I'm fine now, just the treatment took so much out of me, I'll never work again. For anyone who is interested in what I look like now there's a video of me on Youtube if you search under my name it should come up. Also shows what I can do now. The Astral-Blue site was the stuff I shot during the 80s and 90s while in England. This has a lot of old favorites. The Best Porn has a review of the site.
As for the way I shot. I loved my job and the women I shot. I hope some of that came through, still was tough getting the same contact from the Czech Girls I got with the English ones.

I'm retired. Had cancer and it stopped me dead fighting it for 2 years. Cured now yet not able to work.
The recycling takes 3 months to go around, so if you've been a member for 3 months then great. You've seen it all and it's time to move on. If you want we will give you a free membership for a bit longer.
Sorry but there's no alternative.

Please help me solve the download problem and email me at paul_eva@paulmarkham.com.
I upload and download every day and the speed is fine. Can you tell me what speed you get so I can check it out. Without people contacting me DIRECT from the message boxes on the site I can't solve the download problem. Because the first thing I have to do it isolate the problem.
I keep asking and no one replies, please Gosh if you want it solved hit me up by emial or ICQ 213 327 873.
Then we can solve it together.
If you contact me and help me sort this I will let you have another months membership and membership to out other site.
As for auto downloaders I have explained why I do not allow them. If the speed is slow now it would slow down more if 10 members were auto downloading from the site. So the only solution is spend $5,000 to put in a new server that would carry the load. In todays market $5,000 is not worth it.
As for value, how much should I charge for 530 videos updating 3-4 a day?

Here's an update on the Retro porn site Astral-Blue. It has been a lot longer than we expected due to some personal upsets this year and last.
It's open and running, we are adding new (retro) content all the time and taking it off Paul Markham Teens. The Astral-Blue site is ready for us to take to the review boards and will be contacting them. All I can say is if you like the Retro Content on Paul Markham Teens there is a lot more of it on Astral-Blue.
If you have never seen it. It's content I shot in the 80s and 90s. The style of shooting is amateur, most of the girls were amateur and they talk to you while they strip and masturbate. Also a lot of hairy pussy content in the site. Girls did not all shave back then.

It's usually the route between your computer and my server. The Internet is a web and the route across it goes through different places. Usually if the route is clear the download is fast, if not there will be problems. The only way to pin point the problem is to do a "Trace Root" this will identify where the hold up is.
It can be your ISP, or anyone of those on the route.
We did have a lot of problems before and they were mostly solved when we installed the Auto Download Blocker. This stopped a lot of the problems, but it can't solve the problem of the route from you to my servers. If anyone gets a problem please contact me as soon as possible so I can identify where the problem is.

I understand what you're saying and would love to accommodate you. Sadly it will not work.
Many of todays members only want a few days because it suites their needs and to give them limited access will upset them. They come back when it suits them and just don't want 30 days membership.
Also to have 4-5 people on auto download will slow down everything for everyone else. Would of been nice if I had launched the site in the good times and had multiple servers. Sadly I did not and just can't afford to put in new additional servers to cater for those who want to download the whole site. And many do want to. Works on a site with 40 scenes, but tough to do with a site of 500+ scenes.
We have tried to limit the amount people are allowed to download without penalising. Increase it a bit is a possibility, but we can't limit those who only want to be members for a few days because it suits their needs.
Running a paysite is a job of keeping as many people as happy as you can and maintaining a profit. No happy customers = no profit. No profit = no site.

I get these notices some times and need to know exactly what the problem is, when it happens, what you're trying to access and where you are. Because if I try to check it when everything is running fine I can't find the problem.
Often it's the route the member is taking to the server and a slow down in the route which no one has control on. Sometimes it's simply too many people on the site all trying to download too much at the same time.
I need to know exactly what and when the problem is if I'm to fix it.
I could just have 3 servers based around the world, but that would mean taking scenes off the site to pay for the extra servers. Or just take scenes off the site. Which is something I'm against at the moment as I have increased the number of videos to around 570.
Downloading a video at the moment to test it and it's coming down fine, I'm at home which is a poor connection as I live in the back woods. LOL
Will test it from the office later today.
But if anyone has problems ICQ me 213 327 873 so we can look at it together and fix any problems.
Just looked at the server and I see in the report a few peaks of usage. This is too many people downloading too much at the same time. It might also be some people using auto downloaders at the same time and I will look into our protection against these. They make it great for one and crap for twenty. LOL
Solutions are, less content or throttle and reduce what people can download.

Good points and taken in. I'm now getting all the new videos and pictures scanned to bigger sizes. Am thinking of giving a FLV version that will cover all needs. They will be for all. The two sites you listed don't have 1000 videos, easier to do with 500. I am increasing the number of videos on the site though.
Going back and editing the masters again?
Big job and needs planning. I'm thinking about it, more videos or bigger videos?

Yes I'm from the UK and spent 20 years there shooting content.
At the moment we have 50 or maybe 60 of the older videos on the site and some Photosets. If you're from the UK and over 35 you will remember some of these names, Vida Garman, Louise Hodges, Lucy Gresty, Diana Wynn, Helen Hanson, Nici Sterling, Niki Lewis, Sarah Daniels, Georgette Neale, Samantha Marshal and many more. They are on the site now and putting more up this week. Also some real amateurs who had never done nothing before. The girls back then were more innocent and it was a little more daring to do porn. The contrast with todays stuff is amazing.
If you're a reviewer get Ken to mail me for a pass to the site. The new site will be 100 old content, exclusive and unique.

