be aware!

If you sign up to this site you will get ripped off if you are not aware of the hidden flags to trials with other sites.

They try to fool you to sign up to sites without your knowledge! Look closely at the sign up page for flags to sign up to other sites!

I hate the sites that do this!

A while back I did a trial thing with them....I couldn't find any movie that would download except the movies from the behind the scenes section. Only some of the movies would stream.
I thought perhaps it had to do with the trial. I see it wasn't.

There's no customer service either.

Is a shame, looked like good content.

In this case a 50 is probably deserved. if you can't even get the content a site is worthless. A refund is truly in order. You could contact the billing company to complain and get a refund, that actually does work occasionally. That might get their attention. I know how I am personally and probably wouldn't pursue it much and just cut my losses. But I hope you get your money back.

I can't figure out why a company like diabolic would let their official website get this way. You're right, web porn is the future. It could be the end of sorts for them. Maybe they would rather just be a company that films material and licenses it out to other websites so they don't have to worry about the costs of running a download site. That would make sense. I hope they were just in the process of overhauling things.

This should serve as a good warning for other PU's.

WARNING ABOUT DIABOLIC!

I rejoined yesterday specifically to download some scenes from some older titles. Over 40% of the scenes posted prior to April 2006 appear to have dead links. I bought the membership based on the fact that the movies and scenes were there but had no way to know that the links are dead. There is some evidence that the site is in the middle of an overhaul and that may explain the broken links. I'll report back here when I know anything more, but as of today my recommendation is to avoid Diabolic until further notice.

diabolic just stole my dollar!!! no longer a full trial and you get nothing for joining for three days. no video samples no picture, nothing att all!!! its a very sad attemp to steal my dollar!!! they just should of kept the 1 day full trial at 4.95

After using the site some more I have found that the search doesnt work all that well. Like I will search for a girl and movies which they are tagged dont even show. Then add in the fact that they sometimes misspell names, or forget the, and it makes for a poor searching experience.

The only positive you can take out of the site that its only Diabolic movies, and Diabolic's library is not that big, so you will be hard pressed not to locate all the movies you want. What I suggest is doing research before you sign up because the tour page is the exact same as the members page, and it allows you to see every movie they have. So just write up a list of all the movies you want before you join and then download them right after you join, there is no download quota from what I can see. Again, there are only 350 some movies, and they have already maxed out most of their series...e.g. there are only 28 volumes of "2 on 1" and all 28 are on there (the last one was produced in 2007). If you need help just goto IAFD, they do a good job of getting the cast lists right.

Outstanding review, once again, TrashMan.

I surfed the preview site. The search feature by model is not too terrific, nor is the model index itself.

For example, one of my favorites, Gianna Michaels, appears in "Heavy Duty" but the model listing does not include Gianna Michaels; just Gianna and Gianna Lynn, neither of which show the "Heavy Duty" DVD.

That said, the site looks great for grabbing videos that are not otherwise available on the web and at $35, while high, isn't bad for a load of new stuff.

Based on your review, I'm planning to go for the 3-day trial to give the site a test drive. If it delivers the quality for the recent stuff I'll pop $34.95 for a full month and grab what I can.

BTW, if I find a better way to use the search to find specific babes, I will report back.

Good Value Trial

The trial is now $1.00 for one day and it is a FULL trial: Videos are downloadable, there is no DRM.

Download speed OK, Content OK.

A good value trial.

I was offered half price monthly membership when cancelling:

� EUR 17.95 for 30 Day Access instead of the normal � EUR 35.32. (I live in euroland)

I got pretty uneven download speeds: anything from 400kb/s to 25kb/s, average around 200.

There is no DRM.

There is no regional pricing, I payed 0.84 euros.

A good value trial.

Trial Works Again

Just joined and the trial appears to be allowing downloads again. I'm literally downloading something as I type this, so perhaps that will change when it's done. But so far, so good.

Also, trial membership through Diabolic Web is only $2.49 for three days and gives access to the current Diabolic.com site.

It would be indeed "cross-sale" and "special offer" if checkbox is NOT pre-checked (like reputable sites and processors like CCBill do). If it is pre-checked, I name it swindling; sure, you can invent your own names. BTW, I'm pretty sure that my issuing bank will side with me in disputing this charge if I will ever fail to notice such small print (on payment page I was selecting some specific price, and was charged a different one, with amount actually being charged being NEVER shown to me; that should be enough for bank, VISA or court to revert this charge and put fines as well as punitive damages to processor and/or merchant). This is called a cross sale, and it's a special offer on the signup page, if you don't want it just uncheck the box, it very clear and not misleading at any point. The word "Swindling" in over the top for sure, as this practice is used on most all big websites to offer other sites at the point of sale.

