Disenchanted

I agree with the positive comments others have made about the concept, models, artistic presentation and skilful editing and presentation of the content.

But, and it's a very big but: having been encouraged to subscribe by seeing Ifm videos on xHamster (where downloads are very simple, and quick, and allow you to jump about the clips immediately within seconds of downloading) I've found the site is absolutely spoiled by tediously slow download speeds, apparently un-openable and incomplete clips and the inability to hop about the clips with a mouse-click.

Although I have a modern laptop and I'm reasonably competent with it I acknowledge I may not have the skills to get the best out of the Ifm server, but if xHamster can provide a slick presentation with nearly every video for free, why can't Ifm do it for a substantial subscription???

And as others have said, the 'formula' looks and pose (NB singular!) become boringly repetitious very quickly.

A nice addition to something not so nice

Joined up again and I see that they now have a bandwidth counter/warning.

"BANDWIDTH WARNING
You have reached xx% of the daily download limit. Fair use of the site permits 6GB of data per day as stated in the Terms of Use. When this limit is reached, you'll be unable to watch or download videos until tomorrow."

After you reach the limit, you see this:

"DOWNLOAD LIMIT REACHED
You have used more than 6GB of data today and reached the daily limit. Your usage will be reset in x hours x minutes and you will be able to view or download more videos."

I'm not thrilled with the limit, but it's nice to have something to monitor the usage and tell you when you can resume viewing and downloading.

Just an update

With what I'll call the down slide of AbbyWinters, it seems I'm down to two staples - IFeelMyself and AllOver30.
Since it doesn't make too much sense to me to keep reviewing the same sites over and over, I guess I'll be sticking to comments when I see something noteworthy on those sites.

On May 7th of this year, IFM rolled out some really nice crystal clear mp4 files. Starting with the hi-res files, they've changed the page layout slightly so you no longer have to set your media preference for the file type you want. Each preview picture has all the download options available right below it - 1280 resolution mp4 (If available), 640 resolution mp4 and wmv, and lower res wmv and m4v files. I don't know the specifics for the lower res files as I've never downloaded them.

There is one curiosity with the new files though. I don't know if it's just because the hi-def is relatively new on the site, but some of the files they have tagged as HD have mp4 files that are no higher resolution than the 640 wmv files. And some of the videos still aren't available in HD mp4 yet. It remains to be seen if this is just their running out material they had already shot, or if the truly HD files are going to hit or miss from now on.

I have a love/hate relationship going here. The content's great. Some of the responses their reps have left on here leave something to be desired. Telling someone it's none of your business why they've done something they've done or that the download limit "only bothers people who are sucking the site dry" is just the kind of thing that reminds me that porn is a business, nothing more. So it seems these days - Buy my product, take what you get.

A question before I go back

Nope - I can't stay away from this one. But I always try to go back after the content has built up. Since there's a 3 gig download limit, I'm trying to calculate the best time to rejoin, so I'm curious if anyone currently with the site can tell me the average file size of the new HD files. I'm most interested in the wmv files.

IFM is going Hi Def

Taken directly from the IFM site:

"In November 2008 we began a $100,000 upgrade of our production facilities for conversion to Hi Def, Widescreen video. The first step was the purchase of Sony EX1 XDCAM cameras, which record in full Hi Def at 1920 x 1080 pixels (not HDV 1440 x 1080 as used by most of the industry). We began using the cameras immediately and so all material recorded since November 2008 is ready for encoding into various hi definition formats for release on IFM. We also have some footage recorded since 2007 in HDV which will transfer quite nicely to the new format.

Of course this means we'll soon be upgrading the video playback facilities on the site, making the high def versions of new videos available to those who have the connection speed. We'll still support dialup customers with small versions of the videos, and the current standard sizes will increase as well. Additional file formats will be offered.

For a while, not all videos will be available in hi def, as we run out all the SD footage still in the system. All the existing videos will be unchanged, and won't be deleted from our back catalogue. Subsequent re-releases will be in higher res, if not widescreen."

Interesting site

I stumbled across this site a couple days ago and the sample video looked amazing and very hot.

Has anyone been a recent member and know if they have put in more variation of the poses like some of the comments and reviews seem to indicate was an issue?

Yes....

They should try some different poses. Who wants to watch 99% of the girls in one pose (on their back). They have a few sitting, but the hottest of all was Cle standing up. How about more standing, sitting, etc poses?

It's cooling off

Yeah... it's gotten a bit repetitious, as one woman after another is seen in the same poses, from the same angles, as dozens of others. Still a few novelties poppping up from time to time, but it just doesn't seem as cutting edge as it did last year.

But the biggest reason for my disappointment in IFM is the site's seeming disregard for their customers. I'd put up a post on their forum about the disappearance of a couple of their videos and it was removed without explanation. I then got absolutely no response to the two emails I sent, asking about the missing videos AND the post being pulled. Seems to me even a plausible lie would've been in order on this one.

Are you watching this IFM? Here's a chance for a bit of redemption!
