I don't think that there is really a site out there that deserves a perfect score especially goth girls in general. Very selective niche . Why the over 95 scores all over the place?

What I meant was a 'proper email address': ie. one linked to an isp as opposed to Hotmail or Yahoo.

It may just reduce spammers if you see what I mean, although I can appreciate some problems with certain isp's as you say.

Glad to hear that. PU has obviously become a force in the business and with that comes the bad element that will abuse the privilege.

I like the User Reviews, a lot, but when a "glowing" review is written that is contrary to the comments made by the TBP professional reviewers, and when user comments show up describing specific bad experiences not mentioned in the review, I ignore the review as being written by a shill.

I agree - the 100% ratings, even something in the high 90's, raises my suspicions. But... umm... what's with the "proper" ISP's? As it happens, I only have one choice for broadband where I live (which is a bit of a sad story I won't get into here) and I refuse to use their email client because it's not as user-friendly as Yahoo. Should that choice really make me ineligible to rate porn sites in a fine forum such as this?

My proposal is to not count review score when user trust rating is 0 or lower. Otherwise 5 users can make a good advertisment like Gods Girls being on top for couple of months while it shouldn't be!!

BTW: PU needs some sort of forum were we can discuss between us something not related to a specific site.

I can't say that any of these reviews seem very trustworthy to me. When I stumbled on the Trixie Teen connection, I checked it out a bit and it seemed to be more of a forum than a photo/vid site.

I'd be interested in someone doing a review with stats as to numbers of photo sets/pics/vids, some indication of photo resolution or vid sizes.

There was a thread on in their members area suggesting to their members to add reviews. They agreed to remove the thread after they recieved a flood of one-sided reviews, and we also denied a number of them.

There are future plans to combat situations like this which should be announced in about a month. For now, we're leaving them since we believe they were completed by actual members. We definitely recommend to take advantage of our Trust Rating feature to rate whether they feel the user is biased or not. In the future, this rating and the user's experience points will have more signifigance.

I think admins should erase reviews that are obviously untrustworthy, as all of the reviews for this site were done not too far apart by new members with no other reviews and they all say the exact same thing paraphrased. When this happens, you should start the site over with a clean slate rather than skew the ratings and the morals of the P2P rating system.

May be wrong, but peeps that come straight in with scores of 100% need to be viewed with caution......you know what I mean, I'm sure.

A fine example why only emails from proper isp's should be allowed for reviewers....no hotmail or yahoo etc.

initially when we found out that we had received a link from thebestporn.com our instinct was to be polite and link back to them. we hadn't thoroughly looked over the FAQ and some of our site members came and made reviews. i am sorry that you feel that the reviews are one-sided and i apologize for any confusion that the reviewers may cause but they are still reviews from people who have thoroughly used our site and the link from our site to tbp was promptly removed when we realized what was happening. we apologize on behalf of our error and our overzealous members. we do hope that anyone who uses our site finds the same enthusiasm that our other members have found haha.

If it helps to know, we've kicked this one around quite a bit ourselves. On the one hand, we suggest (in our terms and FAQ) against one-sided reviews. But on the other hand, we must be mindful that if *we* criticize those we see as one sided, it may unduly discourage users from sharing their opinions and we certainly don't want to do that.

We touched on this issue in a recent User Poll (9-Feb-07) and found the users who responded were pretty much split in their opinion as well.

Because of the nature of the PornUsers site, with the exception of outright spam, we're trying to take a hands-off approach to users Reviews and Comments. We want to avoid being seen as censoring the comments or replies. While we'd hope all users would offer fair, well balanced, and unbiased remarks, we also understand that this is not always the case. I think you'll find that sites which work to build a strong sense of community have especially loyal members. That in itself is considered a major plus by many.

Over the long run, we feel certain that as the number of reviews grow, one-sided reviews (good or bad) will be balanced out. We're also relying on our users' good judgement to determine which comments have merit and which are less than helpful. Towards that end, we're working on a new feature that'll allow users to rate the perceived quality of reviews. But I can't say more about that just yet.

Ultimately users just need to be mindful that *everything* they read here is simply someone's opinion. Some you may agree with, some you may not. In the end, you will form your own opinions about the sites you join. And of course when you do, we hope you'll share them here for the benefit of your fellow users.

If the person really loves the site and can't think of any way it could improve I suppose we have to accept that as an honest opinion. I would argue that it hurts the site more than it helps because people won't take a review of 100 seriously. Perhaps I can join the site at some point to offer my fair evaluation and I encourage others to do so as the average of scores will eventually even things out. Hopefully after more reviews are done the average will balance everyone's views of the site, but for now I guess we'll have to accept that members who really like the site will use their platform here to express that opinion...that is the American way. :)

I don't know dudes - I love freaky white chicks as much as the next guy but I have seen too much bs and underhanded things in this business - like self promotion and self posts to write a book. The posts for review just seem too similar and the cons and pros are almost the same. The cons are hardly real cons if you can pick that out - they resemble more positive things like "wow this site so so great that you will spend eternity here"! Come on! - am from New York City and I wasn't born yesterday and I have had many try to sell me the Brooklyn Bridge. The site might be incredible but I need to know more info and see some different type reviews. The preview is good but what about the sex? The price seems low and that can be a sign that they don't offer too much in way of hard stuff - but I can be wrong.

1. How is the video quality?
2. Are the vids worth it?
3. Is there hard core sex or just a bunch of alterna gals mugging for the camera.

These are questions an educated consumer wants to know!

Goth & Tattoo: Does It Float Your Boat?

From the small picture on the review page and the three reviews themselves, I had the sense that this was a mainstream erotic modeling website with a focus on photography. When I actually visited the site I found that it was very much centered on goth and tattoo culture. I'm not trying to knock that kind of site since I actually like them in general, but I think the reviews could have been improved by indicating the kind of site somehwere in the review. There are people that would very much dislike this content and could have been misled by the reviews. That aside, if this kind of thing does "float your boat" then this site is for you and appears to have great potential as stated in the reviews.
