It is true that they have classic sets from some very hot models, but I think it is quite expensive, and also I don't always like the kind of videos they make: masturbation, backstage or fisting. No other type of action or niche...

I agree that there's too much fisting (and other bizarre practices), but that's the bread 'n butter for ALS Scans, it seems. I've been a long-term member, but I just ignore that part of it. Their photosets have so many pics that it's easy to get plenty even after discarding the shots with the "lip clamps," the "rocket," the "tongs," the fist and forearm (!) and other such weirdness.
The photo quality is certainly one thing that HAS greatly improved, and these days they're among the standard-setters, I'd dare say, and need I say ... since you've been there, off and on, as long as I have.
I also disagree with some of their casting decisions, as you do. Take Kennedy for example. She's quite unique, but not exactly a stunner. (Maybe with a couple years of ripening she'd look better?)
At least they got Kacey Chase and will be posting Monika Benz some time soon.

Thanks artnoir. I don't think I explained myeself correctly. I'm more curious to know if all the models have videos to go along with their photoshoots or are there some that vane only photoshoots. I prefer video to photos so no matter how good the pics are if i don't have a video then I don't really care for teh rest.

Good review artnoir. I'm always curious baout thi site. I think I might like their content but my big fear is always whetehr all the models scenes have both pic sets as well as videos. That's never been made clear to me. Could you enlighten me?

Is the download speed really that poor? It seems hard to imagine a site only give you 150 kbit/sec, that's only like 20 KB/sec, that's beyond terrible.

I don't know when you were a member last, or why you're writing a "What happened to them?" comment if you haven't been a member in a while to see the quality of what they have been presenting, but for 8 months or so they stopped rotating off the vids, except for bonuses. I think their new models have been damned hot.
FYI - if you're a Jana fan, they're going to be releasing a huge bonus of her stuff, remastered to bring it up to today's standards, this week.

About low quality videos : i'm quite surprised. Lot's of websites offer poor 320x240 res videos encoded at 300kb/s, ours are available in divx, mpeg, h264, 720x576@2000kb/s.
About "most photosets are not available as videos", i would say "few" photosets are not available as videos ; the oldest ones (maybe 100, whereas there are 950 vids). Because we've been shooting photo and video for each scene at the same time for years now.
What do you mean by "no video options"? there are 5 different formats for almost all the videos (divx, mpeg, mov, ipod, wmv). One can chose the most appropriate i think.

Nice review, agree with pretty much all you say.
I do however have to take issue with what you say about the video quality. Only the last 15 or so scenes are MP4 and as you say they are split into 5 min chunks. The other 60 or so scenes are 640 x 480 AVI but they are not split.

Maybe I am completely missing the point of your comment, but are you criticizing this site because you can download all its content via torrents? I'm sorry but what the fuck? The complete works of Shakespeare are available on torrent sites, does that devalue his work? Just because you can CHOOSE to illegal download something should in no way reflect badly on the quality of that thing. If you don’t think the site is worth its membership fee, fine, but comparing the value of a site membership to the value of file sharing site membership is absolutely ridiculous. If everyone were to think like you, sites would have no members and thus produce no content for you to illegally download. I am not some anti-piracy whacko but the logic displayed in your post is way out of kilter.

It's hard for me to see why Steve Lightspeed is thought of highly in any way other than having shown a whole LOT of people how they can turn a fast buck on cute girls not doing much. His photography is not all that good, his videography is even worse. His site design is rather abysmal and he doesn't seem to have much in the way of personal charm from anything I can tell from reading his posts at various forums over the years.
Other than that, I love the guy - at least he brought us Jordan, I suppose that's something.

Yes, it's by their usual video guy - Goncharov. Yes, it's got that same Cinemax synth-flute music. So what's the difference with their new vid - Marinan? Simple - the model has so much joi de vivre and is such a joy to watch that even the guy that has made more hideously boring vids of gorgeous women than anybody I can think of couldn't ruin it - or maybe he's getting better finally?

I totally agree. The videos on Met-Art are awful in many respects; especially that most are merely videos of photo shoots with nothing at all enjoyable about them.
The trend at Met-Art is moving toward more suggestive (sexy) poses away from just figure model poses in various stages of dress but they haven't moved into any insertions of any kind nor have males ever made it into any of their content.
The superior photography and the superior beauty of the models has been enough to maintain this site's success, but it will have to move out of the 20th Century soft core suggestive stuff a' la Playboy to a recognition of the models' sensuality.

I agree I used to love looking through sexy nude photos of hot european babes, now I think its all a little boring at met-art, it needs vids and start concentrating more on this and they would get loads more people signing up, I won't say all but the majority of people would like also to see a good range of vids in this day and age of the models. And love it if met-art did a spin off site with vids and had the models not do hardcore, (that would be good though he he) but did a little more daring and more lesbian scenes, they would please a lot of people, cause lets face it the met-art girls are top notch and lots of them are on other sites doing slightly harder stuff. Just be good to see more passion.
Still thats my opinion, I know heaps just love the photos. I wish they'd also do more photos with girls doing sexy poses with clothes on too and stripping seductively, maybe flashing no panty shots outside like they do at mpl studios. Can't beat that in my book. well hot lesbian sex maybe does lol.

Yeah, the name thing is kind of irritating, but unfortunately this is all too common in euro sites. I think the download speed thing must be time of day related, as when I would log on late at night PST I usually got great speeds...

While I do agree that it tends to get static after a while (I wish they would do more anal, and behind the scenes) there are some very nice interviews and between the sybian, the few lesbian scenes and the hardcore I found a nice variety
Also I think they have more and more hardcore, so I definitely don't see it as a bonus, it's a big part of the site.
hmm...I guess what I'm saying here is that the site is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of teens. Aside from the teencore network it's the only site I regularly subscribe to. I think I have almost all the girls saved on my hard, around 200gb of it :P

Of the current 409 girls:
-355 of the 409 girls will at least touch themself sexually
-270 girls use toys while they masturbate
