Marqulis, any guess as to what percent of the most recent stuff looks non-exclusive? I've been a member at both sites, both over 2 years ago. I prefered Sapphic Erotica. There was too much anal at Lez Cuties for my liking--no doubt they were jumping on the anal bandwagon that has worked its way into most porn. Obviously, i'm more into the male cams, but Cam4.com is the cam site I keep returning to. Although some models (and they're mainly women) will only do stuff for tips, the vast majority, certainly of men, are amateurs who will perform for free. Anyone who visits this site will see action without having to pay. Of course, for that 1-1 experience, then tipping is recommended.

I want to personally address this because it is not quite as simple as one may think (I am using Sarahs account to post because I do not have one). The fact of the matter is that this comment would not even be brought up if we did not give our members so much information. We are being negatively viewed because we show our members more than we should, perhaps. Step back and look at this for a moment. When we release a model we show you a full preview of all of her sets that were shot. We then allow our members to vote on which set they would like to see first and in what order they should be released. Everybody has his or her favorite set and if it comes in last place or near the bottom of the voting then that member is not happy. But the voting results are clearly posted and we go with what the majority wants. Plus many think the voting is kind of fun and it provides us feedback as to what types of sets are most popular.
All of this could be avoided if we simply did not present the promo pages, and if we did not allow the members to vote, and if we kept the members in the dark about what content is even available.
As it is we still release new content every single day of the week including weekends, during a time when many sites are moving towards updating once every 5-7 days. Every day we release either a full photoset (usually 200-400 pictures, while most other sites release much smaller sets of 50-70 pictures), or a full-length video scene of 15-30 minutes. During a single shoot we also shoot about 5-7 times the content that most other producers shoot during a modeling session. We do this because we are not in Los Angeles and we do not have ready access to all the models so when we do fly a model out we need to shoot as much as possible in as short of a time as possible so that she can get back to her other bookings. Keeping members in the dark has big advantages from our viewpoint. We could do what other sites do and simply release what we want when we want and the members would have no idea of what types of sets were shot or anything really about that particular model. We have been operating under the principle that we are not the experts – you members are, so we should give you as much information as possible about a model and her shoot and then let you tell us how it gets released. We believe members like having this ability – are we wrong? I would rather not go the route of keeping members in the dark because I prefer to have ALS Scan stand above the others in the area of giving members some input and control. We are only trying to do our best and give our members what they want. Hope this helps explain. Thanks, Alex

Oh, well. With you, MargulisAZ, it's a different story. I don't like how they break things up at ALS Scan, either. The promo pics is one item in particular. Once I download the pics of an actual scene, then I have to find the promo pics I saved and pick out the ones that go with the scene and put them in.
Well, I guess I don't have to.
It's nice that they let the users vote on the scenes, but it would be nice if at least after the vote we get the scenes sooner. And they probably do it as they do because it gets the users more involved, so they'll more likely stick around.
Actually, it used to be worse when they had separate categories of outtakes and bloopers. Maybe that got too complicated even for them.

Totally agree with you there, their release schedule drives me up a wall! By contrast I love the way Only-Tease handles updates, they have a very random/sporadic schedule but you have the option to grab a limited number of future updates each month, and pay extra to download any number of future updates immediately.

Thanks for the feedback. What you say is pretty much what I thought was the case - that is, the site puts some of their hottest stuff in the trailers (especially the "compilation" trailer on the home page) to get members to join but after you do you find much of the content in the trailers hasn't been released yet, with very little prospect of it being released any time soon. It's true that new content is being released all the time but very, very little of it is what they show in the trailers.
This seems to me like somewhat of a lack of truth in advertising, a "bait-and-switch" for anyone who doesn't stop to compare what they're showing in the trailers vs. what's actually available. Not that porn sites are known for truth in advertising but this site just seems so good that I'd think they could do a little better than the rest. I'd really like to join this site but it really irritates me that they seem to have decided to release everything BUT what 's in the trailers first -some really great scenes, granted - and only give us a trickle of the content they imply is available if you go by what's in the trailers.
BTW, you say you "were" a member. Why did you leave? Just curious...

**UPDATE** - So here is some new information, the latest update on the site, which went live about 6 days ago, was supposed to be of cameron love, but the video file is the same video file as the previous update Paige. The file is called "cameron", but it is not her, it is paige. So, I e-mailed the guy from the site about the problem. No response, and almost a week later, video is still wrong. Wish it was possible to give a 0 for this site.

Though it has been two years since I last reviewed them, over a year since I was a 'regular' member (I rejoined for the first time in a long while last month), and my newer score is lower than before. I miss the way they were a few years ago but I think they still kick ass for dude-free material.

There is a solution that they've put in. When you're in a list of movies, say #512 just for example's sake, move the mouse over the preview pic shown and it will rotate through a series of more preview pics for that video.
This I discovered completely by accident, probably because I'm too slow to just click and go the selected page of the video. That would cause someone to miss the built-in preview feature.
I think their approach makes sense because it saves page space and you do see the preview pics anyway.

Actually since the new tour redesign, and the members-area upgrade as of the New Years, the message board is now prominently linked in the main members' area.
Also, I've decided to make the FTVX updates as 'bonus' updates, so they will come once a month but not interrupt the next update (ie, the next update appears the very next day).
