No DL limit for me, but the cancel hijinks are back

This probably isn't any different than the comment posted a few days ago about cancellation problems with Brazzers. Reality Kings likes to make canceling a pain too. I can at least say that I didn't hit a download limit and topped 10 GB per day each day of my membership. And I did sign-up through the promo discounted email if that possibly could make a difference. That's the sort of good news. Then there's the bad news. I'm going to post this just in case anyone joins and isn't familiar with the trick cancellation process. It may be unfair to call it a trick, but it's just as bad as cross-sales, which by the way, like another PU posted, I have joined RK many times, never missed the cross-sale until this time and it got me. Kind of strange they got both of us, but hadn't before. So watch out for that one since it seems to be working for them.

Okay, when you go to cancel, you enter two of the possible four things they ask for. It will locate your account and give you this message.

Are you sure you don't want to stay?
You answer "No thanks"

Another screen opens with a special offer price and asks if you want the special offer.
You answer "No thanks"

Third screen opens to confirm one more time. The options are.
Yes and
No, I've changed my mind.

Come on RK, that's just wrong. After clicking two no answers in a row then wording the third one so the person would click no again? Which would stop the cancellation? None of this would be so bad if they didn't use very poor grammar on the first question to make it where you click "no thanks" to get you in the motion of clicking no.

Luckily, I had been through this process with Brazzers before and I bitched about that one too. So maybe RK will drop this stupid cancellation process like Brazzers did. It's bad enough the missed cross-sale canceled out the $5 I was saving by joining through the promo email and even worse that a more than dozen time member has to watch every word to cancel. It will probably be another year now before I join again. How's that for marketing strategy?

And hopefully others will read about the cancellation process and be aware of it.

A general thanks to those who alerted me to the download limits in this site. I had been a member before, was about to become a member again but there's no way I would live with a limit like that.

As I wrote in my review some time ago, some of the bigger HD files (and that's all I download) can run between 2 - 4 Gigs a movie. Wouldn't take long to hit the daily limit. More and more sites, in their effort to prevent ?pirating?, are taking all kinds of counter productive measures to prevent this, scaring off potential legitimate subscribers. 10Gigs daily limit? No way!

I used to like you. RK, but no more!

The daily limit is alive and well

I can't claim I didn't know it wasn't there, but it is still frustrating to bump up against it. In under an hour of downloading I got a message that I had exceeded the daily limit. The odd thing about that is that they calculate that limit on what you're trying to download, not on what you have downloaded. My total downloads were 9.18GB which isn't in excess of the 10GB limit so they shut you down early.

They next test will be to see if they give me a full 10GB tomorrow at this time or if they unlock the limit over a period of time. I'll report that here.

I've also sent the site a message asking for clarification on several vague terms in the contract re daily limits. I'll let you know if I get answers to those questions.

Finally, I can also report that the daily limit blocks accessing any site on the network. I thought that it may have been possible that they blocked just a site where you came close to 10GB.

I'm a member of RK.
In the past days I downloaded different files from different sites of the RK network.
I heard that there was a 10gb limit per site and I have always tried to respect this: I had no problem.
In one day I downloaded more than 10 gb (20-30 gb) from different sites and I've got no problem.
Today I downloaded few files (not in HD that are large files) and I ve been blocked !
WHY ?
I don't know why !
I think it NOT CORRECT they impose that limit (what limit ??) without write it clearly in subscription or in support page !
The limit, if it is exist, RK have to be written CLEARLY !!!
I'm angry.

Solid site, but not worth keeping a membership

Reality Kings is definitely one of those porn sites that you join one every couple months or one or twice a year. Nothing about the site is really bad, the content is pretty much all well shot, acted and produced and the newer videos look good. It is quite frustrating how they havent made some of the older videos available to be downloaded in a higher version. You can stream them at a higher quality, why not offer them downloadable at a higher quality to?

I guess it all depends on what you like, but outside of a few sites, I thought the website got a little boring. Monster Curves is probably their best site, but updates are not weekly and some of the sites seem to have inconsistent updates.

I think my interest in this site would be higher, but a number of the sites just bored me and while it's worth getting it for a month to get the past content, it's just not producing consistently high enough quality to hang around.

Pretend "Reality" Wearing Thin!

I initially liked the feel of reality to the scenes even though I was aware that the whole thing was staged but with the over-use of their male talent like Voodo or JMac (both of whom I actually like) etc. it is getting harder and harder to buy the new fantasies portrayed in the updates. Ok, I should do a disclaimer here first. I like deep throat and it's why I would subscribe to a site. How are the photos?

