How did you feel about the huge watermarks, xexbot? I just got finished with four of Ferro's sites and found them (the logos) so offensive that I deleted everything I had downloaded only yesterday. Just wondering if they are really that big of a deal to others. Good review, though, while technical details are sparse you did sum up nicely what Ferro is all about.

You can join a lot of the individual sites for a 7.95 trial offer. That's what I did. I took one look at one site and said "Hell yeah I'll take the rest!" Anyway, if you join just one site, they have a different kind of loyalty program. You get to pick one bonus site, then if you stick around for a month you get to add another bonus site. Of course, by this time you're paying the thirty dollar a month charge, but you have to give them props for creating incentives. If you just want to see a couple join one with the trial and pick a different kind of site for the bonus and see what you think.

I'm a bit more egalitarian about nylons. I absolutely agree with everything you say about the allure of stockingtops and suspenders - although I enjoy porn, my first love is pinup, and if you look up eg photographer Viva Van Story and model Mosh, you'll see what I mean.

But... I also think pantyhose are a very different, but exciting kind of tease; when worn with no panties, the sheerness both hides and shows what's underneath - and specifically when a model is unshaved, I find that very appealing.

I carry a huge grudge when it comes to pantyhose (tights), otoh. I rejoiced when the mini skirts came out: `wow, now it will be even easier to see the tops of the stockings and those lovely thighs above them, bisected by the straps of the garter belt (drool) .... and then some idiot decides to invent pantyhose in order to make the mini skirts look more modest and to make sure that nothing WOULD ever show.

It`s understandable, of course, after all who wants to go around with the tops of their nylons showing, but that man or woman who invented those abominations destroyed a dream. No, I will never forgive! :-)

Further to your last reply, I'm a bit more lenient with nylons, I like both tights and stockings, but as a bit of a pin-up and retro fan there's no denying the allure of stockings, suspenders, girdles and the like (and I'm not even fifty!). But just a shame that the videos here don't have much tease - that's surely what this kind of thing is about.

I would personally steer clear of them, otoh. The set-up is too primitive and the watermarks rob me of any joy in their videos. Still haven't received a reply re. "why couldn't I download the zipped picture sets," so that too counts against Ferro.

Talking about nylon-themed sites. Modern times mess me up here because my heart goes pitter patter when I see "nylons" and then find mainly pantyhose (tights). The definition of nylons must have changed dramatically over the years. Talking about nylon in general I much prefer it to cotton which absolutely turns me off to this day. I got used to shaved but never to cotton, or to thongs for that matter! :-)

It could be for different reasons or maybe not, Denner.

I've been tempted to re-subscribe to the site for months but a) I find most of their models too young looking for my taste, and b) they forget to bring lingerie to most of their shoots which makes most updates too dull for me. I simply do not appreciate nudity right from page one. It has to be more gradual for me.

I find this the case with all of the photo sites I've subscribed to lately. People must be collecting models, rather than models plus what they wear. Therefore one set appears the same as those that came before and those who will follow. Same basic three, four pieces of clothing, same poses, same everything ... yawn.

The only thing that might help them is that they were so much more expensive than most other network then they must have accumulated a lot of floating cash which might help them true the lean times. I cannot believe that their overhead cost are more than any other porn company so by default they should have more money. Of course being so expensive may also limit their number of members and therefore that means less money coming in.

I can't say that I'd be sad seeing this network die because I didn't particularly enjoy their content but the fact that people will lose their job tempers my feelings. I don't wish anyone to lose their job. Especially in these economic times.

No search engine, awkward and difficult navigation between picture and video, non-responsive support, skimpy updates!! I wrote to them a couple of days ago about my difficulty in downloading zipped picture sets and have yet to hear from them. That's NOT service, that's a company who no longer cares and will just milk the dying cash cow until it finally dries up.

I hear you. I joined the full network and downloaded maybe 2 dozen videos and I have none left on file because I deleted them all. I'm actually surprised that they are still in business with such a high costing membership. There are so many better networks with a lower membership cost that are suffering that Ferro should be in dire financial trouble. Just look at teen core club who charges 50$ for their network access and they are in deep trouble at the moment. The number of updates keeps dropping and that's after they stopped updating many of their key sites and added a lot of leased content.

I guess Ferro hasn't finished updating their network because I'm told that they should soon have a search option since this was a common complaint of most of their members.

Hi Pat, I would never subscribe to their whole network because, I too, find it way too expensive. I figured if I joined Stunning Matures for a month and got four bonus sites during that month it wouldn't be too bad of a deal. As to their search function, some of their sites might have one but I have yet to discover it on the two sites I have at present. I am generally very disillusioned already because I am an anal person and cannot get past those huge watermarks. I basically downloaded, took a quick look, and deleted all the material because all I could see was those monstrosities!

... I just want to point out that this site's water marks are preposterously, irritatingly, monstrously huge. There is a big solid one, an inch-and-a-half high and four inches wide on the bottom right (all measurements are rough guesses) and another big but transparent one on the top left! Talk about overkill. If you hate huge water marks as much as I do, be forewarned.

