lk2fireone (194) Didn't we have a similar poll a while back?
10 minutes is long enough, especially since there is no story leading up to or as part of most scenes. Most scenes are straight sex. If there was some story to make it more interesting, then a scene might last longer. But if it's just straight sex, then 10 minutes is long enough; after that it starts to get repetitious.

Jay G (65) I think the scene's time would depend on the number of people involved: solo = 5 to 10 min, 2 people = 15 minutes, then add 5 minutes for each extra person (Orgies can be very long to see all the action).

"Teasers" leading up to the action can allow lots of extra minutes if they're interesting and well done (most aren't).

Then, in your case, a scene should last as long as the hard drive it's on.

Definitely not! I tend a flock of hard drives - and a death is horrible thing to have to endure. May your drives last long and your defrags be short.

monty2222 (19) At least 25 minutes for a good lesbian scene to develop properly.

anyonebutme (14) As long as it takes.

My view, a boy/girl scene should be a quick 5 minute scene, even 10 minutes is stretching it.

But an all-girl scene, WOW they can go on forever and ever and never get boring!

The worst thing a producer can do is make the scene feel rushed, where the goal is to get in as many various positions as possible. I call this "bingo porn" and don't like it at all.

pat362 (367) I think 30 minutes is a good number for any scene with a scenario. If it's pure gonzo then anything above 15 minutes is just variation on positions and sex acts.

Drooler (218) 10 minutes of nothing but belly-down-flat-from-the-back sex, start to finish! LOL! There should be a porn site that has that. Ha-ha!

I could yell "bingo!" until I went hoarse!

james4096 (126) I like 30 minutes because in that time something good is bound to happen. Most of the time I'm finished before I get past the tease, but you can always pick up later.

PinkPanther (46) It depends on what's going on in the scene. If it's some pro-am type crap where the girl's having a difficult time getting the guy hard, those seconds tick by like minutes - so I'd prefer it to be really short - or non-existant.

John Stagliano has done hour-long scenes, starting with being outside walking around, then picking up on a girl and following her inside somewhere, then having some encounter that leads to the sex - with lots of tease and all kind of other explorations.

He's a good enough story-teller that he can make the whole thing interesting for that length of time.

Erik Everhard is someone else that likes to do lengthy scenes with an extended set-up, then lots of tease before the sex gets started - with a hot girl, that's a lot of fun to me.

The "only do scenes this way" outlook is not one that I share. If anything, I find myself frustrated by scenes with too-little tease rather than too much

Flaccid-cock endless blow-jobs are my biggest peaves when it comes to lengthy scenes, though the people I mentioned don't have that issue in their scenes.

dracken (246) I hate long scenes where there is nothing going on but zoom into genitalia, zoom out. I enjoy an interview, some sex and a cumshot. That's it, nothing more

Wittyguy (95) I had to say 20 minutes assuming a standard hardcore scene. You get a little bit of the model prancing around alone at the beginning then cut to the action. Anything less it often seems rushed. Anything more and I'm pushing my "fast forward button" too much (pun intended). Besides after 20 minutes I feel like I'm just sucking up HD drive space. Next ....
