I'll third(?) the applause of the removal of the pre-checked cross-sale. I understand why sites do it, and I'm not at the point where I don't subscribe to a site because of it, but I still think it's a shady practice. I don't mind upsells and cross-sells in general, you just have to give me (the user) the initial choice in whether or not I want to do it. I'll say right now that most of the time I'll say no, but sometimes, sometimes I won't.

Thanks for the feedback Marvin. It would be nice to see you rewarded with some new memberships, but in the real world we all know how it is likely to work. You gain three new memberships from PU members and lose 1000 because you got rid of pre checked cross selling. Negative ev on that one.
I look forward to a new Her Freshman Year type site, and kudos to you, for ending cross selling from PU/TBP.

Thanks for the clarification marvin. I know that piracy and costs are a big issue but it seems that a lot of the ways sites try to combat those only hurt people who are glad to pay to support sites who work hard to make a great site. I'll definitely be joining here in the near future.

Quick question - the terms and conditions say that only 500MB downloads are allowed per day. is that true? From all thye reviews I have seen I see no one mention download limit.
