Babelicious - updates

There belongs Babes-TV to this site. The last updates since beginning of this year 2011 are from Babes-TV. They repeat the photosets, how far I can see. Maybe that the resolution is sometimes 2000 instead of 1000. I had a one-year subscription and I was disappointed about these updates, especially, if you compare the updates before. There was also a notice on the top of the member-site: this site is for sale...

Well using their search engine i was able to establish that out of 376 videos there are 123 B/G hardcore, 55 Lesbian and and 198 solo. In the photos section 360 B/G hardcore, 338 lesbian and 1969 solo.

Hi PP, yes you've correctly answered your own question here in that none of the bonus sites are updating, that also includes the extra movie sites that i've not reviewed Wild On x, Babes on Film, POV XXX, and Cummin At Ya where none of the content is dated so i can't give any indication as to how long since the last updates and the last site Be The Mask lists their last update as May 2009.

Yes, to answer your question, that error report is still there. FWIW, I missed it the first time I looked too.

If you look at the TBP Review page:

So you know, I'm checking w/ other staffers to see if we can't get that statement about the bonus sites updated. I'll let you know what I find.

That error report/comment is what I was referring to. Is it still there? I checked yesterday and just now as well and didn't see it, thought it had been discarded.

I'm glad it's still there - proved accurate now, I believe, by the new reviews here of all of the bonus sites, which have been confirmed as dead - no longer updating for months - or years, in a number of cases.

Are any of the Bonus Sites updating at all?

The most recent TBP review claimed that more than one bonus site was updating - I sent a note suggesting that they re-check that since some of the sites - such as SexyBabes.tv are obviously not updating as can be seen by the stated dates of last updates and during my last visit, I know for sure that none were updating.

Interestingly, there was no response that I can see to my note on the TBP review. That note is no longer showing and the review hasn't been updated.

Actually, the answer to my question is in the fact that you reviewed all of the other sites in the network, none of which are updating - that's what I thought, so the TBP review is incorrect. It's strange that they just took down my comment and didn't correct their review.

Subscribed here a few days ago but haven't been able to get into the members area for the last 2 or 3 hours, it keeps coming up with a page which says "Can't connect to my SQL server...too many connections" Same with Babes.tv and the Sexy Babes site but i can get into the crappy sites like Dream Babes and Eurobabez. Anyone else having same problems or know what that message means?

OK, I need to edit my response, because when I tried further navigation in the Babes.tv archive, it crapped out 3/4 of the time - so I would say that that Babes.tv archives are there - but the navigation sucks and you might have to try multiple times to actually look at what you want to look at.

Babelicious does not license from InFocusGirls , I-F-G is all exclusive material. But both these sites buy works from some of the same contributing photographers.

Since I had never been a member of BeTheMask.com and their other separate sites, I thought it could be worth it.

IE caused a colossal bummer - I logged in with my new member info - instantly received a "Your Account Is Blocked" message - I hate that! Nick couldn't fix the problem today - this evening I got a prod to download the updated version of Firefox - did so - tried logging into their site using my new log-in info in Firefox - no problem - IE - You suck! Firefox - it works - working is good.

The news is that Babelicious is now THE single site being updated. They promise new exclusive material coming up and that's really needed. While they are now posting photosets with 3 sizes - with the largest 4000 X 2567 - it's really un-distinctive material photoshopped by somebody that was wearing a blindfold, apparently. The newest Anita Pearl vid posted the other day looks like it was licensed from InFocusGirls - looks like the location they use to me.

So they have one site to focus on now, and I wish them well and hope they have some exciting exclusive material - shit, they were able to do very cool material with Babes.tv not that long ago, so here's hoping!

I don't know how good this news is, though. I was going through the Babes.tv visitor's area for pics and they have only 1000 px images! At least as far as I could tell. Even when there's a 2000 px "option" there's no active link, so I can't tell if that's just the demo or that's how it is in the real site.

I was a member of SexyBabes for several years and got Babelicious when it was introduced. I'm a video guy and, because SexyBabes had a long history of excellent video offerings, I stuck with it until I finally gave up waiting for the quality to return to both SexyBabes and Babelicious.

Personally, I download the vids that I like and watch them that way.

I recommend going to 1 site that you can concentrate your energies on.

One of the big problems now is that none of the sites have any individual personality, which makes them more boring than they would be if there were just 1 site.

That's my feeling anyway.

You've always been a good guy in your interactions here, Nick. I definitely wish you the best in bringing your sites - or at least 1 - back into the kind of quality that I used to enjoy. It's a challenging economic environment for sure.

Hi Im still here.. I wont go into too much detail but the last year or so for me personally have been very difficult, coupled with the fact that the industry is in decline, Ive struggled with the sites.

I dont have any staff with me now at all and I am on my own trying to do everything. I really want to get Babelicious back to how it was. I do admit that the quality isn't what it used to be. At the start of the new year I am going to try and bring it back to its former glory, including adding all the larger sizes that have been missing for a while (through no fault of my own, but the british customs (but thats another story!).

In hindsight I wish I just had one site to look after, and put all my efforts into that site... I think I launched too many and couldn't give them the care and attention they deserved. In the last year I have stopped updating Dreambabes, Eurobabes, BabesUK and I dont want anymore to suffer the same fate. (although they have tonnes of content there and well worth visiting still)

Well I guess this out of the norm to tell you guys how it is, but im an honest guy and would rather tell the truth than make excuses. Im not a huge company, its just me :D

Please support me as best you can. I will start to get Babelicious some hot new content and get it back to where it was.. thats my promise for 2010 :D

BTW.. I did get all the videos encoded into flash, which makes it much easier to watch.. did you guys like that?

