I just logged on again and this time was successful downloading a scene, so apparently it was temporary.

I will stay subscribed, but I really don't like the silence of their customer service. Their responses have always been quick and on point but not this time. Perhaps they were overwhelmed with communications when the site went down.

In the past when I contacted their Support I always got a very fast response. This time nada, even after 24 hours.

And in most cases when a site goes down, you can't log in. I couid log in fast and clean but once in (on the home page) I was unable to access any content.

That's why my conjucture that they were out of business.

After about 36 hours I got an email from them that just gave me my logon stuff (access code and password) which meant nothing. No response to my follow-up.

I'm giving it another day then will simply cancel. (My current run expires on Friday.)

Not sure why you would think they are out of business... seems like a connectivity or server problem on their end. Looks like they have it worked out.

Hope you do not mind constuctive criticism,on this review.
The review is just way to short to give such a high score. The site might rock, I havent joined yet.
But I would not join a site where I have no idea what the review means to the poster.

Here at PU , your opinion most of us would agree matters, so please post and give a complete review what you think, what you saw, what you liked didnt like. The girls, the guys. Music. How fast.
There is a huge list of great things you can contribute.
Read some of the others reviews it will help.

If you are ever going to rate a site about say a 85, some advice would be to give the reader some information.
If its any consolation I did the same thing gave a 98 toa site little info, it cost me a trust point. I had a negative before any positive trust score when I joined, but a member told me and gave me some good advice and I took it. So Learned what to post and what reader like.

Tell us stuff we wouldnt know by just looking at the front of the site. Stuff like that we will all drool over because if its good review we will join in many cases.
But if you tel us nothing we most likley will ignore the review.
This review didnt convince me of any thought that were given.

Having joined twice (currently in my second month of subscription #2) I agree with the comments but not the score.

It's a great site but the scenes can go on far too long with no variety. Watching a girl stick a dildo in her snatch and move it around for 10 minutes in the same position gets very boring. The producer needs to edit down the static scenes.

I will be writing a review shortly but wanted to note that I agree with landers-4 that this site is truly special and warrants a high rating.

There are some sites like forced witness and other sites especially some russian sites they are mentioned in TBP and they seem to be close to the syle of hentai, in fact most of what you see in hardcore should be what larry flynt calls vanilla sex you have heard of softcore hardcore now how about something called extremecore because a lot of hentai, russian (some but not all of them ) and other sites should be maybe be called that in fact you see the word extreme used alot extreme this or extreme that. you will problably call me a liar just like you seem you call every else you disagree with you sound like one of those bad mouthing political people who have websites and radio talk shows bad mouthing every one who they disagree with. I have seen people who bad mouth other people so harshly it would almost be considered assault. I have not joined the site in over a year but I like the HD videos I do not like the download limit even though I have seen other sites using it kind of like the drm thing other sites use that people hate, one thing I would like to see again is the internext videos especially new ones or something similar seeing the girls together is one of the best they should have a group of girls go to different locales in the same syle as internext kind of like a travel style reality show.

There DVDs are a rip off. You can just join the site, download the videos you want, then burn them to your own DVD. I bought a DVD once from them a long time ago, and the DVD is made no better then what any average computer joe could make on his computer.

Be wary if ordering DVDs

A word of caution if you want to buy their DVDs. I used to order from them every now and then and delivery was really slow, but reliable. On average it took 3-4 weeks before delivery. Late last year I placed an order from them after they outsourced the DVD business to DVDHotties. I got a shipment confirmation within a few days but it took nearly 4 weeks for the discs to be delivered and one of them had the wrong content burned onto it. After a few emaila & calls, a promise to get me the right DVD and 2 months of waiting, I gave up. Stick with the online content, it's top notch (except having to hear "3, 2, 1" over and over again).

I definitely agree with you about the photo sizes. I don't understand why some sites are still stuck in the "hey, wow, these are some really BIG pics, y'all, which makes them special, so we have to create some scarcity for them" mindset. It's what turns me off to Photo Dromm and Xisty as well, 'cause they do the same thing.

There are some fine pics at FTV that I'd love to have in full size, but probably never will. And on their site, the "huge" pics area can be kind of tough to keep track of. Plus, you don't even know what pics you're going to get unless you download first. I think a lot of bandwidth gets wasted because of that.

Great review, by the way! It makes the right points on both the pro's and the con's. I don't understand why it gets such raves from some other people. Femjoy and MetArt are a lot better, I think.

I have not been a member since they released the HD formate. I was there when they had I believe 3 MBit video, it might have been 2 though, not sure off hand. But I have seen a few places already with 8 MBit video. The look absolutely stunning, even at full screen on a 1600x1200 monitor. The only issue with these, after they are downloaded anyway, is that they take a lot of system resources to play. Forget about multitasking if you are playing one of these unless you have a hell of a machine. The videos end up starting a bit jittery for me, but even up after a few seconds and skipping around the video takes a little time too. Granted the computer I was using is not the fastest out there now, but it does pretty well. If you have the ability to download that large of a file by all means do it, you wont regret it once it has finished a week later for those of you still cursed with dial up. :)

Oh yes, back the file up on dvd if you can, the last thing you want is for the file that took 3 hours even on a 3 MBit/s connection to corrupt and have to redownload it!

I download this entire is about 6-8 months ago and I was blowing well over 15 GB per day. I was actually very close to 20 GB per hour honestly! Perhaps I got lucky?

Those bit rates are not unheard of. I actually have some videos at that rate. But none the less that is exciting because I have been considering rejoining. i might have to bump them up on my schedule!

