I have my month or two per year where I join the lesser known DVD sites. While I still have mostly praise for DVD Box, rated in an 85 awhile back, something feels familiar here. The price ($5) makes it a nice join for a month while you're looking for rare scenes or if you're just looking for a site to hold you over, but if there's one negative, if you've joined any of the other lesser known DVD sites like Porn Access and all the sites they have, you most likely aren't going to find anything new here. You may though. I mainly use it to find sites I've either deleted or lost, it's a good, cheap way to get those back, but on the other hand, the quality here is now becoming close to too low. I haven't found any HD DVDs, still I guess for $5 you can't expect too much. I would rate it about the same as my last review of it. Its biggest selling point is its value if you don't have a lot of DVD porn since you could fill a hard drive up for a low price.
The $ 5.00 US membership does not recur at that price!
I thought that five bucks a month was too good to be true but thought I'd take a chance, going by the pricing info supplied above. It was only when I came to the part where one supplies ones credit card information that I noticed a little reminder that, after the first month, the subscription renewed at a substantially higher rate, ($ 25.95? $ 29.95? a month). So beware, it definitely is NOT $ 5.00 recurring.
They got me for flashybabes.com Also, you have to click, "No thanks", not "confirm". The wording is confusing and I clicked confim the first time. I realized my mistake. Logged in again and clicked no thanks. The convert function is useless. The support via chat is also useless. No replies. They do have good classics. But the quality sucks. But then again these are old movies.
Please note the current offer you get when cancelling the trial: If you first cancel and then also say no thanks to the first offer of 14.99/month, they will give you a code for a 9.99 one month membership.
As you can read below it's free to share this code among friends so I took the freedom to post it here.
I don't know if it actually works: I found the site boring (A smaller, more boring, less userfriendly version of videobox) so have no interest in staying on as a member.
If the PU moderators thinks it's not appropriare to post the code, then just remove the code?
"We would like to offer you an amazing offer, Use this PromoCode : y7KY74lds7
This code allows you to have a 30 days membership at 67% off - 9.95$ per month instead of the standard rate of 29.95$ per month.
You can right away use this code from the DVD Box join page or you can share it with friends. The promo code is valid until 2009-03-17
Warning: There are TWO seperate/repeated prechecked crossells: You need to de-tick once on the page where you enter your credit card info and then once more on the next page where you get you log in details. As you don't get any e-mail confirmation it's VERY easy to miss the cross sell and forget to cancel it.
(Here we go again) Following the link from PUsers to join up at this site reveals nothing about any 3 full day trial. The joining up options are both for 30 or 90 days, therefore I'm assuming they'll take 30/90 days cash, not 0.66 per day. Scam?
I just saw that TBP is offering a special trial for $3 for 3 days and a reduced monthly price of $15. I've been holding off on this site but at this point I think I'll at least take the trial plunge and check it out.
