Although I am not into huge watermarks, one should at least take pride in your work and seal. The update pages gives you five tabs of model indexing yet does not highlight any changes. My niece has designed better websites than this. Additionally, I�ve looked at his �site bonuses� but frankly, I do not care to sift through the forgotten garbage.
The only way I�ll ever join again is if it�s offered in a two for one package deal with a site I trust and respect such as Met Art or Femjoy.

I agree, and I've never understood what all of the fuss about Ron Harris' work is. The photo galleries are Warholesque in their similitude and, as you say, the updating is unreliable. Besides, the photos don't look very natural; those who dislike "shopped" pics probably wouldn't care much for it.

I've been a member 2-3 times, and I've always kind of regretted it. It's not all bad, but it's definitely overrated.

One more thing: That watermark. Awful.

Overated

Although Ron Harris may have spent decades photographing some of the most beautiful women in the world, and has numerous awards and accolades under his belt, he cannot seem to post regular updates to his site. I do not understand all the various high mark reviews from various reviewer sites to include TBP. (Don�t get me wrong, I do understand the verbiage for the various porn review sites.) I can only hope Ron Harris Studio will never be the porn site by which all others are judged.
For 29.99, I signed for both Ron Harris Studio and Nubiles on January 09. Since then, neither the update page nor the coming soon page has changed for Ron Harris. I am two-thirds through my membership already! A regular membership price is too lofty for the content available. Finally, someone needs to shut the cameraman up in the videos. Whether soft-core, hard or somewhere in between, beyond interviews, I should never hear the cameraman!

Very disappointed

I just joined this site and am a photo fan. The sets are quite small and photos in the sets are quite repetitive. Like 20 photos of the models face and a fork with a piece of pineapple on it!!! Or, in another set of about 40 pics, nearly 20 feature the models face and a glass dildo! I saw another two sets with the model in a dress with a bouquet of flowers. Nice idea but just 20 pics of this in the set and all with the dress on and with bouquet !?! I am having problems finding pictures I want to view in a set let alone download. "All" of this for 40$ Canadian is outrageous. I have recently been a member of Femjoy, Twisty's, Errotica Archives and In the Crack, all incomparably superior to Ron Harris.

This was one of the first paysites i ever joined back in 2003 and even back then there were big gaps in the update schedule. One of the most disappointing sites i've ever joined. I was tempted to join on a special 2 month deal they had but i was done within 2 weeks and i only had a 512k connection back then..

I've got a few "musts" in regard to pay sites.

One is honest advertising. This site is not honest. Take their tour and they keep repeating "multiple weekly updates" and they have samples of their "Latest updates".

Unfortunately, it's all a lie.

They have one site - Ron Harris Studio - that updates - everything else is archives. The most recent update was on December 14, when they had 1 photoset and 1 backstage video. Prior to that, on December 10, they had 2 videos - so from December 10-14, they had multiple updates, but nothing since December 14, though their "Coming Soon" promises another photoset and backstage vid on December 22nd of the same model updated on December 10th and 14th - and December 22nd has already past, unless my calendar is messed up.

Prior to December 10th, their prior update was back on Nov 22nd - and Nov 8th before that.

So this Multiple Weekly updates stuff - bullshit!

It looks like the update schedule fell off a cliff back at the end of Sept, so they can't even claim that they took the holidays off.

No, they were sexy aerobics vids - but to tell you the truth, having downloaded them when I was a member of this site a long time ago, I would rather watch Met Art vids than Ron Harris' "sexy" aerobics vids - and Met Art vids are the Gold Standard of boring vids.

Unless you really want to see old soft-core stuff - and not the best soft-core stuff that you could find either - I don't recommend joining this site for the crusty old "sexy" aerobics vids.

I was just poking around this site and it mentions the bit rate for the aerobcise videos? Wikipedia says Ron Harris produced aerobics videos for Showtime. These are just regular aerobics videos right? Seems kind of odd that he'd have them available for download if that were the case...

I'm the same way about the same stuff. I hadn't been to RH for over 2.5 years. Quite a lot of content had built up, and the updates come more often than they did when I'd last quit -- in more than a little disgust.

But the glossy, shiny, RH treatment showing maybe 2-3 poses per gallery with a Warholesque monotony doesn't exactly crank my shaft. With some of them, you can actually scroll down 2-3 motions of the mouse wheel and it seems as if time is standing still. And that's not an exaggeration.

MetArt, by vast contrast, is a site I can never stay away from. I've been a current member on their yearly plan at least 3 times if not more. And all for the reasons you point out.

At least RH has one thing going for it: Sets that are too dark aren't too common.

If the two sites are the same price, and you get so much more quantity at the Ron Harris site, I don't know why anyone would join the Kara Duhe if they knew about the Ron Harris site carrying the Kara Duhe photosets.

But like you mention, to be satisfied with a membership at either site, you have to like the Ron Harris style of photography. You mention that a lot of pics are nearly the same pose. What bothers me more is his glossy style of photography. I can get bored with his glossy pictures very fast, for some reason, even though he has some very attractive models. That is why a site like Met-art, with a large number of contributing photographers, is so much easier to appreciate. Met-art has a huge number of attractive models, and the photographers can present them in photos that are worth looking at. Obviously not all photosets will be equally attractive to all viewers, but there is a wide selection of styles where you can find the photosets and models that appeal to you.

