A few points

Since I'm currently on the site, I was going to do a review until I saw exotic's exceptional wrap up. Instead of mirroring just about everything he said, I'll just add a couple of things as I see 'em.

I agree with everything he said except about the video quality. With maybe a few exceptions, where the camera work is less than ideal, you have to go back to somewhere to late 2009 to get to the lower quality, lower resolution video. Even if you want to avoid the older stuff, that means there's still enough higher resolution material to make a sign-up worthwhile. I'm more than happy with the picture quality of the 1280 resolution mp4s that I download, even on a 40 inch monitor.

The picture quality is another story. I get the feeling that there's very little reviewing of pictures before they're put online. Even in the newer sets, there are more than enough out of focus shots and oddities like what I'd call "mid-blink facial contortions" to make this a disappointment to picture fans.

The biggest complaint I have about this site has to do with the updates. It's a masturbation site and that's what I expect to see when I sign up. As an example, the updates from January 3rd to the 6th were, in order, a non-nude interview, a text biography, a 35-second face only clip, and a 9-picture non-nude picture set. Looking back through December's updates, there were 11 that were either interviews or biographies. That's a third of a month's membership.

OK - Even though I'm not a fan of non-nude content, I can accept that there are people who can appreciate interviews. But, the biographies? Yeah, some of the stuff the women put up was interesting, and I was positively thrilled to find out how many models had barely intelligible handwriting and couldn't spell worth a damn. "The vibrator is the best, it is a way better organism." But, on every other site with personal information like that, it's either a link on a model's page or printed directly on her page. I just don't see nineteen questions spread out over four pages qualifying as update material.

It's still all about the amateurs to me, so I still like the site, despite the shortcomings. I'd rate it in the high 80s. The piercings and tattoos aren't TOO overbearing, and silicone is rare here. I just wish I could get more out of a month's membership. The bios and interviews just mean I have to wait a little while longer to sign up again as the REAL content builds up.

I do believe I made an error on my first ticket. I submitted a second one and you replied to it in less than a day, so the cancel went through. I will edit the original comment here to say that the problem was resolved. As I was saying above, the last thing I wanted to do was give you all negative, undeserved feedback based on something that wasn't your site's fault, but on the other hand, I try to give our members here a heads up of any potential problems in case they then run into them too. It's always appreciated by most of our members here to see a webmaster doing their best, like you have here, to be active with your members and helpful. Thanks again.

I do understand that problems like this will happen and I'm fairly well-known around this site for being really laid-back and easygoing. I'm not going to be one of those customers that panics and goes into a cussing frenzy, though it probably would humor the members here!

As I told the others above, I believe you all are a honest company and honest mistakes happen. I do see where the cancel page for netbilling customers has been changed to send potential canceling customers to a support ticket system, but I opened a ticket, estimating around 32 hours ago, still haven't received a ticket number so I can't check the status of the ticket and don't have any type of cancel confirmation. At this point, I feel like I'm being the annoying one since I'm accepting that maybe I did something wrong in the opening a support ticket part. It's entirely possible that I used my work email instead of my personal email address in opening the support ticket. Though the account is registered to my personal email address.

I'll blame those damn auto-fill in the blanks settings on that since my wife and I both use the computer and four possible emails pop up when I come upon an area to fill in email.

So my question now is, should I open another ticket just in case I did use the wrong email? That's me trying to be respectful of your staff by not opening more than one support ticket. It did hit me though that it's possible I could have clicked on the wrong email address. And thanks for the fast reply and working on this issue. It says more for your site's support than the majority of sites these days.

The worst part, I've sent the email/support ticket, but still haven't gotten it canceled or any confirmation of it. I don't understand these sites either. I know that it costs them more to have the top billers, but like with this site, they have ccbill and epoch listed, why not just let everyone join through those? Would make it much easier for us customers. I'm still holding onto the fact that I believe this site is a reputable one and we're just having crossed-up communication, tech problems maybe with their site, etc...

Heck, at this rate, I can probably cook a meal, eat it, sleep, go to work, take a weekend getaway and it will be still be trying to cancel! I really hate to be this negative with a site that seems to work hard on delivering what they promise their site has, but it's getting harder by the day.

Getting ready to reply to their webmaster below because I opened a support ticket on Monday morning. The cancel option takes you directly to the open a support ticket area now, but here it is 5 PM EST on Tuesday and I have yet to receive a ticket #, check both email inbox and spam box. This ticket # is required to access their reply to my ticket. The only thing that's stopping me from being too infuriated is that the subscription still has 10-11 days on it, so surely they will get something worked out by then. If the problem persists the scoring will continue to go down.