As this kind of things upsets me greatly, I've decided not to proceed at this point.

I will definitely update my review on the site shortly. I wanted a chance to thoroughly go through the site one more time and take the time to edit my review responsibly. I went ahead and added the comment about video improvements quickly to acknowledge that Diabolic has indeed made some changes and listened to it's customers. They obviously want to improve their site and I certainly applaude them for that.
I by no means want to saddle someone with a bad review if they no longer deserve it in my opinion. My only goal on this forum is to be fair and share my experiences honestly.

Drphil - one of the advantages of this site is the honesty and difference of opinion available before we spend on sites. I think Diabolic is a great value even though the price is higher than other sites. I balance that actual cost against what the site offers, and in my opinion Diabolic is one of the best studios out there and for them to offer a substantial part of their catalogue for this price with no DRMs makes this a great value.

You've noted in a comment that as of late December the file sizes have greatly increased. Please consider editing your actual review to reflect these changes. The fact that the webmaster has responded to us actual customers, and actually improved the site based on our complaints, speaks volumes for the effectiveness of Pornusers.com and while we should be critical where it is needed we should also reward and reflect good customer service.

Thanks for adding your opinion to the mix.

Video quality improved

After I received a reply from the webmaster stating the video sizes have been improved to 1500k I checked it out. There is a dramatic improvement in video quality since I reviewed the site 2 days ago.

Ok, so today Dec 20 I went back to confirm what DiacolicChris had posted about video size. I downloaded one of the newest scenes that have been made available and discovered that since my posting of this review on Dec 18 the video quality has substantially improved. I have not downloaded any other scenes but this one so I can't say every scene has been improved. However, the difference in quality from what I had been downloading prior to my review and the scene I downloaded today was like night and day.

Thanks for the detailed info. I would like to address a few points.

The Cast:
We came into this project (taking Diabolic online) way late in the game and to be honest there is not one person who knows every cast members, the scene breakdowns info was incomplete as many if not all the older Diabolic directors have moved on and no longer work there.

Diabolic would shoot new fresh talent once, that in some cases the girl would not even shoot ever again or changed her name.

Regardless, were constantly updated the info and it's a big task when you�re dealing with thousands of performers.

Download Sizes:
We ARE going to bump these up to 1500k (640x480) in the very near future, we just have to make adjustment to the servers to handle the double (if not triple) downloading.

The site is doing very well and the comments and suggestions were getting really help us give you guys the best product we can, so please keep them coming. Look for some new cool member features really soon too.

I wish I was that lucky! Porn shops in my area seem to have stopped carrying Diabolic stuff. Many other top studios too. It may be that the Canadian Border Services is being run by a bunch of Baptist women who deem Diabolic's stuff too offensive, but for now, the website is my only means of getting Diabolic.

I think it's all relative. I agree that many may think that this site is just a big expensive advertisement, but that would only happen if you had reasonable access to Diabolic DVDs. Diabolic is a great studio and this site gives access to a lot of their stuff. I think it's a decent value.

It's great to have these debates though since different perspectives always help.

As of December 22 (and maybe a few days ago) the DL sizes are much larger. I've compared several scenes that I DLed earlier and the sizes are about doubled.

You're right about the DRM on the higher quality.
Check out ZTOD (Zero Tolerance On Demand). They have removed all their DRM and you also get Third Movies with your membership.
Not only is their DRM gone, but you get much higher quality videos. I dont consider anything under 2200kbps and a 640X480 frame size to be high quality.
Next, you can check out Club Red Light. You get most Red Light District movies available for download. They use a one-time only DRM, which doesnt mean you can't watch the movies after your membership expires. They use this to prevent peer-to-peer sharing of their movies. There is some great content here and again, it is true high-res video.
Apart from those, I agree with other posters that movie studio sites are generally overpriced and under-delivering on quality.

IMO, as a porn customer, quality downloadable video encourages me to buy a company's DVD's. These things aren't mutually exclusive. On the other hand, a website that is obviously set up just to sell over the counter product is a real turn off. My 2 cents.

Nice catch, Thagnut. I have found this sort of "fine print" regarding DRM to be a symptom of movie studio sites.

Since you were looking at a gonzo studio, I would recommend that you check out Devil's Film, which includes subscriptions to Combat Zone, White Ghetto, and a couple more sites. They don't have any DRM.

I'm also going to try Third Movies soon. According to the webmaster, they are finished removing DRM from all of their movies.

I was going to join, because these are some great movies. But..look closely. The downloadable, non-DRM movies you can keep are just 400K.. so basically it's a streaming site that lets you keep little momentos of the scenes in low-resolution. What a shame.