I did a bit of fact checking. Currently, according to the TBP review, there are 63 or so photosets at the Kara Duhe site. It's acknowledged in the review that some of the content is also on the Ron Harris site. FYI, there are 96 photosets currently of Kara at Ron Harris.

Seems you'd probably get a better deal by subscribing to Ron Harris, since there's a lot more content of other models, too, and it's the same price via TBP.

But this isn't necessarily a recommendation. You have to like the Ron Harris approach, which can mean a lot of pics of nearly the same pose.

I feel like I just got swindled out of $40. I really regret not finding these reviews sooner and not paying attention to my gut before hitting the join button. The whole time I'm previewing the site I'm thinking to myself why are there soooo many free video downloads on the teaser page? And why is the first month so expensive while the three and six month memberships are so massively discounted? And why aren't there any previews of a real photo set? The answer is deception.

Each photo set only has about a dozen pix or less, and most of them are with the girl in the same exact position. Plus the "life-size" pix are blurry, granulated and obviously Photochopped. Ron says on his site that the quality of his photography equipment isn't a priority...and it shows.

The site navigation just sucks, there's no other way to explain it. The video quality itself is pretty good, I'll have to give him that one, BUT HE NEVER SHUTS UP. He says on his site that he thinks the girls are insecure and need to be talked at constantly in order to feel safe enough to takeoff their clothes. Seriously. But even without his constant diarrhea-of-the-mouth, to me the bottom line is poor camera work, with an unsteady hand and a cockeyed point of view, plus they're just flat out repetitious and boring. Each girl uses this toothbrush vibrator thing while Ron rambles on and on trying to initiate these totally INANE conversations, plus his hyena laugh just grates on your nerves. Not good

The models are HOT, but like you said, HE WON'T STOP TALKING! Plus the camera is constantly jiggling around everywhere, very unprofessional.

I remember being so disappointed with this site. I remember watching "20 minute workout" back in the 1980's (Ron Harris production) and thinking how extremely hot the models were working out and how excellent the photography was. Ron got famous from this as well as his Aerobicize videos.

But with his website, the videos are very amateurish. If he would just buy a tripod, and close his mouth, and zoom out just a little further (so you can see more than the upper left corner of her mouth and the lower right corner of her pussy) it would be awesome.

The photo quality however is top notch, he really is a gifted photographer. Perhaps if he hired someone else to do the videos?

It's so hard to find really good solo content these days, one thing or another always seems to spoil it. Usually it's over-production or too much makeup. In this case, it's the guy holding the camera.

Sorry don't have much to add about Ron Harris. Was really disappointed after such hype, especially for the price.

As for the videos they are available in 720p and 1080p to download. I've never had problems playing hd videos on my pc but the 1080p wouldn't play on my machine. Quality was good for the 720p if you could get past the stuff I said in my review. As for how many, just depended on the model. Some like his main girl Kara(who he shoots alot compared to everyone else) had probably 10-12, while most girls had 2-3.

While the videos look great, I couldn't get past the jerky cam, bad zoom and him talking all the time.

I've been a member a couple of times, and I also felt the site was lacking. I don't like the small updates and the repetitive way he does things. Plus you pointed out that it went a week without updates.

This site has always been inconsistent in that way, in my experience.

Also, I thought the webmastering was really, really poor with lots of new windows opening, among other problems. It can get really confusing.

What you said really reminded me of how I experienced the site, too.

This site does some great stuff, but has some real negatives for me:

1) The excess photo-shopping/painting of images - frequently takes all the erotic charge out of the pics

2) Ron himself ruins many vids. He's not a guy that tends to get women to want to get sexy. He has sexy models and if he just turned on the camera and pretended he didn't exist and focused on the camera work, the site would be hotter than it is. Nobody - including the models, it seems - wants to hear him talking.

I heard from before Ron was a older man so you might be right. He is a good photographer and probably been shooting many years. Good artsy photography. I do not agree site is similar to ftv girls. Ron Harris site is much better. ftv has amature photography and video that is not much in focus and Ron is a profressional. Ron does have not to good site design inside members section. ftv has better site design. At times Ron does not seem nice to girls but maybe they do not work hard enough so he gets mad.

This is another one of those sites, like Pier999, where the painting in the pics is so extreme as to completely do away with the eroticism for me. I found the vids to be the aspect of the site that I liked the most because vids don't offer the same opportunity for messing with a woman's appearance and cause he gets in nice and close. But Ron H doesn't have nearly the skill that Alex of ALS Scan/ALS Angels does at bringing out a models' personality - watch vids of the same girls shot by both guys and 9 out of 10 times, the model is much more vibrant and sexy and FUN when she is being shot for the ALS sites.

I'm tempted to re-subsribe to this site for just a month for the vids, but then I think "Naaaaaaaa" and don't regret it.