Had the same problem at latexperiment.com. I enrolled with the 2CO (2checkout.com) credit card processor (never heard of it before) and then noticed that there was no cancelling option. Had to write an email with "...please cancel my subscription..." to the support in order to get cancelled. Hard to understand such a policy.

We go to the movies to learn about life, and life's little lessons.
But sometimes those lessons turn out to be fantasy.

So look on the bright side: you were able to take out the garbage while trying to cancel your membership.

I used to be able to do multi-tasking as well, until old age caught up with me. I get stuck watching the working spinner on my laptop like I'm hypnotized or something, until I get the usual message that the connection has timed out.

Your site review was interesting. The site contents don't appeal to me, but I did enjoy reading your review.

And your comment on the problem with cancelling your membership has a nice, readable style, that I have tried for, but rarely achieve, in my own writing.

In my opinion, I would take off more than a few points for this cancellation snafu. The frustration of spending 3 days trying to cancel should drop the site score by 10 points or more. I don't handle frustration well, and this would really be a major downgrade for the site experience, in spite of however nice the contents are. But that's just me.

Edit: Just wanted to edit to say the webmaster helped me get canceled, but will leave the rest of the comment in case it happens to a future member so they can reference it.

Going to take a few points off my review for the frustrating cancellation process. Here's the steps and mind you, I still have NOT been able to cancel my account.

First, they have four different billing processors, netbilling, ccbill, epoch and netcash. I don't know if certain ones are used based on the country you are in, but my account was processed by netbilling, who I have used a time or two in the past.

In my subscription confirmation email there is no link to cancel. I go to netbilling's homepage, have a member ID, but there is nowhere on netbilling's homepage to cancel. Went to Yanks support, clicked "cancel" it asked which biller I used. Clicked on netbilling. It tells me to put my username and password in. I do this and click "cancel account".

Well, the browser sits there with a working spinner going, "Connecting..." I go outside, take the trash out, come back and still is working and saying, "connecting". It finally pops up and says, "Cannot find account". I'll never understand why a biller gives a customer a "member ID number" but doesn't have a place to enter that when canceling.

I'll never understand why a site would hire a biller that doesn't allow direct cancel on the biller's homepage. You're just asking for dissatisfied customers.

And this is not just a one-time thing. I've tried it 3 nights in a row. There is an option to email the site's support with any cancellation problems, so I guess I'm going to have to do that. Whether fast reply or not, I don't think I should have to email the site to cancel when they have a cancellation system in place. It goes back to, I didn't have to email the site to JOIN the site so why should I have to email the site to cancel it? Go back to my review and see the part about my main frustration with the site itself being that it could be much better than it is if some time and effort was put into updating the way the site itself works. Looks like that carried right over into the billing too.

And here I was thinking I would never use 5,000 character limit, but ended up cutting a line or two out just to fit everything in. I at least wanted to get something up for anyone that maybe wants to try it out. The expired reviews seemed to be before they merged their sites together so it made a huge difference in the amount of content.

The male site worked for me since my wife likes porn too, but not the real hardcore sets. She did say the videos she watched were okay, but said the camera was too far away in them, in her words, "making the dicks all look tiny". I think from reading the forum on their site that's kind of what they were aiming for by having a male and female site. A few sites have tried this in the past that I can remember. Though I do want to mention that I still don't know what all I have access to. Things become really confusing once away from the Yanks main site since they list "our sites" but have a "join" page on them. It could just be that the sites are older in design and require a join verification instead of going straight to them, but it's confusing nonetheless.

Hey GCode, got good news, bad news and more good news. The good news is, I was a member here about a year ago and the content was better than I Feel Myself, in the sense that it was more pornographic, but kept the real, erotic feel. The bad news, I was only on it for 3-4 days before we moved and ended up not really digging into the site. Also don't think it came with the other sites it does now. This site seems comparative to "I Feel Myself" but a main difference IMHO is the type of girl showcased. This site seems to cater to the regular, next door type while I Feel Myself tended to show more 'Hipster' girls and I think European or Australian (I don't remember clearly). Looking at the listing for Yanks.com, I'm not seeing any mention of access to multiple sites. Be aware that just because a company has multiple sites listed, that does not mean all those sites are in a netwwork.

What you might be getting confused about is there is also a listing for a Yanks Mega site:

I'm not thrilled with leaving something open like this, but there really is no way for me to prove what happened with the rebilling. After letting it fill up to over 1,000 emails, I finally cleaned my mailbox out, so I can't point to the exact date I cancelled my subscription. But I do know it had been cancelled within the first month - I think I've only allowed one or two rebills in all the years I've been surfin' the porn sites. If I wouldn't be charged for it, I guess I could get statements from the past couple of years but I don't even remember the dates involved. All I recall is looking at a statement one day and saying "What the hell...?"

