I’m new to the world of HD porn (the material I mean). To be honest, I never really understood what the buzz was about. Watching regular-quality videos on my PC or laptop seemed fine. But then when I took a membership to HD Porn and watched the scenes as I downloaded them I became a convert. The quality difference between HD and regular is hard to believe until you see it. Of course there’s a cost: storage space is used up at a much faster pace.
HD Porn is a well laid-out site that is easy to navigate. Once you’re inside you are immediately presented with a series of search and sorting functions at the top of the page with the recent uploads laid out beneath from newest to older. One the main page there is also an easy way to sort the HD scenes from the regular-def scenes.
One big advantage to HD Porn is that the HD scenes are exclusive content. Apart from being HD, these scenes are well lighted, edited and shot. I don’t know who does the technical work, but they know what they’re doing. This isn’t a guy with a decent HD camera making porn scenes in his mom’s basement in L.A.
Another obvious advantage to the high quality of the sites is the high quality of the women. Several A-list porn stars appear here in the exclusive material, such as Lexi Belle and Bree Olsen. Most of the HD material, though, is with newer girls, some of whom I’ve never heard of, though they are all exceptionally good looking and aren’t shy in front of the camera. (I suspect that most of them are Eastern European, though many of them don’t even appear on IAFD.)
The majority of the scenes on HD Porn are low-def scenes and are non-exclusive. I can’t really fault the site for this since it must be expensive to produce such high-quality material. Having all exclusive HD material probably wouldn’t be feasible at this point – the site would be too small to attract monthly memberships.
One problem with the non-HD scenes is that there is no obvious way to determine where the scene is from until you download it, and then the only way is to hold the mouse pointer over it and the title is listed in the file properties. So if you’re a big collector of DVD porn from sites like Video Box, you may be disappointed to learn that instead of getting a new scene with a favorite star you have a duplicate of one you already have.
One solution to that ‘problem’ is that when you select a scene it opens to a page where the scene starts streaming right away. This is a bit of a bother if you don’t really want to stream the video – I think the streaming option should be there, but not set automatically.
The bottom line is that this is a very good site. The monthly price is good value for 172-and-growing exclusive content HD scenes. The non-exclusive scenes are an added value. The site is easy to navigate and offers choices for downloads and some photos too for those PUers who like those. |
