+A large library, large enough to feel like its worth the money.
+No DRM in what I've found. I read in other reviews that DRM was recently removed. So that is good to hear. I wish VideosZ would do that.
+Several download formats to choose from.
+Less overlap of content than other sites. You will find some movies on this site that you WILL NOT find on VideoBox or VideosZ. I joined this site after a found a few obscure titles from google. There still IS overlap, but not as much as other sites. You will feel like you are getting exclusive content.
+No site watermark.
+Bonus sites are provided with same high quality content.
+Site includes search function.
+Like VideoBox, they provide a pull-down menu which links you to all other available DVD's in the series available on the site.
+Rather good at providing an accurate cast list with movies.
+Coming soon lists upcoming additions. |

-Misleading numbers. They say they have "8000 videos" when in fact that have less than 2400 as of 12/08. Sure, they might have 8000 SCENES but not 2400 videos. (I define a video as a DVD for these type of sites).
-Highest quality videos are 720x480. I am not a fan of sites which offer DVD resolution of 720x480. They videos appear noticeably stretched because they are native 640x480 resolution.
-Content on the bonus sites are just republished content from the DVD's available on the main site (AdultMovieClub.com) and have the watermark from the bonus site (e.g. TeenBrazil.com)
-You can't click the ENTER key to initiate a search. You have to click the little arrow next to the search box.
-They have a better rate of tagging videos with the performer names than VideosZ, but they do miss a lot.
-They don't maintain a regular update schedule. People say they do 3 dvd/day, but most of the time its 1 every 3 days
-Expensive. $29.95/mo for 2400 movies,while $9.95/mo for 5700 movies at VideoBox |

It is a quality site. What I like most is that overlap with other DVD sites is rather minimal, so you do in fact feel like you are getting exclusive content. The bonus sites are rather worthless as the content provided is just republished from AdultMovieClub.com with the bonus site's watermark. Several download formats are available and all the movies are encoding with rather high quality. Being unable to click ENTER to initiate a search is rather annoying, but at least the site provides a search, unlike some DVD sites (e.g. MovieRoom.com). The price is a major drawback. They charge $29.95/mo, which is three times as much as VideoBox but for less than half as many movies. They also do not maintain a regular update schedule. While we can depend on VideoBox to do 5 dvd/day, and 6 over at VideosZ, on a good day AdultMovieClub will do 3, on a bad one (which is more common than not) you can expect to see 0 additions.
Bottom line: because of their rather low overlap rate, search on their site for the stuff you want, sign up for a month, get what you need, then bid farewell. $29.95/mo is too expensive for a site that does not maintain a regular rate of new additions. |

Choice of approximately 2000 DVDs. Many of the newer ones are of excellent quality.
Upgrades are regular with three new DVDs added daily.
DVDs/Sections are in wmv format, often with the choice of picking three levels of quality for download.
Flash streaming to preview a scene before you download it and find out after that you don't like it.
I even saw some buttons for ipod downloads. |

As I am beginning to discover, many of the older DVDs are of mediocre quality. This makes it lose the edge I had given it over Video Box. There are problems with streaming "Flash," some links work, others don't and most of the most recent DVDs and scenes do not seem to give you the option to preview by streaming. This will be corrected eventually, of course, but in the meantime you have to download to see what you are getting.
Navigation within the site is sticky but my main beef with the site is *consistently* bad download speed! It's so bad that it knocked my review down by ten points.
I must have been lucky the first few downloads because everything I got today was blurry and you definitely needed to know German. Of course, I was moving around in the "mature" niche and that seems to be more of a European preference than a North American one, so quality material might be hard to find since most DVDs are made in the US. |

Now to the bottom line:
Not a bad site, not a great site. If you look for something you didn't see on Video Box you might find it here, however I feel that with the flaws I found after only three days, this site is not quite ready for prime time.
Added: June 28, 2008, see comment "Not Ready For Prime Time!" to get some more details about why it might be wise to wait a while with subscribing. I had originally recommended this site wholeheartedly for a one month subscription but would no longer do so. Original rating has also been dropped to 75 in view of my negative experiences.
Added on July 14, 2008: I've come to the point where I am giving up on this site. This morning the speed was even more horrendously slow than usual, even within the site, and I am still waiting for an answer in connection with my complaints about the lousy speed more than a week after I wrote the emails. This is unacceptable and together with too many streaming links that still don't work (or work stop and go because of the speed) drop AMC below 70. |

- Uh-Oh, where'd these guys come from, a pretty big video site that has over 2,000 DVDs and though not exclusive, they have a good amount of the great Combat Zone videos and other studios you don't see a lot on other DVD sites for $14.95!
- Video quality is consistent and high quality with 2,000 bitrate and 720 high end resolution.
- Three new DVDs added daily
- Very fast downloads for me.
- I ended up keeping over 70 Gigs of videos that I downloaded from here! Had never seen them before. |

- Navigation is a little frustrating, but not terribly bad.
- Around 50 or so of the videos are of the gay, male bi-sexual, tranny genres, to each his own, but I wanted to point that out.
- As with all DVD sites, eventually you get bored of searching and searching for that one great clip.
- No DRM that I can see
- Even though they have many DVDs that I haven't seen elsewhere, I didn't find a lot of new scenes of my favorites, Eva Angelina, Jenaveve Jolie, etc.. |

This site has a ton of potential. They removed all of their DRM and have the very good $14.95 per month price.
One thing I didn't understand is their wording on their site. It said in the preview that I could unlimited access for $4.95, but that was never an option when joining, and they advertise 8,000 DVDs, which is wrong. They have a little over 2,000, with an average of 4 scenes each, which would be 8,000 scenes, not DVDs.
Also, when you search for a category/genre it will say, "Page 1 of 20" when it should say, "20 DVDs". That is very misleading. 20 pages would be 300 DVDs, when it is really 2 pages, 15 DVDs on one, 5 on the other.
I still really liked this site. The Fifth Element videos are very popular with some, others hate the studio, but I like it and they have a lot of their DVDs, and they also have a good amount of Combat Zone DVDs as well.
The quality is very good, sort of a widescreen 720 high end with 2000+ bitrate, that could possibly make some start to consider this site instead of the bigger named DVD sites.
I would hope they fix the navigation/presentation though. Seeing 20 pages of a genre only to find out it is only 20 DVDs, is a little troublesome.
They do add 3 DVDs daily, so that number will be going up pretty fast, though not as much as Videobox, they do have more videos that I am keeping than VB has in their newest updates.
A few tweaks here and there and this site could seriously challenge VB. I recommend it without question! |
