You are right. The ATK Galleries are just bonus sets for our members, not to be considered one of the main updates.
Just a note, ATK doesn't always shoot a movie with the photos, so you won't be able to find all vids on their site either probably.

These bonus updates smell to me like advertisements on a site that one has paid to access. They are lower quality photos than DDF standard and they have no videos.
Just my humble opinion.
