Pros:
-- Lots of picture sets
-- An engaged community of models and members who participate in an abundance of groups both sexual and non-sexual
-- A well-organized home page allowing for easy navigation
-- Models representing lots of shapes and sizes, all of whom reflect different notions of beauty
Cons:
-- Quality of pic sets varies markedly
-- Some models won't be to your liking, more so than on other sites where you find a more consistent level of beauty
-- Videos are brief and eclectic, not typically erotic (and, usually, superfluous)
-- Pic sets can't be downloaded
Bottom Line:
Welcome to the post-Rigel era at Suicide Girls. Rigel was a popular model (and administrator) on the site until 2010, when conflicts at the company -- as well as a desire to return to school -- hastened her departure. She represented the ideal SG: gorgeous, shapely, inventive, and, of course, irresistible thanks to her stunning tattoos. A new Rigel set was an event -- you knew you'd get high-quality, erotic photos shaped around a creative concept. She was the best.
Her exit came after the site began expanding its model roster, and, given the influx of new talent, the quality of the photo sets diminished, and the models themselves became less compelling. Fewer and fewer captivate me now, and it's difficult to keep up with the ever-changing and expanding roster. (Only a handful of true stars, like Annalee, remain.) Many of the sets will leave you flat; others will have you scratching your head. Occasionally, you'll find a model and set that capture you. Quality control seems lacking, though part of the aim of the site, no doubt, is to be more democratic in who they feature. It is what is -- no more.
One of the advantages of SG is the active (and large) community, comprised of both models and members, who post to the site's board and who participate in an abundance of groups that cover sexuality, religion, philosophy, the arts, and pop culture. Many of the groups have active discussions. I suspect some members, like me, continue to buy a subscription merely to keep abreast of group goings-on.
On the topic of subscription rate, it's not expensive. You pay $49/year, and if you let your membership lapse, eventually you'll get an offer to renew at $29/year. So it's not a prohibitive investment, and, frankly, it's not worth any more than that, unless your fetish happens to involve tattooed and pierced women.
I've become bored with the photo sets -- they rarely have the charm that Rigel's sets (and those of other classic models) exhibited. But once in a while you're treated to a gem, and the community is always there to engage with. In addition to the pics and videos, you'll find blogs (by both models and members), interviews with well-known figures in the arts community, and a chat feature.

Have been a member of suicide girls for 2+ years and LOVE the site. I have been a member of Carol Cox, Wifeys World, Brandi Love, Liz Vicious and Sammy4U.
Suicide Girls was, in my opinion way ahead of its time. It was a always a "community" not just a porn site.
Maybe some don't like that but it's 2010 and I expect more from a site than just spitting back content to me.
I am a bit confused about the site. I looked around for a while and I looked at the video section which seemed to be all user submitted stuff. If this a social site or a softcore porn site with a strong community around it? Are all the shots made by similar people or do people just update their own photo sets?
Also as a fan of videos is there any purpose in joining? I read pinkpanter's review and I'm just curious if things changed since then.
Finally how easy is the navigation of the site? My partner might be interested in the content but she is pretty computer illiterate. The tag thing sounds cool but are there any other similar options?
I saw this site listed as one of the top reviewed sites on PU and thought, what a load of junk. Then I took the site tour and was pretty damn impressed. It really is a whole on-line community with lots of interaction among members and with the models as well ... sort of like PU for alternative crowd. Millions of pics, thousands of vids, updates several times a day and an inexpensive price. I'm not really into the tats and alternative thing but I'm thinking it might be worth a membership in the near future.
As an aside, does anyone know what sizes the pics come and if there is a zip function? The tour pics weren't much better than 900x600 so I was hoping the members area had them larger sized.
Has anyone purchased the Suicide Girl's new book "Beauty Redefined"? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on it and I want to know from some trusted people their honest thoughts about it.
I just saw an episode on CSI New York, featuring the Suicide Girls. It was pretty good, the CSIs went to investigate a murder of one girls, a walked in during a photo shoot.
(from a 3 year member) Suicide Girls is recommended
I rejoined for one full year for only $29- four months ago... (as a return customer)I let it lapse about six months, they emailed me with the rejoin offer--and I took them up on it. Suicide Girls really offers beautifully photographed sets.. if you can deal with 1000 X 660; 660 x 1000 pic size you will get sets comparable to the major sites.. the only difference is the models are more artsy, dark, tattoed, some 50's pin up dolls, some are goth but not all....most are 18-23 range and are cute..college girls.. and true first timers; I'm a porn veteran and I've been getting off to this site for three years.... first timers can join for $48 for 1 year, $24 for three months, or twelve a month... for those on tight budgets this is my third year with SG...I was online this morning on the SG site looking throught their recent sets.. and I would consider this a dark horse site.. It doesn't get a lot of hype yet it is a very good site...you dont get a lot of samples on their tour but take my word for it...you will get a lot for that $48 / $29 per year...
I found out that Suicide Girls are running a limited time special. If you subscribe using the link you'll only pay $29 instead of the usual $49 dollars per YEAR. No catches, no scams, nothing extra. Just a special they're running. So if you've ever been interested, but didn't want to pay the $25 for 3 months, this should be helpful towards you.
Site looks good the tours shows alklot of good stuff even some free pictures. They are watermaked though. I could get into a site like this, think after 1byday I will check this one out.
