I think given the quantity of material and the iconic status they have acheived, they could well afford now to relax their rigid formula so as to reduce the mind numbing blending of one set preview thumbnail into the next.
I'm on the Met Art email list for news and offers etc. The latest one struck me as odd; a combined deal for Met Art and Videobox. I figured they'd be very different markets; I wonder how many folk have/do subscribe to both?
BTW I find it amusing that when searching here on PU for 'Met Art', I also got Heavy Metal Pussy Party.
PU/TBP price for Metart does not reflect the PU/TBP discount.
With a PU/TBP link, you still get the great $19.99/month (recurring) rate.
I saw the PU/TBP rate listed as $39.99/month (recurring), and it was like a kick in the head. Metart is probably my favorite site, and I thought that one of the great bargains in the porn world had disappeared.
Metart has a relatively new search feature that I just noticed.
This search is available to members and non-members alike.
Go to http://guests.met-art.com/models/top/
At the top of this page there is a search thingy. Type in the name of the model you want to search for, and it returns:
1) a thumbnail of the model so you can see what she looks like.
2) the model's bio data:
current age, breast size, eye color, hair color, country, etc.
3) the sets the model has: date of set, photographer, set title, thumbnail of the cover photo, and a hot link to the set.
This is a really great feature, and it makes it so much easier for someone who wants to search for a particular model's sets, and it helps to catalog the sets for each model.
One annoying complaint with MatArt has been their naming convention for downloaded material. I'm very pleased to report that they now have much more descriptive names.
By contrast a typical August 2011 download was labeled:
MET-ART_sg_604_hires
While I doubt that these folks will be going back and renaming the earlier stuff, just the prospect of all new offerings is a great thing that should make all MetArt fans quite happy.
Now we all know that movies are not the primary draw at MET Art, but I've enjoyed some of them a lot. Up to now, the movie viewer has been the site's weak point. At one point in the past there was a seek bar, but then even that was disabled. Even in the larger size, you couldn't watch at anything like HD. All that is in the past.
As of yesterday, Met Art has a very nice JWPlayer for watching the movies, and we can now watch them in HD, when that resolution is available for the video and in full-screen. It's about time, but it's a welcome addition.
NB: They're having some technical issues with it at this moment, but when I logged in this morning for my daily perving, it worked great. :)
On checking my email this morning i found an email offer to join Met Art and get Nubiles for free. Having never been a member at either site before i was tempted at the thought of signing up to both for a year knowing that Met have a great $99 deal for 1 year memberships, however on clicking through to the sign up page for Ccbill i discover the join price is $199.99......how the fuck is this a special offer??
Met-art has re-designed the updates page. Met-art is constantly tinkering with the site design to improve the Met-art experience, to make the site easier to use.
The old update page was basically a listing of the most recent updates (photosets and videos) with a nice-sized thumbnail of each cover sheet. By clicking on any thumbnail, you would get a full-sized page of that cover sheet.
In the new update page design, you get a reduced number of update thumbnails. The updates are now sorted into a photoset grouping, and a video grouping. Before, the photosets and videos were lumped together, and sorted by date (most recent to oldest). By clicking on a thumbnail for the cover of a photoset, instead of getting a larger, full-page version, you now get 14 tiny thumbnails of photos within that set.
New to the updates page is a section of thumbnails that shows the Live Met Cams models.
Also new to the updates page is a listing, with thumbnails, of the top rated Metart models.
Personally, I liked the old design better, it was simpler, and showed a larger amount of the most recent updates.
But for someone who is just browsing, and is new to this site, the new design does a better job of showcasing the huge content that Metart offers with a membership.
All of this information was available before, but the new design places more information on the primary updates page.
And the technical expertise of the site design is impressive. The thumbnail links work easily. You click on a thumbnail of a model in the highest rated section, and it brings up a listing (thumbnails) of that model's photosets and videos.
Looking at the list of updates on the site, I might have to revise my opinion and add this site to my list, as I see a couple of sets shot by the legendary (well, in some circles) Roy Stuart...
Actually, would be much obliged if somebody with a membership could let me know how many of his sets there are there?
