Great website design & also a beta-version of their new VB3 site is also ever evolving which I hope to see released fully soon.
A larger portion of 'iPad' users seem to be driving HTML5 web viewing which is beta tested in their VB3 beta website--which I am glad, as I am also one of those iPad users!
Great variety of content, lots of videos in every category, great ability to save your favorite scenes, videos, stars, etc for later viewing! |

Not really any problems that I see, the extra channels are maybe not as large as I'd like but that's a very small--very small problem.... The rest of the website is FANTASTIC and PLENTIFUL. |

The website is currently beta testing a new website version (called VB3) which is available along side the current version. Its well worth the $ and I'm only irritated that I've never tried it earlier, lol, its well worth the $ they ask--which isn't bad.
I recently joined a competitor to get a few videos that aren't on VB3, and must say VideoBox ease of use is FANTASTIC compared to the competitor--no bashing but I'm staying with VB for a long, long time!! |

Videobox has a good variety of newer and older movie clips available. There are different download speeds for the viewer to choose from, depending on their internet connection and application. The price is very good, less than a movie purchase!I enjoy the make your own clip option and also really like the ability to view the clip before I download. |

The site needs to break down the niches. The search was often inaccurate, especially if you checked pornstars. The video quality varied greatly from clip to clip. |

Search feature no longer works correctly nullifying the benefit of the keywords. |

Software engineers have this annoying desire to take something that works well and redo it so it no longer works. Their desire to add the latest "features" like floating windows that pop up unexpectedly in an irritating manner overrides the desire of the user for simplicity and ease of use. New versions always have bugs that require months or even years to fix.
VideoBox had an excellent site with 5 new DVDs added per day. Unfortunately, they just redid their interface as VB3 and basically ruined the site. I hope they will come to their senses and go back to the old interface, or at least give users the option. I am not against improvements or new ideas, but VB3 is a giant step backwards in terms of usability.
My rating drops from 95 to 70 because of VB3. That is how much I dislike it.
VB is one of two sites to which I have been a continuous member for more than 2 yr. It saddens me greatly to see it ruined.
With the new interface, I can no longer recommend it. |

Five daily updates.
Excellent streaming.
Excellent download speed.

Search is horrible, eg. search under "old" or "grannies" and you will get listings featuring teens etc.
Most videos are grade B or worse.
Not enough variety from one update to the other, it is mostly Gonzo style Porn that starts with the action rather than with a lead-in. Checking any given daily update shows a monotonous sameness among the five DVDs.
Much Niche content is under-represented .. see monotonous sameness!
Deception in many DVDs. Sometimes compilations are offered that only have one or two scenes that actually represent the action promised by the title. This goes for other DVD sites as well.
Talking about titles and deception, frequently teens aren't teens and MILFs aren't MILFs. This would be the producers' fault rather than that of Videobox but they could be more discriminating when it comes to choosing the titles they will purchase, so they must bear part of the blame.
Too many videos are blurred (soft rather than crisp) .. see Grade B videos. |

Just like others I have to stress that this is not the first time I subscribe to this site and the obvious conclusion is that there must be something that keeps bringing me back. Sometimes I do wonder why, but still and all I would encourage anyone who is new to porn to subscribe.
They will find a wealth of scenes they will like.
For a newcomer there is even some nice niche material (hair, pregnant, mature, peeing, BDSM, transsexuals) they can download if they are interested in the off-beat.
However, for anyone who has been a member on and off over the years the neglect of niches when it comes to the daily updates is regrettable and has to reduce the ratings given by them. That's why a newbie might give a 99 while I'm giving a 75. In my mind no higher score is justified at the moment.
Together, newbies and veterans might give this site an average score that better represents its value than the 95 given by TBP.
And, yes, down the road I'll probably subscribe again! |

-Decent price, one of the few sites I have ever seen where it is cheaper to join by renewing free trial membership than by joining outright, although probably a mistake on their part
-Plenty of variety, although some niches aren't as well represented
-Download managers work
-Download speeds are decent, I averaged 900 KB/s
-Excellent member interaction with reviews and opinions of videos and scenes
-Frequent updates
-Ability to creat custom clips, so you only have to download what you want. |

