Sticking videos?

Am I the only one having trouble with the video downloads from this site? They STICK. If I try to jump ahead I get a 5 to 10 second pause until the video resumes. I've tried MOV, MPG and WMV in several different players and they all stick. Am I missing a codec? This site used to be a great, great site, but now the videos are fewer in number and the site is a real headache to use.

I, too, have had major problems with this site blocking me after loyally letting them take my money. Fact is, I truly love this site but over my being a subscriber off and on for over a total of three years, now I constantly get blocked, send an inquiry and maybe, maybe two weeks later get a reply to change my password. I have sent three different e-mails in the past two weeks asking what it will take to fix these problems, and have not heard anything again this time. I was blocked one time and accused of sharing my password with someone in Turkey (couldn't point it out to you on a map) I also saw in passing one time some stated problems with the 'sbcglobal.net/ATT' thing. I have inquired about that THREE times with no answer. Of course it easy to state that I have never shared passwords, but truth is, I never have and do not see any advantage of doing so. The last time I joined and subsequently blocked, I tried to minimize my time on the site (browse less than 20 mins or so)and it only took 9 days before I was blocked. I sent four inquiries in and heard nothing and finally contacted CCBill, and they just offered a refund. Again, I love this site and would give anything to enjoy it hassle free, but somehow it always ends up to seemingly being my fault. I see where Simon replies here and wants to clear his name when someone disparages the site...well, I'm here to clear my name and say that I have NEVER done anything that I was accused of doing to be blocked from this site. I just wish that when a problem arises that someone at Simonscans would actually work with someone to figure why this problem arises, instead of being accused of something that I did not EVER do.
I keep reading in lots of areas that MANY other subscribers to this site have the same problem I do; gets blocked, doesn't know why, e-mails Customer Service and when and if you receive a reply, it's to block you and accuse you of something you haven't done. Simon you seem to have a popular site, and have you ever thought that hackers work on your end to get our info?
So Simon, how do you treat someone who truly would love to be a subscriber to your site, pay you gladly each month, and enjoy the site hassle free? Over the time length of your site I have paid well over a thousand bucks and would stay a member forever, if we would quit having constant blocking/customer service problems.
I'll gladly tell people how great the content of the site is, and how good the site really is, but when constant Customer Service problems appear, it all goes South.
Restore my faith Simon, what can we do to get to the hassle free point?

Now I understanded the root of the problem and I would like to apologize to you . First let us to explain the problem . Here in my city, the ISP prevented and blocked all the ADULT sex sites. So many citizen uses international software paid from UK. this software allow us to go and navigate and browser the internet freely. This software use the original internet connection provided to us by our ISP, but at the same time give you an diffrent IP address and from this conflicting point YOU thought that I login with two diffrent IP address from two diffrent location . The software I used is from UK and I will send you email with the software web site to make sure that it is safe . I use it with different adult site with no problem at all and again i apologize, hoping that you will understand the point and also that I am an victim and not an gelty.

Firstly, I would point out we have attempted to sort out these problems and have refunded you as we have been unable to come up with a solution. As you have decided to attack us in public despite timely polite support AND A REFUND, I will defend us in public.

"Unable to determine IP address from host name"

This is not an error message our servers ever show. In fact a quick search on Google seems to show the error message is related to proxies and domain name servers (DNS) Which indicates that you are probably either directly using a proxy or your ISP is using a proxy that you do not know about. Given your location in Qatar, this is a distinct possibility.

What we see is this; You are logging in from two different locations at the same time:-

Qatar
UK

Sharing passwords is a violation of our terms and conditions. We have server logs and output from two separate scripts with time stamps that show these multiple location logins.

I'm sorry it didn't work out and you weren't able to join - but there's simply nothing for us to gain by treating you deliberately in the way you claim we did. You've jumped in from moment one with accusations and abuse - and no, we haven't "insulted" you in any way at all - as soon as we were aware you had a problem we did all we could to help. What more can we do under the circumstances?