I guess there are many subscribers here to this network. Can you give me your opinions on photos as not many reviewers focus on them and to me they are a very important aspect.

How large are they? I understood they are zips with huge number of files per scene, that sounds good. Are they generally of quality and taken as a separate photo shoot or just some non flash shots of the actual scene being filmed?

However great their preview options are, they only give access to a 900x600 version of some pictures, that cannot be the best they have.

From good to bad!!

When I first joined things were looking very favourable with 28 sites to choose from and a broad selection of themes. However after a few days of downloading various movies things started to go downhill. First of all you notice a lot or most of the movies are not HD quality and then you're download speed starts to slow down and in my case come to a standstill. I contacted the customer services but got standard replies back every time saying nothing appeared wrong with my account and everything should be working fine. I enquired if the site operated a download limit but received no reply. In trying to resolve the problem i asked to have my login id and password changed but was sent a reply asking me to phone the USA as my account had been compromised, even though requests to change passwords are supposedly done via email requests and having informed them phoning between the UK and the USA wasn't a good idea for cost and time difference reasons. Eventually having tried to resolve this matter I had had enough with little or no constructive help from the customer services I cancelled my subscription. I would not recommend the site from my experience.

The latest updates on RK are being offered in full 1080p HD and can be downloaded. Picture is breathtaking but beware of huge file sizes. I am in the middle of downloading two, one is 4.2 GB, the other 3 GB. This will really force you to be discriminating in what you save and what you delete, either that or get a new 2 TB external drive!

I paid the trial membership but it doesn't let you download! rip off!

Not only does it automatically start billing you in 3 days, but you can't watch any of the videos after you pay the trial membership. It tells you that you need to pay the full month's membership price to actually watch the videos.

That's illegal and I let their customer service know about it. I highly recommend staying away from these guys. Scammers, big time. Maybe I'll give Brazzers a try.

Reality Kings in trouble?

One of Sunday's (Sept. 26) updates has been resting on my hard drive for months. Identical size and quality .. identical in all respects! Is it a desperation move or an attempt to deceive? Download limits are in place

I joined RK at the recent special price, and did some testing. Based on what I observe, there is a limit (60) on big movies but no limit on GB. Once I hit the limit of 60 full movies (any mix of sites, any movie size) within their network, I start getting the message that I've reached the limit.

I've been using DownThemAll to manage downloads, and it is working fine as long as I don't queue up more then 30-40 minutes of downloads at a time. The links do expire.

Even though exotics4me and I aren't always on the same wave length I decided to subscribe to this site on the strength of his review and the high score he gave it, and I'm glad that I did.

Also because of exotics, I won't do a review and just rate the site instead. He was really thorough and said it all.

Just let me add that my first impression is that this is indeed a great site. I've only come across one set of enhanceds so far! I'm sure there will be more but it's a good start.

He also mentions that the site's streaming HD content isn't quite up to par so far as quality is concerned, and he is right, but the very good news, for me, is the fact that the movies that CAN be downloaded in H264 (mp4) format are crystal clear in full picture on my monitor and I don't miss the HD version one bit because they come so close to that format. At least the format found on Reality Kings.

Adding to my delight is the fact that every single movie I have watched so far has a protracted introduction of some sort leading up to the action.

Some will hate this, no doubt, because they are eager to get to the action, but to me it is a huge plus because it does add that tease factor I am always looking for. This helps me enjoy every single niche and the scenes are done so realistically it's a true joy to watch them.

Picture lovers needn't bother, though. The sets are huge but the individual pictures are small sized (compared to pure picture sites.)

But then I have my special sites for pictures so I don't miss them on this one.

Son of a Bitch! It takes so long and I have to jump a bunch of hoops just to get a phone number.

I recently received an email telling me I've gotten a membership. A membership I DIDN'T PURCHASE. So I tried contacting them and got an email forum. Much later, I received an email telling me that I've sent them a customer inquiry. And now, I got another email for a phone number to call. And I it's not even 24 hours. I have to call after and before a certain time which means I have to call tomorrow to ask if I got an unwanted membership. If it's free, tell me. One thing I hate about porn websites are photoshopped photos, which is what I was upset to see RK does. Obviously photoshopped photos take away from all realism. And then just look so fake -- almost airbrushed (as in an airbrush painting).

I went to the site today and saw that they have started putting small "HD" logos on their movie screenshots on the updates pages, starting Sept. 1st 2009. Is it just for streamable content? Or do subscribers now have the option to actually download HD movies? If so, does anyone just sign up and get instantly access to downloadable HD movies, or is there a restriction like Brazzers' 6 months of uninterrupted membership?

