile on their face even if you tell them you are not taking them private that they for whatever reason. Others are more "straight to business" and will (temporarily) kick you out thee free chat if you don't seem ready to pay.

Thanks for the tip. It's not as slow as actually entering the room and you get the benefit of not being banned by a trigger-happy model but I find it has a extremely slow response time compared to other cam sites' similar functionality.

It's also worth stressing that this feature only seems to be available at Streamate.com and not at its various clones. Since most models actively promote their cammodels subdomain, this feature is likely lost by many users.

You probably know this already, but I'll say it anyway.

If you are logged in, when you make a search or choose a set of characteristics on the column to the left, and you get the results (the images of the girls with the yellow "online" label), if you pass the mouse over the image, a small video-screen will open which will let you see if the girl is really online; if she is doing a private session (and you are offered to join); if she is doing an exclusive session (in which case you may not join) or if she is taking a short break.

Also, this option has another advantage: that you can peek at the girls to see how good-looking they are and how they interact with other users, without entering the chat (and allowing her to kick you out if you don't go into private, for example).

Taxonomy of a Host's Online Status

When a host is online at Streamate, an �online� text appears in her picture in listings but you have to go to the host�s page in order to know whether she�s in free chat, private or exclusive.

Each of these 3 statuses has further subdivisions, the trickiest one being the private status. When a host is in private, you don�t get a cam feed but a black screen informing that you have to pay to see the host. Not all private statuses are born equal and there may be various outcomes after you enter the room:
- Someone took her private while she was in free chat. Anyone may join but host may pay more attention to the first user that took her private.
- In private but no one is watching. The host may be doing a show hoping people will join. She may have just ended an exclusive chat and is still nude. Maybe she just doesn�t want to appear in free chat.
- Doing a chat with members of her site. Streamate offers hosts a widget to place at their sites for hosting member chats. If you are a member of a model/pornstar's site who is a host here, you get the whole show as part of your membership at no additional fee as long as you enter the show via the widget but, if you enter that same show at Streamate, you are charged a per minute rate. I feel this is the trickiest situation.
- Filming a scene for a site: you are allowed to watch a porn shooting but no one reads what you type. Barrett Blade�s Massage Parlor sites or Mean Bitches are two that come to mind. Also, some porn stars use this when shooting for their own sites.
- In �voyeur� mode, so host won�t interact. Hard to mistake because there are few and usually have the �Voyeur� word in their name or are described accordingly in the cam�s page.
- Doing a show for a flat fee. This is very rare and I�ve only seen it in a cam called �Pornstar Cam House�. You are only informed that that private is at a flat fee when you click on the button that usually displays the private and exclusive rates. Otherwise, you think it�s the usual per-minute rate show.

The good thing is that you are not charged for leaving a private chat immediately after joining. If things don�t look good in the first 5-10 seconds, hit the Exit button.

Free chat also has some substatuses:
- Free chat and expecting members to take her private / exclusive. You see her live on cam for free as long as she stays in free mode. There�s no nudity allowed but she may flash her tits if someone sends her gold (credits).
- Free chat and not willing to enter private. You may even get blocked if you try to because she just wants to talk with viewers.
- Free chat and away from cam. She may or may not leave a Be Right Back sign but it�s a bit silly to take her private if she�s not there.

There�s no mistaking in exclusive: you get a short page saying another member has abducted her and you�d better go look somewhere else. In that case, other sites automatically send you back to free chat as soon as the host leaves exclusive. I believe it�s not the case here.

some good news

the quality of the straming life videos is rising. also the possibility of getting a larger screen is good (even if that lowers a little bit the quality). gladly you have nowerdays to pay after arround 30 sec. so you can get to know if the girl is so cute as it looked like.

sadly there is still no life preview pic at the main site to see. would be innovative if you can switch between life preview and preparated pics (few other sites do so).

co-sign with the last user, it's best to troll the site while NOT logged in to view things like girls cam speed and quality. If you go into the room while logged the girl can see you and usually starts trying to chat with you. if you don't respond quick enough she'll kick you from the feed.

Plus, the cost is HIGH so don't screw around, let her know before hand what you wanna see. And keep the chatter to commands only and trust they DO charge by seconds too

Today I had some free time and signed in my Streamate account to see who's online. I visited a model's free chat room (model's name is '' Xxdarkpanter4u '') said '' hello, how are you? '' and got banned, LOL, well some Streamate models seem to have a brain damage or something, at my opinion, or at least they kick or ban people from chat rooms without any reason and no one checks their actions to members . Probably some of them think that their members are too ugly or something ... what can I say I can not explain it though I will surely cancel my account, LOL.
Just some advises for the site for the ones who doesn't know it.

I found that a bit harsh mate, about warning us never to go live. I've had many great experiences live, with girls that get straight down to it.
You're right - there are girls that will try and rip you off and go really slowly. But there are plenty that don't (I have plenty saved to my favourites) and they're the ones that get my money.
Not that I bother much, as like you say, there's a great pre-recorded video package.

This site offers a great pre recorded video package - but dont ever pay a model one on one, If you do she will " Minute Mootch" take 10 mins to even take oof a shoe etc.. - exaggerated but u get the idea.
Point is if you do go pvt then contact customer service for any reason - your account is automatically terminated - ater a few days they will reopen it and say - that you requested it to be closed???? then will do same thing again in few days
If you join do not under any circumstanced go pvt but if u do and are disatisfied - you better take it on the chin or u will be shut out
