Otoh...no music on any of the clips I dl'ed, thankfully. I can't stand the ones with music-beds either (mostly because I edit my videos to the portions I enjoy). The quality on the vids has improved since I was last a member. Much higher resolution now.

A good first review. Although i've never been a member here you summed up the issue that puts me off joining which is basically the price. For me it's nearly 35 bucks to join here and being a pic collector i'm not even interested in their videos so i can't bring myself to pay that just for their photo collection which is far inferior in resolution to sites like Met Art of MPL Studios. At $20 i probably wouldn't think twice about signing up. Welcome to PU by the way.

Again, thanks for the review - this is another site on my list as I quite like the level it's pitched at - from what I've seen it's explicit but not hardcore but there's an element of risky locations and no cheesy BGM (are all the videos without music?) both of which I like.

Does FTV Girls still have their videos in segments rather than a full-length video? And if they do, so they start each segment with a 10 second title screen? Those were the two things that bugged me about them.

Their oldest stuff is 1090px on the long side. Their newest stuff is 1600px.

Then they have some "big sized" sets that are either 3000px or 4000px but they are more random than anything else, not even close to their complete collection, and only include a sampling of images from a given set.

Assume you're getting 1600px on their new material.

Now, it has been two years since I had joined the site and I still have some pictures, but I was wondering if they have the same sizes for all photos. For example I have some pictures of Georgia Jones' pictures and some are 2000x3000, but I don't have any of Franziska in that sizes.

That all makes sense. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I suspect that a big part of the reason why we think differently about this site is that you prefer pictures and I prefer video. And I should point out that I usually only download the public/outdoor segments of the videos, so I guess that's me saying that the rest is a little uninspiring too.

Your explanation of the photo shoots being technically good but artistically lacking makes perfect sense to me. Whether or not a reader agrees with that assessment, it is still a valid opinion.

But, as you say, we agree on one thing: the models are stunning. Maybe my problem is I tend to be too subjective when reviewing the site and let that get in the way of some objectivity. Hmmmm... that's something for me to think about. We're all going to have a different subjective reaction to a site, but reviews are probably better staying objective.

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to reading more from you and more back-and-forth on a topic we both obviously enjoy.

Thanks for replying to my review. I'll try and justify my score of 65. I was originally going to give it a 70, however based on PU rating definitions, my rating fits the description which I think suits my criticism; hence this site "Needs Work" and I also give it a "low recommendation." If my buddy had 32$ to spend, I'd tell him to go elsewhere. This site has to many issues.

Furthermore, I believe you misunderstood me; or rather I perhaps didn't explain it properly.. I have no issues with the quality of the camera equipment (as in megapixels). I mean the actual photo-shoot. A picture set which is engaging, with flair, which really showcases the girls. It's the photographers job to take a woman and make her a superstar. I find the photographers here lack this flair.

I didn't download one set, therefore I have nothing to comment about download speed. However, as I browse through the site (just browsing - therefore 1 click at a time, 1 photo at a time, or 1 set of thumbnails at a time), these servers are slow by today's standards. I don't want to wait 10 seconds (you heard right, sometimes it's 10 seconds) for a set of thumbnails to load. Let's not hide it, when you find a nice set you're ready to jack-off too, what a massive disappointment to have to wait for the pics to load. This is basic I would assume.

Befittingly you share the same opinion as me about the site navigation and search engine. "Needs work!" So I don't need to get into this topic.

I will however give credit when credit is due; the girls are gorgeous here. But many porn sites showcase gorgeous natural beauties. So to me, it is not enough to warrant the price considering all the issues. This brings about the issue of value.

So I think it is fitting (in my opinion) that this site "Needs work" and therefore a score in the 60's is accurate given the PU's rating definition.

I do appreciate criticism; I don't take it as negative. As long as people remain objective and non-personal, I'll respect your views opinions.

Same as you i'm a pictures guy and i've been tempted by the models here for many years but never got around to joining because from what i've seen of their photos on TGPs or forums I get the impression the photos here are just a side show to the videos, I suppose the clue is in the title of the site First Time Video Girls. And with regional pricing making the price 35 bucks for me i just can't justify paying that for what i believe is a below par photo collection

I haven't been a member at FTV Girls for over a year, but I definitely intend to go back soon. I agree with some of your comments that the navigation and overall feel of the site are a bit dated, and I wish it could be improved. But... the site itself is relatively simple so the limited navigation isn't as bad as it would be on a DVD site, for example. I'm more a video guy but I do download some pictures. I don't remember being disappointed in the quality of the videos or the pictures, and I see in my first review of the site that I noted the download speeds were okay. Maybe there was something slowing the speeds down for a while.