The new HD videos are really something, too. Full 1440x1080. Although I've only downloaded one to just get a look. The file sizes are huge. Just to put it in perspective for everyone: a normal update would have, on average 700MB-1500MB in videos. With the new HD resolution, every update has been 3600MB-5900MB in size. I can't even begin to think of what their bandwidth bills are like.

I updated the review (with credit). It's interesting, they do a mini-redesign apparently every year. I had to go back to ftvgirls.com to check the FAQ and its (ftvgirls.com) different than when I joined. Same premise, just updated photos from more recent models.

PosterDude, I don't think TBP take back handers from any porn company to give good reviews. But the bottom line is: don't trust those reviews, or any other professional review site's reviews. Only pay attention to independent user reviews. At least that's my motto.

Professional reviews nearly always seem to be in the late 80s and upwards. They're just not truly reflective of the reality out there. Some sites barely merit more than 10/100. And these review sites often review many dozens of pay sites, so I'm suspicious that they have either the time or money to do this properly.

I reckon a good proportion of professional reviews out there are based solely on the free tours! So no wonder they're artificially high!
Not saying that's the case with TBP, but is just a general suspicion of mine.

Three weeks ago I joined FTVgirls again for the second time. The last time I was a member, back in 2003, I thought FTVgirls was a good site. My opinion has since changed. I must agree with the review put forth by PosterDude. His review is thorough and accurate, and apparently others agree with his review based on the comments that follow. Your opinion and fierce defense of FTV girls appears heavily biased and suspicious. For you to say that FTV girls is a good site only serves to demonstrate that you do not know what else is out there, or at the very least, you do not care about receiving value for your money. With all the talk about FTVgirls and HD video I was expecting much more. There is very little HD video on this site when compared to many other sites. You are accurate in that their video files are extremely large, but they place download limits on what a member can download. That is inexcusable. Moreover, this site does not update enough. How can you be satisfied with few solo girl updates per month? I am not, and will not be renewing. I will spend my money with sites that update daily and provide a much higher quality and variety of content. The quality of their content has remained the same since I was last a member, while most other web sites have advanced leaps and bounds (or leapfrogged as you would say) past FTV girls. I am glad that you are content wasting your money, but please do not mislead the public into wasting theirs.

In your review, you indicated you thought women were being forced and were unhappy. I have found no evidence of that and I've seen almost all of the video FTVGirls has produced. I look for that because I don't like it either. But, I have not found it on FTVGirls. I have seen several instances when the videographer has accommodated models to permit them to feel more comfortable.
You also stated "Site not first time video because always same models do video for Ronharris and other sites many months before ftv." There are very few models (perhaps 10) who have appeared on both sites. So, your use of the term "always" is incorrect. Frankly, I would be very surprised if 15% of the models who appeared on FTVGirls appeared on some other site before appearing on FTVGirls. Also, RH has had 63 models on his site whereas FTVGirls has had 302 models so it's plain to see that your statement is false.
It's difficult to address the update issue as FTVGirls has a different focus than the vast majority of other sites. Some people here have commented that the lack of daily updates is a detractor. I often get the feeling that this view is based upon the commenter's porn or sexual addiction and an indication of an unrealistic world view. In real life, one doesn't get to have a different partner every day and only for the purpose of sexual gratification, nor should one. Life is, and people are, about much more that mere sexual gratification. I haven't forgotten that the women who appear on these sites are real and unique with personalities, appearances, dreams, and desires of their own and I'm grateful for them sharing part of their lives. Some people are immature jerks who only want to use someone else, or the video of someone else, to get their nut off. I'm not one of them.
As for leap-frogging, the HD presented around the net is typically 1280x720 at 4Mbs. FTVGirls HD is 1440x1080 at 8 Mbs. The viewer now can get approximately 70% more pixels at only twice the bandwidth and that's an improvement worthy of the phrase "leap-frogging".
As for the blurriness of the photos, I understand what you're saying. There's a technique of using a short depth of field to draw the viewers attention to where the focus is sharp. It's a technique that is widely used in video and photography on a wide variety of content. I can enjoy the snapshot photo, where everything is in focus, and I can enjoy the more creative approach. Each photo is a statement, even if every detail is out of focus, and I have found very, very few where that occurred.
I find your review to say more about you than FTVGirls. Thank-you for presenting it.

I agree width you. This site dissapoints. They have good site design and promotion but bad product. Webmaster/Camera guy ruins video and pictures. Compatition so much better now. Read my honest review.

As far as TBP is concerned, I've been burned enough times myself by trusting their reviews that anymore, I mostly check them for new site listings or the pure data they provide and not the more subjective impressions they have.

Even the data can be wrong, too, though, as I've experienced as well (e.g., "full-trial" when it's not).

I don't think that the TBP reviewers are dishonest or taking bribes, but they don't seem to have the same kinds of in-depth experiences with sites that we at PU have. Frankly, I think they're a pretty shallow and incompetent lot. They could at least tell us how large the pics are, but they just don't. I think, "Aren't they supposed to review what's on the site??"

Thank God they don't review automobiles! (Skid ... crash!!)

And there are people at PU who say we should be members of a site for at least a month before writing a review, but you don't seee them saying that to the TBP reviewers.

Thanks again for the "straight from the hip" review of FTV Girls.

That why I was so mad at TBP people for there false review. Because of TBP I waste my money and now do not trust site reviews. Maybe Ftv pay people to get high review.

I try best to give good propper review of sites and be honest. You do good reviews and should review Ftv. Not many updates for money made me most sad and I for got to list bandwidth limit as bad to. It is over I just move on to much better sites.