Earlier this month, I got one of their emails to rejoin for $10 per month, so I did, expecting the usual photo sizes of at least 2000px, and often 3-4000px.

But for the past several weeks, most of the stuff posted has been a pitiful 1000px and no larger.

So I've cancelled and that's that. I don't know why they've decided to go this route, but it's a huge mistake if you ask me.

This used to be a favorite site of mine. I'd given it a very positive review. Oh, well. I'm out $10.

Now they're left to just screw themselves. They're already off to a great start.

Check out the photoset posted at SexyBabes.tv yesterday - posted in a larger size 2 days earlier by Twisty's

So the people that SexyBabes.tv had only 1 resolution available to them but they made a higher resolution set available to Twisty's?

I doubt it.

I think that the people that run these sites just don't care to spend the extra money to make sets available in multiple resolutions anymore. I don't think they care about much at all in regard to these sites anymore.

I suppose I have a different view on this site because I keep one of those emails saved that give access to their sites at $10/month. For that price, 90 updates in that month, not that bad of a deal (talking updates on all sites combined). A few months ago they put up some new photosets with a favorite girl of mine, some sets that have never been anywhere else, and I was glad to sign up and download them.

They could have gone the way of so many other sites and stopped updating completely. So they have to get credit there. They show all the available updates in the preview pages, so sign up when you see something you like, let them be when there are no updates you like.

The recent photos at 1000px, might be that's the only resolution they got from the photographer who sold them the sets. Who knows? Better they are out there than nothing at all. If you don't want them, then don't buy them. But someone else out there may love those girls and want the updates they do still put out.

Yeah - look at Babes.tv before and after the re-design.

Before the re-design, their updates had a definite personality. They were either glamour with a particularly debauched feel to them or gritty, like their awesome Jade Hsu updates - way past her prime, but still compelling and very sexy.

How Little Does This Site Care?

I've been banging on Babelicious, so I may as well start bashing the mother ship - it's interesting looking through the comments in PU to see the warnings about their secondary sites shutting down with the webmaster quickly saying "Oh, no - that's not happening."

Well, not only did it happen, but their only updates can be found much better elsewhere earlier posted by their main competition.

The only photo update at Sexybabes.tv yesterday was Samantha Ryan's "blue" set - available at 1 size only. This same set was posted as one of 3 photo sets 2 days earlier by Twisty's in a larger size.

How clueless do you have to be to be posting material that's redundant of your competition, put it out later, and put it out in an inferior quality. Plus you have to come up with your own names for each individual pic that you want to save at SexyBabes.tv since they give them such distinctive names as 001, 002, etc.

They can't be bothered doing anything more than licensing the crap and slapping it onto the site.

And they've stopped updating Dreambabes.com, Eurobabes.com, etc - while leaving on the SexyBabes.tv "Bonus Sites" page that "Many of these sites are updated daily while others are updated once per week." DB and EB were both sites that had updates that had a different personality than SexyBabes.tv - and that's what's gone completely from these sites is any hint of personality or any indication that there is anybody in the company running these sites that's doing anything other than telling the company that they're licensing from - send us this many photo-sets this often - and then posting them.

I disagree with the comparison with Nubiles. I know that you don't like the direction that they have gone. I actually think that Nubiles are putting up a lot of good stuff and they clearly care about what they are doing - they're not running their site on auto-pilot as these people clearly are doing.

What I mean is that I see now that most of the pics in Babelicious and Sexy-Babes from the start of this month are now only available at 1000 px! What in the name of fuck do they think they're doing? Regressing back to 1999?

They might as well keep the site up but forget the updates. Who the hell wants images that small these days? The same shit can be found in a variety of larger sizes at a number of sites.

It really is an astoundingly stupid move on their part.

You can work to a niche or formula without it getting tired, but the creative effort put in has to be there.

Babelicious really has gone the way of way-dull, formula-driven strip and toy play sites, just as Nubiles and Karupspc have. All used to be better sites in terms of interesting content, even though they've done redesigns and upped their server speeds and image and video sizes.

They're kind of analogous to rock bands that had strong fan bases until they sold out to gain mass appeal and from then on just churned out one mediocre piece of work after another, stuff that all sounds the same. And the disappointed fans complain!

But I wouldn't want any of these sites to shut down. They all have enormous archives of good stuff, still there to be enjoyed.

I'm reminded of Samuel Jackson's comment to Robert DeNiro in Jackie Brown - "What happened to you? You used to be beautiful!"

Babelicious used to be hot when it first opened - great photosets in high res - multiple sizes, not too much photo-shopping, SexyBabes.tv had some nice stuff usually. And when I joined their related site Babes.tv, I found it to have a unique personality, kind of gritty.

Now, the whole group of them are same-old, same-old, licensed seen-it-all-before crap photoshoots, photo-shopped pics done with no taste whatsoever, there's no personality, there's nothing distinctive, it's just blaaaaahhhh crap.

If I were reviewing this site now, I'd give it a zzzzzzz

Whoever runs these sites stopped caring a long while ago - and so should discriminating porn fans.

Close it up - ain't nothing happening here at all!