When I went to cancel my membership, to Reality Kings, at sbwsupport.com, I was offered a 6 month membership for $39.95. It sounds like a great deal! Does anyone know if it is legit? And is it a membership at Reality Kings, or some other site?

Still no HD content

It has been a month since Realitykings started to advertise HD content in bold letters at the top of their webpage."Realitykings is now shot in full digital HD. Welcome to the next level. 28 amazing HD sites"
There's not a single HD video on any of their sites. Their updates have resolutions between 720 x 408 and 768 x 480 pixels. This includes the available streaming formats.

I asked a customer support agent if HD will only available for future updates and he replied with "Yes sir". When I asked him when the first updates will be available he said "We believe the streaming is in HD" and closed the chat session. It's a shame that they resort to such dishonest practices since I really like their site otherwise.
I would still recommend this site to others, just keep in mind that there is no HD content available or visibly scheduled whatsoever.

Download limit experiment results

I was talking with mbaya about the DL Limit on Reality Kings. It used to be 1.0 GB per day from each site. They changed it to 10 GB per day across the network. The problem I was running to is in the wording of the limit, "As a member in good standing, you may download up to 10 gigabytes of data each day, and additionally up to 15 big movies."

My understanding of this limit is that you can download 10 GB per day. Once you reach 10 GB, it lets you download 15 parts of other scenes. Each of their movies that have full scene download, also have the option of downloading the scene in 3 parts, listed as "Big Clip 1", "Big Clip 2" and "Big Clip 3". Mbaya had a different experience though, only being allowed to download 15 full scenes before reaching the limit, less than 3 GB.

I believe Mbaya more than I do the Reality Kings. The problem I was running into was that I hadn't downloaded enough in a day to test it. On Saturday, I was able to try it out though.

Much to my shock and hopefully a good sign, here is what I downloaded in a 7 hour period. All of the full scene videos from the RK site CFNM Secret, and 4 of the accompanying photo sets.

The total GB for the folder is 11.3 GB, the total number of full scenes is 31.

Meaning the DL Limit didn't show up at all, not at 10 GB, not at 15 full scenes. And I still had full access to download another 3.5 GB from Round and Brown, and still didn't stop me.

Here is the important part though, I was using their new Beta site. This is two networks in a row, Reality Kings and Bang Bros, that I've used their Beta site and found no DL limits whatsoever. I'm also downloading at unheard of speeds. I always considered my max download speed to be 1,250 kb/s for my connection. It occasionally goes over that but not very consistently. On RK and Bang Bros, I am downloading at 1,400 kb/s consistently.

This could be even better news since it looks like they may be removing the limit. Don't hold me to that though. I did however go over their limits without any 24 hour removal of access to download. So, be sure if you join, to go ahead and convert to the Beta site. Looks similar, more modern looking design and doesn't seem to limit your DLs either. Doesn't cost any extra to use the Beta, it just asks if you would rather use the Beta site.

10gb limit, really a limit?

For a long while I didn't want to join RK because of their limit on downloads. I prefer to download videos and watch them later or put them on my ipod. However, after being a member at videobox for a while I realized that having a decent stream player makes it almost unnecessary to download any videos. I only download my favorite videos and watch the rest on-line saving time and long download lists. So is 10gb really a limit? I mean I could download over 700 movies in a month which I doubt I would even if I had unlimited download. I only keep the best from each site which is maybe 10-30 movies....hmmI might join RK afterall...

It will be interesting to see how they handle the downloading of HD vids - if they don't do the "wait 6 months" bull-shit that Brazzers is doing, it's going to be interesting to see whether Brazzers changes their current bull-shit bait-and-switch policy.

If Reality Kings is smart, they could beat Brazzers over the head with their "wait 6 months" BS policy and put right on their Home Page - "Download all vids as soon as you become a member" - of course, Brazzers isn't honest enough to even put their policy anywhere on their site until you give them money, people will have to have been clued in by seeing that info here or on other forums.

Beta unlocks some Muffia sites (streaming only)

Reality Kings has a beta site of its members area. There's a Muffia section that lets you see all Muffia scenes but videos only (no photos) and in flash streaming only. The more months you stay as a member of Reality Kings, the more Muffia sites that are unlocked. As I said in my Muffia review, their streaming is pretty good so I thought it's an idea worth mentioning here.