After I asked the Simon Scan site to refunded me, I received email from them to confirmed the member cancellation and to confirme the refund> After that they again open and removed the block to my IP addressi.e after cancellation without any reason they allow me to open the Simon Scan home page> This prove my point that they are BLOCK my IP address from opening their Home page as i expected>
I write here to warning every one from subscripition to this site and from the few hours they allowed me to enter their site I can say that the video here are silent only sound come up at the end of the video > This make the video very bad without the expected excitation> Few videos are HD and the others are in very poor quility. Thanks for the very in-depth review. I was thinking about putting a comment on about the site, but this reply will do.

I'm not a photographer, but I agree that the depth-of-field problem needs to be addressed. There are a some photos there that would have been great if not for the limited area of focus. That was a bummer for me, especially with recent material of Cherry.

But I also noticed some real improvements in the site since I'd last been there. The navigation is exemplary now. It's very easy to find things and get them. The overall design has been simplified, so you don't have to stop and scratch your head over what to do next, which I thought was the case with earlier designs. (There have been at least two.)

Also gone is that annoying login page, which required typing in a code that was particularly difficult to read. Now you just use the login box that comes with the browser. Have it remember the password and you're in quick!

So although I'm not into the toy play, I must say that the site deserves some recognition for making some important, positive changes.

Excellent reply, thank you, I have a far better impression of the site following your input.

In our defence, contacting CCBill regarding the payment seemed like the best option because as you mentioned, my girlfriend's original message went unanswered and people tend to get a bit paranoid about their credit card details.

Regarding the preference for CCBill, this comes purely from the fact that the VSX payment process always states my girlfriend's card isn't valid, when of course it works everywhere else, including CCBill.

I'm sure she'd gladly accept your offer of a free pass and thank you for the gesture of good will. Let me know how she should get in touch and I'll pass on the details.

I'm really sorry you hit problems but you also didn't give us chance to solve the password issue - The FAQs are very clear that if you have a problem with your membership you should email us direct - our system is setup for this, but you didn't do it. I'm not trying to dodge responsibility, but if anyone ever has a problem with anything, the best thing to do is to go direct to the source - in this case Simonscans - and not via any intermediary, such as CCBill.

We handle the support inhouse, so the buck does stop here. We've tried outsourcing support in the past and it pleased no one, so we now take turns in the office to do it, hence its spread around just 4 people.

Your email about how to join via CCBill was ignored - and wrongly so - it had been asigned a low priority as it didn't involve a paying member at that point. It also seemed a little odd as while we love CCBill, they are just one of our billers - there's simply nothing to choose between each. We absolutely won't get drawn into any discussions over one of them being trustworthy and the others less so - no processor is able to keep their merchant account if they aren't 100%, so they are all good.

We will however in the future add direct links to each biller for those that do have a preference.

Simonsfans isn't our site, but yet again, as we allow it to promote us, the buck stops here. We recently made some changes to Simonscans which resulted in join pages being moved - simonsfans had not completed changing their links. It should not have made a difference, but in this case it did. We've contacted the webmaster and I'm sure more of it will change. NONE of this was instigated by CCBill and certainly doesn't imply any form of crookery on anyones part.

Doing support is a pretty thankless task at the best of times. It arrives at all hours, ranges from the incomprehensible to the downright weird. Almost everyone is annoyed something isn't working and also very (and rightly) worried that they are in the process of being ripped off. We really are trying to help. :)

In this case, the least we can do is offer you a free pass for 6 months, please give us chance to impress you with our porn :)

Beware of Billing Scams / Non-Existent Communication

My girlfriend wanted to try this site, and would liked to have signed up using CCBill.

On the site's FAQ page at - http://www.simonscans.com/pages/faqs/ - it clearly states there are three main systems for joining, and CCBill is one of them, but on the sign-up form itself CCBill is never given as an option. She E-mailed to ask how to join using CCBill but never received a reply.

