BE CAREFUL JOINING THIS SITE!!!

First off, let me just say that the content this site offers has little to do with this. The content wasnt bad, but wasnt what I expected either. Some hot girls, but you can find better pictures of these girls elsewhere.

No...the issue is that this site is run by thieves. I joined a couple months ago and after about a month, I wanted to cancel...but you needed your username and password to do so. I lost my password so I wanted to retrieve it. They do not have an auto retrival to get a lost password so you have to email them.

I email them and ask for my password. No one responds and my membership renews. Not happy about it, but Im like...okay.

So...a few days later, my auto login info disappears and now I cant even login to the site. So, I email them again. No reply. Then...I try a different site which I guess is their billing department. I filled out and online troubleshoot and got nothing back from them. The also have a supposed "live help" service, but the problem is...NO ONE IS EVER ON IT". I checked it everyday for 2 weeks at various times of the day....never on.

After sending several more emails and not hearing shit back, I had to cancel my credit card to stop the billing (I know I couldve probably got the bank to block the charge or something, but I didnt feel like discussing my porn subscription with them).

Bottom line...if you do join this site, keep your username and password nearby, and pray you dont need anything from their customer service department, because it doesnt exist or its run by fuckin idiots and lazy douchebags.

I personally try not to join any site with poor customer service. I would recommnend not even giving them the time of day. The content isnt that great and its pretty evident that they want you to run through hoops just to cancel.

Save your time and money and join a better site, and get better pictures of all the girls they offer elsewhere online.

EDIT: And just to add...its Swankpass's customer service. They dont answer shit. Their other sites are a joke and a ripoff as well. Stay away!

Nonexclusive Content

Granted, the TBP folks look at a lot of porn sites and they don't collect porn like most of us do so they're not always on top of sites that make claims about exclusive content. However today's TBP review score of 81 is misplaced in my book. It is unfortunate when a review basically seems to read like something ripped from the site's marketing department: "All of the material on Velvet Mag is original. They shot it all and you won't find it anywhere other than the hard copies of their magazines." NOT! I joined this site (see my Swankpass review) last year and found it loaded with nonexclusive content. These magazine sites usually claim "exclusivity" on the fact that they may have had the original publication rights to these scenes but the stuff is so old and has been on so many web sites that it becomes meaningless. Looking at the very limited tour pages on this site today (bad sign) it looks like mostly old stuff to me, same as last year. At $20 a month, you'd get more enjoyment out of buying the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" collectors set DVD than this place.

My apologies for the inaccuracies in my review. I was going by some old and outdated info about the site. It appears that just about a third of the content on Swank Pass is actually exclusive so I've edited my score and review to reflect that info. Thanks for pointing it out to us!

We really appreciate you taking the time to review our member�s area, www.swankpass.com. You are correct about seeing the same content from DDF, but I wanted to inform you that DDF used to shoot content exclusively for us, however he could also use the material on his site. So as you can see he built a great website. However, DDF isn�t the only content producer that we worked with. If you notice we have content that dates back over 8 years and most of our content is either exclusive or semi-exclusive, particularly the photo sets. When you consider all of our niche sites, such as Girl Next Door, Tranny Kings, Plumpersandbw, LegAction, and Dcup you�ll see that we really don�t have that much content from DDF. In addition, you can�t find all of our content on Videobox too. Yes, you may see some content on Videobox don�t get me wrong. However, the difference between them and us is that we also have tons of hi-rez and classic photos that you will not be able to find on Videobox.

We understand, that they�re could be some confusion of what is consider �Exclusive� especially in today�s times. The days of where a company would have their full staff shoot content for the company is long dead. If you remember back in the days, Clive McLean would only shoot for Hustler and not resell his content to any other companies. In today�s time, what is happening is that content producers will hire a girl give her three different outfits, put her in 3 different sets and then shoot the content. They will then sell those three sets to different companies and will offer a particular set to be either exclusive or semi-exclusive. So most likely when you join other sites and you see the same model and the same �style� of the photographer/video the set which is probably exclusive or semi-exclusive, but it may appear to the consumer that the content isn�t exclusive. I hope this make sense, I just wanted to explain to you a little more about how today�s trends in the industry.

