Yes, the prices of sites DO change a LOT. Our (very hard working) staff make every effort to keep our listings current and accurate. As well as spot checking sites, we are VERY attentive when PornUsers mentions a price has changed.

With regards to regional pricing, we have no way of knowing what those outside the US might be charged on any given day. Where we KNOW a site is using regional pricing, the editors make a notation on the site's listing.

We're sorry we're not perfect ... trust me, it's not from lack of trying. :)

I personally have no interest in getting into a protracted discussion about regional pricing. Truthfully, this discussion would be better suited to the forum than focused on a specific site. Still, as it's repeatedly come up in this "thread" I'll share a little info in hopes of letting users here understand the issue.

First off, those who keep referring to a wrong exchange rate don't seem to have grasped what regional pricing is. It is NOT an exchange rate .. has nothing to do with an normal currency exchange rate. It IS about charging a different price based on where the customer is from.

In other aspects of life, it seems not only common, but acceptable to be charged different prices for the same thing based on where you're buying (or where you're from). For instance, what I pay for a DVD or a cup of Starbucks coffee will vary greatly depending on where I purchase it. Another example, lk2fireone mentions (above) where he was being charged a higher rate than local citizens (while visiting Europe), for the same items, even though he was paying in the local currency. Still, it's a fairly recent development for porn sites and understandably, it's not being well accepted by those who are having to pay more.

The reason you're seeing it more for purchases made through CCBill is because CCBill, in their interface for the site owners, has added a feature making it easy and convenient for site owners to enable regional pricing. It's the actual site owner who's deciding to charge more based on where you're at, not CCBill. They (CCBill) just handle the transaction according to the site owner's instructions.

Is it understandable that some porn surfers are upset at paying more for the same product ... sure. Are tourist upset when they're charged more than locals ... you bet. Is this something that you can expect to see more of ... my guess is yes. Can anything be done about it ... sometimes, writing the webmaster and letting them know you're aware you're getting charged more is enough to prompt them to give you a better price.

Thanks for the reply, Smut. I think the best bet would be to deal almost exclusively with Epoch from now on, as suggested by Denner, because it's not the first time or the first site that CCBill charged way more than the going rate. Their conversion table must have been misplaced. :-)

That's a great tip, Denner. Come to think of it, every time I used Epoch they always charged me in U.S. Dollars and then converted it to Canadian Dollars at the going rate. Must try that with the next site I join. Might be a while, though, because our Dollar is still in free fall. :-(

I will add to that: It's only CCBill that has these "reginal pricings" - as far as I have experienced - and Only for some sites - a growning number of sites with CCBill as the only billing-co. has changed that policy (or is it CCBill?) which means that the price in Euro are now exactly the same as if you paid in Dollars - even down to the smallest decimal..
A few - like the mentioned Teenrotica - has still not changed that.

Strangely enough it's practically only CCBill that keep those high prices regarding difference in currency.
Epoch do not - a couple of times or more I've written to the webmaster about the CCBill-price, and - man, they send me a link to join via Epoch at the price stated at TBP....in US-dollars!

they surely do. There's a lot of services available for geo location based on the ip address you have (fixed) or get (using dial-in to a pool of ip addresses your provider owns) when going online. Like for instance http://www.ip2location.com/ or http://www.geobytes.com/ipLocator.htm

I had trouble with some sites one of them actually didn't know that this feature was active for them. After letting them know they urged their billing company to turn that off a.s.a.p. :-)

Thanks for the info! CCBill automatically quotes the Canadian price, I guess they keep track of the DNS from where the request is coming so I had no idea that the price was higher compared to that quoted by TBP.
CCBill nevertheless were willing to charge way more than the official rate. But as Khan stated other factors might play a role.

TheBestPorn lists price as $24.94 US for 30 days recurring.

But TheBestPorn price is not a discounted price (at least no indication that price is discounted).

So the price might have changed since it was listed at TBP.

The prices at many of these sites change a lot, and you really need a dynamic link to keep up with the price changes, if you want to stay current (and then you need to list the discounted price from TBP as well, if there is one).

As far as model Stefany, she looks way past her teenage years. But many sites advertise "teens" that are way past that age. These sites sell youth, not truth. We all know that, even if we don't like admitting it to ourselves.

I only started looking at this site sometime in November, 2008, so there are a lot of posts I haven't read.

I haven't read about regional pricing.

I'm a US citizen. When I took a trip to some European countries, at some places, I was aware that as a tourist, I was being charged a higher rate than local citizens, for the same items, even though I was paying in the local currency.

Which I did not think was fair. But I couldn't do anything about the price difference I was charged. I was not the only one being charged a higher rate. All the people in our tour group were charged the same rate (except for the tour guides, who also got a lower rate).

It sounds like you may have missed some of the discussions that have gone on here about "regional pricing". That's the practice of charging a different rate depending on the location the person is at. It's not just a matter of currency conversion.

Isn't there some way to pay in US dollars even if you live in Europe?
I live in US, and have paid in foreign currency for some transactions with a credit card. The credit card company (I think it was mastercard) charged me an additional 3% above the conversion rate. And the conversion rate was not as good as that quoted on Wall Street (for major financial transactions), but that still seems better than the rates that are being offered to you for Euros.

Like mr smut and The Squirrel I've seen this more and more - and like these fellow users I think it's a rip off and a speculation in earnings only - a bit like when some site "pre-mark" another site when joining one.

And some sites even offers you a helping hand with a different link to join in US dollars even if your're placed in Europe (after writing to the webmaster) Great too.

