Just makes this great site even greater - when I had an e-mail discussion with Alex a few weeks ago, he said that this was a change that they were thinking about - great to know that they made their decision.

For at least 4 years I have joined alsscan for a month here and there when the current cycle of videos has a lot that I would like to see. I haven't joined in quite some time, however, because even though there are 7 movies a week, not all of them are new as there are always the "newly encoded from the archives" videos with the same models I have seen many times. Perhaps for new people that is great but it seems that they have an absolute ton of content waiting to be released and should get to it. There have been nearly 10 new models over the last 4-6 months that have hardly had any videos released because, according to Alex, there is still so much stuff to release BEFORE that. Well get to it I say and tone down the amount of rehashed releases. If they would leave all their content up instead of cycling this would remove this problem. Hell, I've read in his blog from '06 of certain girls he has shot and still have yet to see anything from the shoots. It would be understandable that if they left all the content on the site updates may not be able to happen 7 days a week, but I would gladly take 3-4 updates a week that stay up so they can start moving through all this content and start getting to some new model material.

ALS Scan currently has a full 2 1/2 months of vids available - this is at the upper end of the scale for them leaving vids out there, so this may change any day. While it is unpredictable how long vids will be available beyond the 4 weeks guaranteed, they do seem to be trying to increase the time of availability in practice.
I agree that the site would tremendously increase the value to their members if they had their full library of vids available.
I'll suggest it to Alex - he's always available for suggestions - and will be pretty direct in saying so if it ain't ever gonna happen.

Yeah, they're one of those sites that would rather upsell their DVDs than give members access to their video collection online. Agree that it makes the price too high and the fleeting comings and goings of the videos frustrating.
I suppose that server capacity is what they'd offer as an explanation, though that must be kinda hard to "sell."
I wait awhile before rejoining, and the videos aren't an issue for me (not really interesting in female masterbation videos).

No, the two months of videos seems to be a relatively new development, one which we might hope will remain (but may not). I'm thinking the archiving has been driven by customer retention (i.e., revenue) concerns.
I, too, prefer girl-on-girl(-on-girl-on-..., etc.). So, their seemingly annual forays to conventions or the Caribbean come closer to my tastes (I just noticed I could have substituted an "e" for the "a"... :) ). But, I've noticed that the natural, casual, often interactive style of the ALS solo videos are often as, or more, entertaining than the g-on-g of higher-rated sites, which seem formulaic by comparison.
We'll keep our fingers crossed for the g-on-g percentage to rise.

One of the advantages of having a membership of a site when doing a review of that site is you get to see what it's really like, not just what's been advertised. I know that the page http://www.alsscan.com/mpegvideos.html, which you get to by clicking on the Videos link of the main page, only shows one month retention but I'm presently looking at the members video page and it has videos from Feb. 1st. to Mar. 29th.. I've sent an email to the webmaster and urged them to consider not returning to the one month archive system as it provides an unfavorable comparison point with other websites. I guess we'll see what happens.

Hello, I just found this message, Yes there was about 4 hours where my head was spinning, When we added the new discount prices for pornusers and thebestporn they did not add the password files so when people signed up the passwords did not work, They fixed it right away and all is well. I am going to add some links so anyone can contact me on the site. I know there are links in the members area but if you can't get it that really doesn't help LOL, thanks for all the input!

I think since they have been doing some changes to the site they have had some login problems. I did notice the same problem you had with getting logged in a few day back. I had to email the webmasters to have it resolved. Just send them an email. They should be albe to get you back up and running pretty quickly.
