+Site offers material you won't find on other sites (since Ed Powers rarely leases his content to sites like VideoBox)
+There seems to be a new movement towards offering content in downloadable, high quality form (640x480), but the library is limited in size (at least compared to the streaming content) since the update schedule is rather lacking
+New content comes with image galleries, but...(see 5th con)
+There is bonus content, but...(see 9th con)
+If you like watching a hairy old fat guy, with a beer gut hanging over his pelvis, and whatever gray hair he has left bunched up in a foot-long pony tail having sex with up and coming, hot young girls, then EdPowers.com is the site for you! |

-Majority of material (>90%) is available in a streaming format, inside a pop-up window. So besides the fact that you need to turn off your pop-up blocker for this window to show, all the material is terribly low quality.
-Streaming videos are 320x240, and not meant to be downloadable, although most download managers such as FlashGet support downloading of streams
-The video player leaves out a lot of videos, not only the hidden type which can only be found through link modification but ones just blatantly ignored. There is nothing I hate more than seeing a site offer, for example, volumes 1, 2, 3 and 5, and never add volume 4. This is very apparent with all Ed Powers series.
-Update schedule is poor
-Image galleries are just low quality screen capture from the videos
-Images not downloadable in ZIP files
-Several of the streamed movies leave out scenes...a disappointment if you are looking for a particular scene
-Bonus content is junky real media streams through Pornville.net, yuck |

Outside of the rare first-time scenes with girls I like in the More Dirty Debutantes series, Ed Powers' is rather worthless. If Ed went out of his way to offer every one of his movies in a quality layout with full downloading abilities then, yes, I would say that the site was worthwhile. For a good example of such a practice, just go and check out DevilsFilm.com and its sister sites like PeterNorth.com. The sites go out of the way to provide downloads of every since film made by the company in super high quality. Ed Powers' website is far from this and it shows.
But besides the fact that he has clearly forgotten (whether he has actually forgotten or chosen is debatable) to add certain movies from the series (e.g. adding 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 while skipping 5, 6, 7), the ones he HAS added are only available for streaming and are low quality at that. Yes there is high quality and low quality, similar to the Vivid.com streaming, but there is no difference in the resolution, the thing that is most important in movie quality. Both high and low are 320x240...yuck.
There is no pornstar database (linking stars with their available movies), no high quality image sets, no site search, movies that are listed are missing scenes while those scenes that are listed are sometimes poorly labeled with incorrect names, etc. I can go on and on. Simply put, the website is a good example of how NOT to run a porn site predicated on providing material from your own production studio. Ed Powers' website joins the lowly ranks with Vivid as some of the worst studio-owned adult websites.
With all that in mind, Ed Powers' site is yet another must-miss. I only gave it a rating higher than 50 because you will in fact find a few scenes here and there which feature ultra rare scenes with girls you like, whether it is a once-in-a-career anal scene, or first-and-only b/g scene, it can be found if you are lucky enough to find it listed on the site.
On a side, your password gives you access to America's Next Hot Pornstar (.com), but it too is a junky site. Bus Stop Tales is a clone of EdPowers main site (4edpowers.com), while American Cougar TV is a separate site requiring a separate account. |