Wanted to try this site again (maybe because I was a little drunk or because there seems to be some fine updates - or maybe in lack of any other new sites).
But again I get caught in currency-hassle.
The price (regular, not green)) is $ 24.95 according to good ol' TBP.
Try to join - the price here is Euro 39.95 (non recurring) as a choice for european users. That price is around: $48.
Another try, the price is Euro 29.95 - or around $37. (recurring).

You won't get too many euro-members that way.....

We can´t see this phenomenon, even if we use an older system with less memory.

One feature they've added since you were last there a year ago is a kind of "shrink/enlarge" image program. You click on, say, the "XXL" under an image and the image pops up close to the screen size. Then if you click this "shrink/enlarge" button in the lower right corner of the image, the image expands to the XXL size (2000px).

As my RAM depleted, mousing over the XXL under the image brought this little rectangle that said "Loading ..." with a little spiraling graphic (meaning "please wait"). By the time I'd gotten through about a month of galleries, this "Loading .." rectangle just sat there and the image never came. I had to quit and reboot, and that was slow.

This morning I again went through a number of sites, with no problem, so it's clear to me that it's got something to do with Teenrotica. I doubt that it's anything underhanded. But it's not web programming at its finest.

But really, I don't know much about it. I do know that a webmaster can choose whether an image file draws progressively on the screen or pre-loads into RAM, which case you may wait longer, then suddenly the whole thing appears at once. So I think they can program from a website to use, in greater or lesser amounts, the resources on a visitor's computer.

And a webmaster can use scripts to detect a user's OS, screen resolution, browser and version, etc. Not a bad thing, really, since it makes it possible to display a page properly on screens that are 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x(I forgot), etc.

Never had that with any paysite - was a member of Teenrotica a year ago or so - but nothing like this happened.

I seen some pop-ups at dangerous free sites where this pop-up tells me that my computer need optimizing and their program offers to do a check-up. I run away as fast as I can.....

Thought I'd give this one another try. It's still pretty much the same (care to see my review?), but there were some choice finds after all of the time away. I mean ASS done right. And the photos and the babes are really good. (Smiley)

However, after about 1.5 months of galleries worth of catching up, my computer was running really, really slowly. Then it told me that it was under the minimum requirement for virtual memory. I didn't know that such a system message even existed! And I'd just rebooted! Never had that with a site before. I'll go to scads of sites and get all kinds of stuff with nary a RAM crunch.

Yeah, I can try emptying the cache, increasing the virtual memory, adding more physical RAM, blah blah blah ... but that won't change the fact that this site somehow roots into it until one finally just has to abort! (My apologies to the Bard.)

Anyone else have this happen at Teenrotica? Or should I just go f--- oh, I'm not allowed to say that here.

Great picture site!!!

This site is excellent! I got a 1 year subscription: very nice pictures indeed, with lots of nice wide open spreads (my stuff!!).
Pics are very sharp, videos are not as good, compared to the picture quality... But I think I am more a picture guy...

I had to laugh at this, jd. It's 2008 now, and some of these sites will just have to come clean about how old their models are. At some major sites you can see models' ages at anywhere between 19 and 23 who've had pics all over the net since the late nineties.

Tawny Stone should be in the World Record's book for staying 18 longer than any other human in history. A biological miracle!

I agree Teenrotica is a good site but it needs more work. I thought the videos where totally poor in quality and content. The pictures where great if your a shaved teen fan, but they tend to repeat in likeness from pic to pic. The models moving an inch or the photographer just slighty moving the camera becomes a bit boring. The girl is right there looking all spunky and ready to go but the camera person is stuck in slow speed just clicking at the same angle. So much lost potential. The poor quality of the videos really turned me off from this site. The big wait as quoted can make or break this site.

Mudman has it right with the word "formula." In nearly every gallery, there is a long stretch of photos in which the girls take it off. Then they put their hands on their rears, stretch and puddle up their kitties, and then perform with a plastic Johnny. The ending is often of them sitting on Mr. John, in several frames. It's too bad because the girls are killer gorgeous and put out loads of sex appeal (more so than at many sites) and the pics are large and high quality with lots of attention to color and styling.

But how about some variety in the activity? They need better presentations of the girls looking back as they show off their luscious butts (WITHOUT their hands on 'em, and not always head to toe, for a change). It's as if there's some supervisor around, holding up the master storyboard, saying, "You can only do it THIS WAY!"

This site could be leader if they'd just be less obsessive about toys and masterbation to the CONSTANT exclusion of other matters of interest. What they have managed to do is make beautiful girls ... kinda boring. That's quite a feat!

Thanks for the extra info here too! One question: Do any of these softcore sites have girls with shorter hair? I love anything above the shoulders but the shorter the better! Actually, I confused my reviews. I'd said of Infocus, that the close-up rarely were infocus, but I was thinking of Teenrotica. Infocus actually fairs pretty well in using the camera.

The problem, especially with these 3 sites, is how indistinquishable they are from each other. The poses are so cookie cutter, that the photographer certainly must use index cards telling him what shot at what angle is next. The quality is generally quite skilled, but gets boring because there's so little imagination or effort in the shot.

All three sites do have volume, do have pretty girls, are shot in color, but simply seem to provide the expected same old same old. They don't need to go radical on every shoot, just do something creative once and a while, so there's a reason to get up in the morning and take a look.

So, for volume, pretty girls and a boring sameness, an 84. They fix the boring and a higher score. They lose their volume or girls and a lower score. They're good, not exciting, but not bad. A 5 page shoot, 3 pages of clothes almost off, 4th page naked 5th page money shot and see ya. ATK Galleria is a better chose for this, as you get unmatched volume, up to 12 sets a day.

Of the three, I'd say Infocus was the most interesting.

I'd really like to hear more on this site than what you provided unless you areally found it that boring. If so I'd stay clear, but to me a site with a rating of 84 means it's still pretty good.