For me though, I'm a big fan of this site because of the models. The small FTV team seems to have a great eye (admittedly their taste is the same as mine) and they shoot them well too. I have almost zero interest in glamour, solo and masturbation sites, but sites like FTV Girls and ALS Scan do that so well with stunningly beautiful women that they are among my all-time favourite sites on the internet.

Two of the great things about this board are that there is a diversity of opinion, and that diversity is respected. I'll admit that I haven't been a member at FTV Girls for over a year, and I respect your opinion, but I suspect that both objectively and subjectively it deserves better than a 65 score. Please don't take offence to that, it isn't meant that way.

Not to add insult to injury, but consider giving more detail in your reviews. For both video and pictures it would be helpful to know resolutions and file sizes. That would give your readers a better understanding of what you mean.

Finally, welcome to the board. Please don't take anything I've written as a criticism because it isn't meant that way. I hope you stay around and contribute lots more. I think you'll find the board a great resource and the forum is a great place to swap information too.

I know this is quite a while on from the original comment and things may have changed in that time but a download speed of over 2 MB/s per file is fine for me - a lot faster than most site give you - so there's nothing to complain about with d/l speeds on ftv at all in my opinion.

Nominated this site for a review or at least some facts info. Anybody joined it and have any info on it? It is a plus that's it through the FTV producers, but on the other hand, I've noticed their solo sites aren't always updating. I didn't even know this model's full name until a few days ago. I have a video called Geek Girl Sex that has her in it and thought she was really sex, very believable, girl next door type with a natural body. Most of the rest I've seen of her comes from Videobox, a series called My Neighbor's Sex Life or something like that. Wouldn't mind joining it if I knew a little more about it. The preview shows quite a few videos, HD quality, but the files look surprisingly small for HD and not all list the minutes. I haven't seen many HD videos that are 111 MB, so there is some concern there.

I like the site and you do have some real stunners on the site and am impressed it has been 2 guys for 8 years, that's some achievement so well done. Now this is me but the best scenes I joined a while back was the lesbian scenes and the outdoor public nudity, would love it if you maybe got another 2 guys working for you and did a separate site concentrating on these scenes as you shoot some of the hottest lesbian scenes in the porn biz, I've not seen many of late so I haven't thought it worthwhile re-joining but I for sure would if you did more lesbian material.

Shake It Up

If you're short on drive space, might I suggest you buy an external harddrive with at least one or two terabytes. That way, chances are you'll never fill it up.

Since there's little that hasn't been covered already via reviews and this source, I'll just act as another number to add on the positive side of FTV Girl's ledger.
Good softcore sites aren't all too plentiful -- at least the kind I like. Happily, this one had the right stuff. The girls gave me the right moves, they talked the talk and walked the walk (figuratively speaking).

I have run across this issue a couple of times, most recently with asstraffic.com. My initial solution was to simply not sign up and move along to a fairer website.

Now I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do. Is it the fault of CCBill or the fault of the websites that this double pricing occurs? If it is the fault of the websites I think I will start compiling a list of these money grabbing c*nts and post it on as many forums/blogs/etc as possible to pursuade them to change their tactics.

I think the members here are in a privillaged position where we can see the price in dollars and thus know that something iffy is afoot when we hit the signup page. Average Joe punter would have no idea that the price is different and he will be ripped off unless we start spreading news of these nefarious sites.

First: CCBill certainly has some of these currency-problems with when joining from Europe.

But NOT here: (at least via TBP)

Take a look again at join-page: Go to 'Use EU Direct Pay' - here you get a right price: 20.31 Euros - which adds up to the Dollar-price....

And once more about this EU currency problems:
If CCBill is too expensive, search for the site at Epoch Shop (Adult) - 9 out of ten (alomst) you'll get a fair price, that's similar to the price in dollars...

Here the same problem , advertising 29,95 dollars but once on the sign-up page it is 29,95 euro's , send a mail to cc-bill what answer did i get . You must send a mail to the webmaster , i'm getting realy sick and tired from it al.

I dont understand why the webmasters want to work with such payment sites , i hope they realise they are losing a lot of clients .