Last week she spotted a site called SimonsFans.com - http://www.simonsfans.com/sf.php - one of those typical gateway sites full of free taster images. On there was a link to join using CCBill, so she filled in all her details and CCBill processed the payment, but she was never provided with a username or password.

The E-mail from CCBill reads:

"Thank you for your subscription to Simonscans.
Your subscription number is ******************* [obfuscated here]
Please include your subscription number in all correspondence.
Your username is
Your password is"

So she wrote to CCBill and asked how to gain access to the site. Here's their reply:

"The website does not use our access managment system. As such we can not test the access to the site. We have e-mailed the website on your behalf regarding the issue. If you do not recieve any correspondence from the website please contact us back. Please allow 48 hours before following up with us regarding this issue."

After five days, there had still not been any response from SimonScans, so she contacted CCBill and they refunded her money.

Good for CCBill, a very poor show from SimonScans.

The only development since is that all the links on the SimonsFans website still point to a CCBill URL, but when clicked redirect back to SimonScans.com. This is more likely to be down to action from CCBill than SimonScans given their terrible customer support in this case, and the dubious nature of the SimonsFans site.

Wow, what an excellent review! I wouldn't worry about the length; anyone who really wants to know what the site is like should summon enough brain strength and/or patience to read it carefully, because it really gives a thorough description.

Also Simon (assuming he does all the shooting) frequently shoots short depths-of-field, meaning not a lot of the photo is in focus, so focused face but not ass, or focused ass but not face, but not a lot of both if the model is on her back or stomach. Other sites do this but it seemed to be very apparent here for some reason and it can get annoying. Clean sets and proper lighting seemed to used in almost all photos though older shoots seem to have shots thrown in that should have been deleted, like everything is out of focus, a flash didn�t fire, or something else, but for some reason they are there. I also found one little problem that irritated me in some sets; dust on the sensor. This happens in digital photography in between lens changes when dust gets on the camera�s image sensor and shows up in every photo (usually in the same exact place) until cleaned off. It sounds insignificant but to me it just seems unprofessional when everything else is done professionally (lighting, sets, verifying the model�s age).

If your looking for videos you should keep looking as a lot of models have none and those that do may only have two or three, but not one for every photoset. Older videos are smaller, around 480 x 360 .mpgs @700kb/s, but again not in great quantity so don�t get your hopes up. Not once did I ever hear or see Simon or any other male help for that matter, so it makes for a lesson in restraint to all the hands-on two cents-adding douches out there who want to ruin my video, uh, �experience.� The girls are often shy and quiet too, and since they claim the orgasms are never forced none of the models really get that vocal or overly physical when masturbating but they seemed happy and I wasn�t complaining.

If SS really get their act together and release bigger photos with the links improved and videos for every model then they can get a score in the 80s, but until then members will have to put up with the relative narrow reach of their current and fully archived content; almost entirely solo girls (girl-girl is rare), many of them amateur, armed with lots of toys.

Just to second Drooler's opinion here, yes the majority of the models start off clothed, though getting naked with a toy at the ready can be done pretty quickly. The videos don't waste a lot a time and many of them (of what videos there are) start naked.

Overall you see plenty of lingerie and clothing before the 'real' action starts.

Second day this is happening to me. Blocked after downloading around 400mb. No response when I e-mailed customer support even after waiting 3 days. I think this site is serious about excessive usage without giving us any information regarding this.

It's err, complicated.

1 We're based in the UK so have to charge our sales tax (VAT) - currently its 15%, though its only just recently changed from 17.5%. - but we only have to charge it surfers from within the EU.

USA and the rest of the world - no VAT

2 There's no system in place with any billing company (that we've ever found!) to correctly account for VAT when paying out to affiliates.

You may or may not know about the affiliate payout system, so here's the skinny; We pay other webmasters to promote our sites, and it's the industry standard of 50% of the headline signup cost.