I just received this site as a bonus when I subscribed to another site of the Ferro Network. Just want to warn all the haters of big water marks that the videos here have huge ones. There is one that takes up most of the lower right hand corner and another, more transparent, on the upper left. Talk about overkill!

However, DVD-Quality can't be considered "excellent" or "superb" quality nowadays. While it may work well with your laptop screen, people using larger screens capable of displaying 1080p resolutions might experience the quality way below of what they expect.
Most helpful would be, just to mention the resolution of the videos and maybe the applied bitrate, so everyone could decide to see if the quality meets their standard.

Video resolution is greater than what you were asking about. It also seems to have been filmed in hi-def of some sort. I have an 18" monitor on my laptop. I can enlarge the movie to fit the full screen and there is no loss in quality. I would not say that its Blu-Ray quality, but defiantly DVD quality.
There is nothing more frustrating than downloading a movie and its only a little box on your monitor, and if you try to enlarge it, it pixelates terribly. No such worries with movies on Ferro. Very high quality.
I downloaded over 200 videos and had not a problem at all.

Hey pat362. I went into the file I'm using to hold my downloaded photos and randomly selected 4 photos. The results are as follows: Photo 1 - width 1000, height 1505. Photo 2 - width 1500, height 2258. Photo 3 - width 1505, height 1000. Photo 4 - width 1000, height 1504.

Video resolution is superb. Yes, some video shoots are split into 3-4 parts, but that is the exception rather than the rule. Split videos are less than 2-3%.

Don't you think your score of 79 is very high for what appears to be at best a mediocre site? Is your score because you only paid 8$ for the trial access? Is it possible that Ferro has altered the trial access where you can't download the videos? I know TBP says it's a full access trial but I'm a video guy so not being able to download videos or play them would be a deal killer.

I was a member of Ferro's network last year I was unable to find more than a couple of videos that were worth downloading and I didn't save any of them because they were boring with very little passion or heat. not too mention that navigation is hellish and there is not info on any of the models.

This is one of those sites that's hard to classify. Since this is part of Ferro's network than you can forget getting a lot of info on content but based on what I could find then it's basically women using strapons on men. This is truly a niche market because I don't think most gay men want to watch a woman with a man and straight men don't really want to watch a woman do that to a man.

The good news is that Ferros content is not very good and way, way too expensive so I would highly recommend you avoid any and all of their sites. I joined the network and took the bullet so that no one else would have to.

All Ferro's lesbian oriented sites are some of my favorites, sexy girls, the sex action goes from good to excellent, the video picture quality is superb HD, fast download, constantly updated, decent camera work with steady camera (not that annoying moving camera ). But.....life's not perfect, the videos are a little too short ( from 12 to 17 minutes) and some girls and women are over used. With a little more variate cast and videos near 25 or 30 minutes long, these lesbian sites would be sensational, and I wouldn't mind paying an extra five dollars more per month. I hope they're listening.

I agree that they won't get accused of coming up with an original scenario. I think that some of the scenarios might have been more interesting if I understood some Russian but not by much. I think I downloaded about 20 to 30 videos but I haven't watched many yet so the jury is still out on whether any make the cut.

The one thing that they have is that I don't recognize most of their models so it's quite possible that most are exclusive to this network. I know that many of them have more than one video and on more than one site.

Just a short remark agreeing with you re. language. This is not of major importance to me either, because I too prefer it to deafening silence, so the Russian by itself wasn't half as bothersome as the Russian along with a very predictable story line. I don't think I kept a single video.

I'm easy going when it comes to language because I'd rather hear a Foreign language spoken than nothing at all so the Russian wasn't a problem. There is a lot of content but it's so hard to get and time consumming that it's almost not worth bothering. Once you add the awful navigation then you have a mess of a network.

There's so much work involve in fixing what's wrong with the network that I don't think they'll be able to do it and that's of course if they feel they should. All I hope with this review is that no one else waste their money on this network.

Hey, Pat, your 62 is well deserved. I subscribed, not to the network, but to one of their other sites (Lesbians kissing, or some such thing) and was deeply disappointed. The technical quality was there but the videos themselves were in Russian and mostly cookie cutter and therefore extremely boring.

The two bonus sites I got within a short time of subscribing were older - younger themed but were a farce because one could never tell who was the older and who was the younger, sort of defeats the purpose and fantasy of the whole thing. :-) Good review, sorry about your disappointment.

I don't think you're ever going to get anyone in Europe to agree that regional pricing is a good thing. Of course if a site is priced in Euros anybody joining from the US is going to love regional pricing because they will be saving $$$. What annoys me more is the blatant false advertising, I recently went to join Querro where on the home page they advertise "sign up now for $19.95" but when i click on join from the UK the price changes to around $24...just a blatant con in my opinion so needless to say i didn't bother.