Interesting post and here is a question for all those who are confused about any sites rotation policy.
1. Do you want 2 sites with 410 videos and no rotation. As we now have over 1000 we would have a 3rd site at a lower price with the remaining content. How we split the content would be decided later.
2. A site with all the content for twice the price?
3. A site twice the size for the same price?
4. Or a site with 410 videos and rotating so over the month you see 530 and in your second month you see the other 530. All for $29.95?
We would make more money with option 1, but I felt it was not fair. Option 2 is a non starter because few would pay $59.90 for a month. Option 3 is great for the surfer, and I would like to get twice as much for my money as well. Not going to make anymore money and could lose us money with todays connections and downloaders.
Option 4 we feel is the fairest. By no means the best value for money site on the net, just the best we can do for the money. The members pay and we need to keep the site open.
530 for $29.95 = 5.6 cents a scene. OK so you only like half 11 cents a scene. Kill me for it. LOL

$2.95 for 410 movies. And you think you should of had more. Any ideas how much more expensive content you should get for $2.95?
Please let's be fair is people only pay $2.95 they can't really complain if they get a couple of scenes they like.
As for Karups, they have very little of the content, we sold to them over 5 years ago and I don't think they have bought recently. 25% of the sites content is exclusive to us, so 100 movies.
Thanks for your comments, but maybe you would like to tell us how many scenes, what quality and how good you would like them for $2.95.

The old content is destined for the new Astral Blue site we plan to open this month. Yes the quality of the image is not as high as todays HD cameras. And the action is sometimes softer, but what about the girls?

Thanks for replying Bigalaz1, sorry if I mistook what you said. I did get the impression you were saying the site was only worth joining for 3 days and it surprised me. A site with 410 videos adding and rotating 4-5 a day is only worth $3. What do you want for $30?
Yes I went the route of adding and rotating and frankly financially I think for us it was the wrong move. For members I still think it's excellent value. Let me explain why some sites go other routes.
With 900 videos we could of split it into 5 sites of 180 and sent traffic to each one of the sites and from the sites sold memberships to the other 4 sites. This would of made us more money and 180 videos for $30 is not such a bad deal. 16 cents a scene. Yes there are better deals and there are worse. Most sites choose to give members less and sell them to other sites they own.
We chose not to go the exclusive route in the belief that this will lead to a site of 1/10 of the size and if you have seen some of the scenes many members have not. Scenes that you have not seen some other members have seen. Swings and roundabouts.
Do we add new content?
Yes, last year we shot 100 new videos never seen by anyone. They went on the site before anyone else had them. Today I have two editors converting scenes as fast as they can. Should be up to 5 never seen before videos scenes a week. We will add 300 new videos this year.
Yes I got the wrong impression you thought all this was only worth $3. My mistake.
As for your login on the site and my own forum, it's so close to the one you use here it was easy to find. I checked the email you use and came up with the same info. Sorry if I got it wrong.

Here's something I'm planning on doing and asking around surfers boards to get more reactions. how many would like to download a DVD quality scene that can be played on your DVD player?
I have done a few tests and the results are astounding, largely due to the size of the file and the quality of the DVD player and the TV.
So how many would like this option?
I know ipod and mobiles are popular, but very small. DVD is logical as a better option. So long as the wife does not catch you. LOL

I honestly wished more members would talk to site owners and tell us what they think. We can only supply the product you want if we talk to each other. We might say no, that's something you have to consider.
Some sites do allow more DL speed and hope the members who don't DL it are going to pay for those who do. As you will see I shoot a lot for Sapphic, they just installed a DL limiter.
With surfers and members being offered higher connections, computer hard drives getting bigger and site hosting not get cheaper expect more big sites to limit DL. It's got to happen. Unless it's a smaller site.

Sorry if this sounds a bit tough but it's how the higher user connections are effecting us all. The more people who can surfer faster means the more load on sites servers. And more cost to the site owners.
With some connections and auto downloaders the amount some people will suck down in three days makes it impossible not to limit the DL for ALL members on sites of a certain size. To limit people paying $3 for 72 hours of downloading is common sense. It is set at 2.5 GB per hour and 5GB a day. That 20 to 15 scenes of the high quality per day for a $.
I can see why you don't like my present limits. Would you like it higher?
A message to all surfers and members.
Hosting costs money, most pay from 5 cents to 10 cents a GB. The more you pay the faster it runs. This is after you've bought the servers, paid for the housing of the servers at an ISP. Now site owners could spend more money on server speeds, relax download limits and allow people to get more content in less time.
Who will pay for it? And don't say more sign ups because each extra sign up costs money. Or we reduce the market of large sites to a few and members have less choice.
Sorry but I feel at $ a day 5 GB is excellent value.
I did a test when we installed the download limits and it was fine.

Yes we rotate over 90 days, so after 4 months you will see scenes you saw before.