As far as the login problem, I don't know what to say to that either. I guess I've always figured that, with everything else working as well as it can on a WinDoze platform, being denied access to a site can't be a problem on this end.

Well, I respectfully disagree. As we all use high risk merchant accounts we are held to a chargeback standard much more conservative then a retail store. I don't know a company around who won't refund a LEGIT complaint rather then fight a chargeback. I do think that charging back has it's place, but it's certainly not the only form of customer service we understand.

Hello RagingBuddhist, I am not sure what happened in this. Due to hackers and password sharing programs we are forced to do ALOT of password security and it sounds like something went haywire. As for the first comment I can also assure that the cancellation was not just ignored. Our processors all have a cancellation process that asks you more then once for cancellation. Since I wasn't there I certainly cannot say that you cancelled incorrectly, however I can say with certainty that there was NOTHING malicious on our end to prevent it. Shoot me an email and we can make sure you get enough porn for the cash you spend and we can go from there.

That score seems very low for what you said in your review. Are you sure you meant to give us that low of a score? Typos do happen.

I think the fact that its been a thriving community for as long as it has says all that needs to be said really. Reputation especially in todays market is really not heard of too much and we retain for not months but years.

Their is a primarily gay focus at the site this is true, however it has many straight people too. There are valuable connection and personal sections as well as a thriving forum and user pics. That means you see hundreds of real not staged - real action. And there is literally years of erotic story additions to read. Its a great all around site. Unless you are homophobic!

This part I think I can help with.

To email another user, be they registered user, a webmaster or staff, you should be able to click their name to bring up their profile page. From there you should see a link to, "Email ___" that has the users name.

It really sounds like most issues I ran into were due to the site changing ownership. But I did make one error - the video quality is very good, I went back and double checked the videos I downloaded (640x480) and I apologize for this error. I will correct this fact in my review as soon as I finish this reply.

On the price, with your discount of $10 for TBP members, that is an outstanding price. I just felt that $30 was too much compared to other $30 sites I've joined (I'd be happy to provide a list if you're interested). Thank you for offering this discount to everyone, that is extremely generous and more than fair.

Lastly, on the cancellation issue, I certainly don't want to argue with you. While I did not keep detailed records, I verified that I signed up on 11/21/06 (according to my bank statement). To the best of my knowledge, I cancelled around 12/14, and could no longer access the site after about 12/16. I believe these dates to be accurate because I joined another site right after yours (after access was denied) and that site join was on 12/18.

I certainly am not implying there was anything "vindictive" about cancelling, likely it was an error (perhaps due to the new site getting revved up?).

Anyway, I am interested in moving forward and checking out the new site. Please send me details on how I can directly email you.

Hello IKnoPorn, Thanks for making a comment about the site and I apologize for your disappointment. I want to respond to your comments and also highlight the adjustments we have made after reading them. First, thanks for noticing the ownership change and your compliment of Yanks.com in the process. The change of ownership is the sole reason for most the problems you had and we are working on them as quickly as we can. Here are my responses:

(way too expensive for what you get) After the ownership change we had to dump many girls due to U.S. government regulations. Now although there are sites with more content for the same price, Yanks.com for example, there are also sites with far less. So from a business standpoint we left the price the same. I have however fixed this for all TBP users. The price is now $9.95 a month for life from this site. (Infrequent updates) I took a look and there was one update missed during our time with the site. So it was a mistake and nothing more. I apologize
(No zip downloads of photos) This is something we simply don�t do. You CAN download any content you find on the site, I simply don�t feel the need to offer an express lane to do it. If you worked on this side of the business you would understand why that is and probably do the same.
(Video quality could be better) Video quality can always be better, however we encode our videos for the average user worldwide, not the average user with a fast connection and a fast system. We are however very conscious of when we can encode videos at a higher bit rate and do so as often as possible. They are however above industry standard.

Some positive things we have added after taking over site ownership, that I think should be mentioned

-PSP and iPOD videos of all girls

-A bonus area that has 40 exclusive full length videos from our other sister sites and friends, including Yanks.com, BeautifulAgony.com, IshotMyself.com, SoloGirls.com and others. (this is more content then when we took over)

-access to our always active site wide video chat system

Lastly:
Your Cancellation Problem

I am not calling you a liar, however I will say with 100% certainty you have miscalculated the timing of your initial join and when your membership should have run out. We never would vindictively shorten a customer�s membership. We have dozens of customers joining and cancelling everyday, and we are professional in every one of them. Your quote off our cancellation page was simply misunderstood. Cancellation is immediate, however you are always allowed site access until you time runs out.
