Be very careful when joining; I was charged for the year membership. Their join page automatically has the year option checked. Evidently even visiting this page signed me up, and when i revisited it they charged me twice!
In their favor, they graciously removed the charges.

Which is quite interesting to read but ATK of course is not for those that like glamour shots :-)
As for the comment on the missing ZIP-files I'm with ths captain. A site like Penthouse should really offer this in order to make me think of joining.

I'm surprised that there weren't zips, because the last time I was there (to the end of July), they had them in several pic sizes.
Just yesterday, I gave up on trying to rejoin. First, they wouldn't let me because my email address was already in their system (?). So I contacted them through their website (which was a bit of an exercise in hoop-jumping). Never got a reply. Then I created a gmail account and tried to use that (after all, Penthouse recommends Yahoo, so I figured one free email is as good as another) to get the password sent from them. Again, no cigarillo.
And now I read that there are no zips. Guess somehow I've been done a favor!
For the life of me, I cannot understand why they run the site the way they do as far as getting subscribers is concerned. They precheck for a year's subscription for some (see markfx above), and utterly reject even persistent returners!
Fortunately, I do have recourse in this handy phrase: "Fuck it." And "fuck it" it shall remain.

My main reason for joining both was basically the same. I like hairy, but trimmed bush. I feel the comparison has some validity, even though the photographic styles are different. I don't care much for glamour photography, but I still liked the site a lot. If they only had decent videos! As far as zips, it totally baffles me why they don't. The site is very professional and does so many things well. They have several size options for the photos, but no way to zipdownload.

It is hard to tell how many of the videos are b/g hardcore. I counted 130 DVD's and TBP says over 500. I believe TBP has the number of scenes. The search engine is no help, as they are not tagged by category. I expect the number of scenes that are b/g hardcore is at least 300. But, be warned the quality is not that great. I definitely would not join for the videos alone. Most videos do not have Pets in them, they are just DVD's. Some do feature models that have photo sets on the site, however.

I'm tempted to join due to your review. There's something about the old magazines that drums up a steamy nostalgia, and you can remember how it felt when you first saw them. There was a site somewhere that offered all the archives for the Brit mag, Mayfair, and free of charge. That was a trip.

This review is incorrect about zips - from the home page, click on latest in the galleries area, then click on the latest gallery. You'll get a page displaying pics - 40, which is an average size for recent galleries - then you'll have "Download this gallery" at the bottom with a drop-down menu for choosing the size of the pics that you want from Small to Extra Extra Large - 5 choices. You click on "Extra Extra Large" and Save File pops up immediately. Click on that and you're downloading a file of 70 mb.
As to vids, they are pretty much non-existent when it comes to new ones. The most recent internet exclusive vid was released 1/01/09, the most recent before that were released 2/27/08.
They also no longer have live shows. The most recent of those was 2/03/09.
They do release bottom-of-the-run porn comps frequently - they have so little interest to me, I'm not even checking the specifics.
So it's all about pics for new stuff - and the archives, which go back a ways.

I am so glad that you checked this out. I see how you can get zips. Since they never specifically say they offer that type of service, I didn't see the option. This answers some objections that some PU'ers feel very strongly about. Thanks for the information. I owe you one.
