-Site search is not very good. I searched "Lucky" in hopes of finding Lucky videos but got like 20 results all over the place.
-Videos watermarked
-They add updates like they are magazine issues, which I think is rather dumb. It is a waste of time for something no one cares about.
-Extras are weak. Yes, if you signed up for the 7-in-1 deal recently you get 7 sites (I didn't), but they are not linked on the "Extras" page, rather you are given junky wallpapers and dumb videos of outtakes, or "bloopers".
-They just updated their site again, and while the new site provides a better interface overall, they eliminated 6 years of content (videos, images and girls all together)! People woulnd't otherwise realize that DDF has been around since 2001 and there was a lot of good content from girls who are rather hard to find (e.g. Stepanka Cisarova), and that is all gone.
-The timeout period is now rather short, meaning you will be putting in your login/pass quite often, yuck.
-Expensive! $35/mo! |

Overall, an excellent site which is devoted to keeping pace with the rest of the porn world, maintaining a fresh looking website that is pleasing to use. I'm not going to say that this is the MOST pleasing site I've used, but it is one of the more pleasing ones (I put Brazzers at #1). There are not many things the site does wrong, where I can dock points from the rating:
Download manager, check
Image gallery Zip's, check
Multiformat video downloads, check
Pornstar directory with headshots, check
Update history page, check
Respectable update schedule, check
etc.
The places where I did dock the site points is:
1) the site search is poor. It needs work to improve accuracy. Yes, if you search for a unique term (or name) you will get what you want. But a lot of the names of the girls are a bit generic, so the accuracy is not there because the search function searches names, tags, and text describing updates. So for example, when I search "Lucky", a rather generic term and the alias on 1By-Day of the highly popular "Lucie Theodorova", I get 26 results, yet there are only 3 Lucky updates, 2 of which show up as result numbers 21 and 23, and the third is the most recent update to the site and, as such, has not been added to the search. This is absolutely unacceptable. Not only should updates be IMMEDIATELY available in the search results, but the ones I want should be #1, #2, #3, etc. not #20 or so. On the flip side, when I search for more specific terms like "Tiffany" it works fine. In short, they need to fix the search function so that it has advanced search functions, like "search names only" or something.
2) They removed terabytes of content which was dated prior to July 2007! Up until recent when they changed the site again, all the content was available on the "Archive" page, saying to members that "hey we are devoted to adding new HD content, but for those of you who want the really old material we made, you can still get it". I can understand that it was very low quality being encoding long ago during the days of poorer internet connections, but there was no need to remove it. Burying it in the "Archive" page was the probably the most logical decision they made, one which I wish would have been upheld in this new site. What a joke.
3) It is expensive! $35/mo is a lot. Which is why I only buy access once every so often just to catch up on new updates.
Are either of the first two (huge) negatives reasons to cancel or not buy membership? Not really. For me, considering I previously downloaded all the old content that I wanted, its just upsetting to know they removed all that content. For most newbs to the porn world, they would never know the difference. Its just a disgruntling thought for purists like myself.
One last note, the watermark has been changed. Before it was more ominous and in the corner, now its more subtle and closer to the center.
Again, good site, maybe a bit pricey for some, but you get a lot of good, high quality content. |
