I dont really think its fair to score a site purely on the speed of its servers. There are many, many reasons why the site is slow, not all of them will be the fault of the site itself.

That's your opinion, and that's fine. We're not talking slow here, we're talking sllllooooowwww. And it was consistently slow across a two week period and two different browsers. I don't care how good the content is, and it's good, if it's not delivered it's not worth a thing.

i have an active membership here, and i haven't experienced any noticeable slowdowns from the last time I was a member a year or so ago. download speeds aren't great, but decent at 600 KB/s the last time I tried. I have always found the page load times to be sort of slow at this site (especially if you open a bunch of tabs really quickly), but nothing terrible, and I've definitely seen worse.