You start with It's Real.
First month: Cum Fu and King Dong.
Second month: Molly's Life and Manuel Uncut.
Third month: Naked Movie and Footville.
Fourth month: Kristin's Life and My Sexy Life.
Fifth month: Pornstars Lick.

The good news of the rest of the beta is that Reality Kings is finally getting rid of the WMV streaming they're still using and are adopting the much better Flash one used at Muffia.

Full Access Trial Doubtful

Seen the other comment on the Full Access Trial? Read below:

Taken right from RealityKing's TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

"Trial memberships have limited access to the movies sections. "

"3 day trial membership renews at the monthly rate if the subscriber has not cancelled 24 hours prior to the expiration date."

Although it is possible for a Cross-Sale to give full-access; I couldn't find any cross-sale promotions for a trial, not at Muffia.com sign-up page. Even if you could, you'll have download limits on your account (full subscription or trial doesn't matter):

"As a member in good standing, you may download up to 10 gigabytes of data each day, and additionally up to 15 big movies. Upon reaching this limit, you may be denied access to download any additional data until the beginning of the next day. "

The Best Porn's descriptions/prices are a little out of date, but doubled checked with Rabbit Reviews and they have the correct trial price and list the trial as LIMITED with a Daily download limit of 6GB (full subscription & trial). The download limit sounds about right according to other reviewers' complaints, and I'm betting RabbitReviews are right about the LIMITED trial that correlates with the Terms and Conditions.

Bottomline: RealityKings still offers only a LIMITED trial unless you want to take the chance on a cross-sale, which in the case of Muffia.com doesn't exist.

Trial membership is now FULL

I just became a 3 day $2.99 trial member through a Muffia.com cross-sell. I can confirm that it's now possible to download the full WVM videos! TBP also confirms that the normal, 2 day $2.99 non cross sell membership give you full access.

I also recorded the the highest download speed I have ever seen: 1.1MB/s, a 400MB video took 5 mins to download. I'm in Europe, I have never seen such high speeds before?

I noticed that they have changed billingprovider; it's more difficult to cancel compared to before. I am not sure if this is because I joined through a cross-sell.

When cancelling they offered me a monthly membership for $10. Good deal, but I declined.

Cams question

I see Molly (Molly's Life, We Live Together), Nikki (We Live Together), Bree (Milf Next Door) and Kristen Cameron (Kristin's Life, Milf Next Door) have a schedule of cam shows at Reality Kings.

Reading the reviews, I see their cam shows mentioned a couple times as an interesting add-on so I was wondering if anyone has ever attended them and what type of show they put, what kind of interaction they have with the viewers, image/sound quality and so on.

Reality Kings gives access to Naked.com shows but I'm only interested about Reality Kings-only shows. I see at least Molly and Kristen Cameron listed as models on Naked.com so I'm also curious whether their scheduled shows take place, in fact, on Naked.com.

Schedules are impossible for a European PU (around 4 AM on weekdays) but I'm curious anyway.

I noticed when I became a member, I began getting a lot of sex Spam. MORE THAT THE USUAL. So my question is has any current or other wise members have noticed it on their email box? I first thought it was Brazzers, but I've been a member from them twice and I never gotten this amount of Spam or if any.

(Update) I have been using email for more than a decade, so please avoid telling me what everyone knows. Again, I am mentioning the strange INCREASE of these type of emails.

Gotta love download quotas...

I think it is rather stupid to have download quotas. So the download quota prevents me from downloading the joined file, but doesn't prevent me from downloading the separated parts or from streaming the parts and saving them?

Both this site and DDGirls need to get a clue and return to the 21st century...get better hosts so you are not getting hosed for bandwidth thus forcing users to abide by stupid download quotas.

Has anyone been experiencing problems getting onto the website?? More often than not Ive tried to check it out in the last few months and I keep getting the "Unable to load page" response due to website maintenance. Last time I successfully got on was about 2 months ago.

Trial Members have full access to the site and bonus sites. However, to download big movies to your computer please upgrade to a full membership. When your trial automatically turns into a full membership (after 3 days trial) you will be able to download big movies.

Reality Kings has a new video option for you IPOD lovers. They now are offering the Big videos in mp4 format.

This is only on videos that are less than about 2 weeks old. I have not noticed it on anything from before October yet.

I just joined Reality Kings and was a bit confused when I first signed on. It was like reading a menu with too many options! I didn't even know where to start. But the chicks are hot. Some of the videos take a bit too long to get going, though.

Several months ago when I was a member, they had an online survey to see if members would sign up for pictures only access at a big discount. I believe it was something really cheap like $2.95. Did they ever actually offer this option?