On a different, note although we haven�t published it on the site yet..any customer that has been a member for over 3 months we will give them a complimentary 3 month magazine subscription to any of our magazines or a free video. We just ask our member�s to contact us if they�re interested and we�ll handle all of the rest. J

Well, that's part of my "note to self" I wrote 4 years ago after having joined Gent Online, which was the avenue through which I got into this network.

Things CAN change, of course, so I should bear that in mind. What I can glean from your comments about the site is that it still hasn't changed that much for the better. And from the new review at the TBP, well, it's just another overrated site.

They'll never deserve the $25 bucks I shelled out in 2005. Why give them any more?

I agree with you and I hope it's just a glitch because this is the second review that receives an above 80 score which It doesn't deserve. I made a similar comment in December when Venessa awarded "it's your porn" 84.5 for what appears to be some old non-exclusive material.

TBP review score is way out of whack

I reviewed Swankpass last April, barely able to justify giving a 71. I just saw the TBP review that clocked in with a ginormous score of 84. After reading the review and going back to look at the site's preview pages it became pretty obvious why the TBP score is so jacked up. Maggie raved about all the exclusive content available there. That wasn't my experience when I was a member. Looking at the preview pages, I saw page after page of hardcore sets taken from DDF Productions web sites. Most of the softcore updates they had posted have been nesting in my hard drive for years as well although many of the scenes were not necessarily DDF clones. It does sound like the search issues may have been fixed up since I was last a member.

For $30 you can get a membership to Swankpass. For $35 you can get a membership to DDF Productions and see all the sets (Swank edited down their pic sets sometimes) and movies in larger and crisper format. If either amount is too rich for you, try Videobox since a lot of the vids from this site are on that one too.

[Note: After Maggie responded below -- always good to see that we occasionally have an impact around here -- TBP lowered it's score to 81. Still too high in my book.]

Waste of Time

This site is part of the Swankpass network. I sort of expected it to be the best of the bunch but was sorely mistaken. Here's what you get:

About 1000 photo sets. Sounds great, huh. WRONG! The vast majority of sets have fewer than 20 pics. Pic size is a low quality 1020x680 (there is zip). The newest material is all DDF / Karupspc / Vivthomas / etc. nonexlusive stuff. There's a lot of hardcore but as you can smell, it's all nonexclusive.

You get about 300 vids of average quality. About half the vids are only downloadable in clips. Again, nonexclusive content rules the day. If you're bored here go to the bonus material section where you choose from dozens of worthless 3rd party streaming vids made for dial up connections and that have existed since the dawn of the internet.

The search engine doesn't work. The quality is definitely below what you would get on the sites that actually produced the content. Catching my drift yet. Stay away.

The only good thing is that the cross sells on the signup page appear to be gone ... for now.

I've sort of avoided this site because they use mostly nonexclusive material from what I've seen on tgp sites and the tour. This makes me even less likely to sign up.

They "shine" the preview well, so you might think it's something new. But, man - when I started to look closer - it was all the stuff I've seen and former downloaded from the earlier DDF-sessions.

This site contains nothing but DDF material. If you were a member of Hands On Hardcore, this is all from that site. I know DDF is affiliated with Swank, but there seems to be no mention of this here.

I don't know about Swank, but one of company sites is Gent Online, which I joined once about a year and a half ago.

It also had a nice-looking public area, but once I got inside, it was awful. The pics were small, and some were really small (like a max length of 500px), a lot of them non-exclusive. There was stuff by Stephen Hicks and Dennis DeFrancesco, which is FAR better on their own sites (Digital Dreamgirls and 1byday, respectively).

And there was no good organization, just a small thumb to each gallery. I spent at least a half hour trying to find anything good on it.

It was one of the worse sites content-wise I'd ever seen. I got absolutely nothing from it. It was a complete waste of money.