So, to keep things simple we ALWAYS pay the full 50% regardless of surfer location. This means we make a lot less on some surfers than others! Worst case from the full 100% we loose 50% affiliate payout, 17.5% VAT, 10% creditcard processing fee - which leaves us with 22.5% of the original signup fee.

In essence we charge more in the EU as our costs are higher, simply because of the VAT.

The "extra" money charged ends up mostly in the hands of the government as VAT, either directly, or because we have in effect covered the VAT costs for the affiliates half of the transaction. Very little extra ends up in my helicopter/yacht fund!

Sorry, that's just not true. We shot long sets, we have sets where the tease portion alone is longer than the entire set on other sites. - Plus our girls end up doing the porn!

But tease isn't what we're about, and I won't even begin to apologise for shooting porn that's rude.

New models never really get the tease thing anyway, they're often not that good at it, but bored old old pros, they can drag out taking their pants down for 2 hours while making it look "real".

Just rejoined the site after a few months to update my pics collection from this site. I downloaded around 550mb (did it in around 10 minutes with my 24mbps connection and Flashget download manager) and I have been blocked access for the next 12-24 hours stating excessive usage!

This is goddamn cheating! Nowhere does it say in the site that you have only limited downloads in a day and how much the limit is. This has never been a problem with this site before.

You pay $30 and this is the crap you get. Not worth ever joining again or keeping membership even if the site is good.

Maybe its just me, but I think any site that charges over 19.95 better be organized and top notch access. I just joined a site i reviewed a week or so ago paid 29.00 for crap. The site may be good in your review but I am getting tired of these sites taking money and not doing maintenance, after awhile as you said in you review it will domino and a small problem becomes a nightmare.

Got an e-mail finally from customer service telling me that if I can't get to a movie in the model page to use the links on the model index. These of course are the links that do not work, at all, for any model, and are the main reason I contacted them in the first place. Way to go customer service with your solution, maybe this is why there are so many problems in the first place.

No word from customer service on the problems. Over the last few days I have found yet more problems as well. More model's that are link dead to their page, and also videos that are wrongly linked. Meaning, you download a video and it ends up being a different vid than what it's supposed to be.

Just joined this site and initially I was thrilled. I'll write a full review in a week or so, but wanted to list some pretty substantial problems I'm running across right away:

So in the members area you can look at content in a few different ways, and I chose to start by just looking at the basic model directory and start with the A's. So in the model directory you can have it show as basic (just a thumbnail pic and name to represent a model) or the "full view", which shows her pic, has some basic info, and also lists all the sets that she is in, both pic and movie. Also, from this area where it lists all the sets you can click the set number which is a link to that set (either pic or video). Now, EVERY link to movies is dead on the model directory page. So, no big deal right, I'll just go to the model's actual page and get to it there. WRONG. Some models "model page" has their vids, some do not. Hell, some models "model page" doesn't even have all their pic sets, and you have to get to those through the model directory I already mentioned. Thankfully, all the links to the pic sets work from the model directory, but like I said before, NONE of the links to the movies do. This is especially frustrating since the site is already low on vids compared to pics, and some of the girls I want to see their videos!

I contacted their customer service with a detailed description of the problem, and we'll see what happens. I will reply to this comment with updates.

I contacted AllOver30 today and they replied within a few hours time - when I've send my mail it must have been night time for them. I can now tell you that they start business early in the morning :-).

As soon as I stated that there was an issue with the price appearing in � they asked me to give them more details and less then an hour later I was asked to double-check if I see the price in $ again!

They told me that even though they did not want to have the "regional" or "optimal pricing option" enabled there was a problem with European pricing which has been resolved today.

I'm quite happy because I was shocked to see a site that I trust so much in has this enabled on their join page.

Oh, and b.t.w. I don't get paid by them nor do I get any other benefits. It's just that I like this site a lot and especially some of the ladies they have to offer :-)
