Hey! What are you doing downloading BBW flicks? It's not your...
I mean, great review! Given your thread on the forum, I found myself looking at this site and you just saved me $25. I might've been able to deal with the limited content and the so-so resolution, but obtrusive logos, hit or miss updates and ignored emails just don't cut it with me.
As far as the connections thing goes, are you sure it's the site and not a Firefox limit? Might be worth trying this:
- Type "about:config" (without quotes) in the address window and hit Enter
- In the filter window, type "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server" (also without quotes)
- Double click on the line that's left and raise the number.
- Click OK and restart Firefox.
That might do the trick.

Thanks, RB. Just tried your suggestion with fear and trembling and was left with two lines basically saying the same thing except that the first was in "bold". That one said 6 at the end, the one underneath had a 0. So I left things alone for now unless you can guide me a bit more. :-)
P.S. Expect to find me in other previously uncharted waters as I go along. Much of the main stream is really starting to bore me. :-)

You must be using a newer version of FF. When I do the above, I only get one line, so I have no idea what the other one is. The one with the 6 has to be the same as what I'm looking at - you need some number of connections allowed, so I would try changing the one that one to an 8 or even 10 and see if you get more connections at the site. There's no need to be nervous about any configs you do because you can always simply change it back to what it was. If you're worried about forgetting what you changed, just open Notepad and paste the line you put in the filter and the default number and save it.

Just went to VideoBox to check how many connections I could make there and am downloading four scenes at the same time, RB, so most likely the maximum of two downloads at a time with a download manager must be a site policy. But I will try your suggestion. It's not of major importance to me how many simaltaneous downloads I can do when it comes to this site because I'll have all I want soon enough but it would be helpful at other sites to have more connections.

Yeah... I forget what site made me look for that tweak, but it's one of those things that's nice to keep in mind.
Thanks again for saving me a few dollars with the review - I've been on a bad streak of cliunker sites and don't need to hit another one any time soon : - /

Yes, we've all had those experiences with "clunkers" and it will keep happening because the good sites have been mined out by most of us and if we are tempted to re-subscribe to them we are dependent on the daily updates because we have all the good stuff from the past on our hard drives already.
And so we keep straying into unfamiliar territory where we might find the occasional gold nugget but sadly most of the time we will find fool's gold instead! :-)