-Site navigation is mediocre. For a smaller site, their style might be great, but for a site this large it just doesn't work
-Search function often returns a mixed bag of seemingly random stuff, or doesn't work at all
-Model labels are often incorrect. I can accept that they can't be held responsible for what is on the DVD, but when the members comment that the model name is incorrect, would it be that difficult to fix it?
-Video quality is mediocre in this age, and the file size of newer videos seems quite large given the quality of video
-Site bills directly rather than using a 3rd party biller
-Quality of videos is very hit-or-miss, with most in my opinion being miss. |

I know there are tons of reviews of this particular site, and I am sure that everyone at PU has been or will be a member eventually. This site used to be one of the best if not the best porn site on the net. However, lately I feel like they are focussing on stupid little user interface issues rather than resolving major issues with the site. How many times have they redesigned the front page? While adding user costum edited clips is interesting, who has the time to dig through that shit?
They should focus more on fixing the problems with the site. Get quality rather than quantity. They already have a huge archive, I don't think many would be dissappointed with 4-5 updates per week if they were good updates. Also, a site this large needs better navigation. The videos can easily be tagged with more info than gonzo and one on one. Tags for tats, breast size (other than large), and body type would be nice. If they don't want to do it, let the users tag the scenes - I'm sure plenty will.
This overall is a good site, and there is a reason it is so popular, but they could certainly take a cue from sites like American Vice that unfortunately failed. Like I said, everyone here should and will become a member here at some point or another, but that doesn't mean videobox doesn't have plenty of issues to resolve. |

It is very difficult to write about Videobox. There are many reviews on Porn Users and it is very difficult to write something new about it.
I will not try to repeat everything which was written about Videobox. I will try to write about things which were not described.
I like that interface is translated to many languages. I like Videobox category search too. I read that users dislike search on Videobox. I am using only their multiple category search and I like it very much. I also like Videobox variety, they have 40 categories to look for. They also have feature movies, and many movies from "Private" which IMHO is the best porn studio. "Private" videos on Videobox are old, were first released on DVD about 2000-2005.
I like Videobox site and recommend it. |

Of the numerous adult sites that I've joined throughout the years, Video Box is perhaps the best site of them all.
Video Box features virtually all of the qualities that I look for in an adult site - quality videos, great selection, frequent updates, No DRM and fast downloads.
The quality of Video Box's videos are very good. Video Box offers five different quality download options, including an iPhone option. On top of the various download options, Video Box also lets you stream the videos on its website, which, in my opinion, works well when you want to preview a video before downloading it.
In addition to the high-quality of the actual video playback, Video Box also offers high-quality videos from high quality studios, such as Private, Red Light District, Legend, Platinum X and, recently, Diabolic.
Video Box offers a great variety of genres. It offers pretty much every genre that you'd find in your typical adult video store except for gay videos (although it does offer a separate pay site exclusively featuring gay videos).
A video is added approximately every five hours, which is relatively often compared to other adult sites.
One of the most overlooked features on an adult website is download speed. A lot of websites, whether intentional or not, have excruciating long download times. Don't you hate when the video you're downloading downloads at only 1/4 (or less) of your actual Internet connection speed? I know I do. The download speed on Video Box is consistent with my Internet connection speed, which means I don't have to wait hours for a single scene to download
Two factors prevented me from giving Video Box a perfect score: (1) Updates, although frequent, vary greatly in terms of quality and (2) You have to pay extra for Evil Angel and Vivid videos.
As I mentioned earlier in this review, the actual video play back quality is great. However, the quality of the featured videos/updates vary greatly. There are times when the updates consist of high quality videos from high quality studios, while there are times when the updates remind you of the videos featured in a makeshift clearance box tucked away in an obscure corner of your local adult video store.
All in all, Video Box is an excellent site that I highly recommend. |
