In reply to the poll, I picked other because I think one option is missing in the answers.
A few of you know that my life situation has been changing over the last few years, went from the married ranks to divorced and now engaged.
I know this may sound crazy, but I wanted my future wife or girlfriend to be open to porn and sexual discussions. The girl I'm now engaged to was, then she wasn't, then she was, then she wasn't. I guess we sometimes forget it was men who often repressed women of their sexual feelings. My fiance for example, nearly all of her old pictures are with no make-up, very conservative clothes, now that she's also divorced, she has made a complete 180 degree turn.
So I think that's the other option. All of the options would be related to it, but just the overwhelming feeling of being judged. I think a lot of us these days think the judging days are over, but they still exist, especially in a woman's mind. My fiance seemed to need me to push her ahead a little, show her it was okay to talk about whatever, do whatever, before she would do it. I do see intimidation in the answers and that would be close, but maybe an option of "all the above" lol?
I do have an alternative plan to attract women members. Offer a few mixed drink vouchers. Seems once the drink is in them they'll talk about any and everything.

Just to be fair all-around.
Looks like the female member with the most posts in the forum and reviews is Heather Mckxxx, kittygirl is second. Heather has 10 reviews and 69 forum posts. Kittygirl has 6 reviews and 0 forum posts. There are 120 male members ahead of Heather in reviews. There are 200 ahead of kittygirl. Heather is in the top 100 in forum posts.
Just based on this, this would put female participation at less than 1%. So I don't think Graymane is assuming. On the other hand...
While it's true that one can't tell by name, the member's gender does show in their profile. If someone chooses to lie about their gender it makes Graymane's question even more relevant since it would show there is a reason for the female members to claim "male" as their gender. No reason to question him for "assuming" since all he can do is go by the information the member provides in their profile.

I've always liked the glasses look. Eva Angelina really comes to mind on the glasses look. Maybe it does something to my perception of the model? She's geeky, nerdy, no one probably hits on her...and she does THAT?

Very similar feelings on the feelings towards different partners. I remember when Anetta Keys did some hardcore scenes and nearly all were with her boyfriend who was also a pornstar. Same with Sandra Shine, I think the only two hardcore scenes I saw with her were with her husband.
The problem I had with Sex Art was they really pushed the whole "love" thing in the one on one hardcore scenes. I think Raging Buddhist and a few of our other cynical PU members have rubbed off on me since I was thinking, "Do these models love each other or the money they're making" which somehow in my mind then tells me their interest in money ruins it, even though I like plain old hardcore where you know it's just for the money. That could get confusing.
There's definitely some nonsense like the male and female fully body painted. I wouldn't steer you completely away from Sex Art though if the offers are good enough. I think mine was 2 months for $19.95. I kept a handful of videos and all the photo sets since I liked those, felt like looking at "dirty" versions of Met-Art.
Will watch for the review on Babes.

Thanks CT, I appreciate it. I try to write reviews based on what I would want to read in reviews. Bad part, I do the same thing on Amazon reviews too, so I spend quite a bit of time and words reviewing items and sites.

I've always thought ALS seemed really protective of the Angels site. Never even thought that the Angels wouldn't exactly fit the theme/model build that Met usually has. Probably only makes sense that they wouldn't offer it. Brain is getting old.

Your ending line is probably the way I'm looking at it. Too hard to pass up for now, but may not return for awhile.
I wonder if Alex is still running ALS? He always seemed pretty obsessed with trying to get things right. Getting the hi pictures by changing the url reminds me of old days of finding samples and changing the number to see the rest of the samples that the TGP sites didn't show. Porn is making us smarter or more efficient one.
I also never thought I would see hardcore on either ALS site. The few times I talked to Alex he seemed deadset on girls only. I won't knock him too much for changing for the money.
Most of these problems sound like problems the old Euro sites used to have, especially the wrongly labeled size on zips, I remember learning to watch the size of the file to make sure I was getting the high quality zips.
Thanks for the helpful info, will probably give it a shot in a few months.

I rarely have joined the teen solo sites. There were way too many of them that used the ol' "Sign up to see her naked!" lines in the fully dressed previews. Then when I got inside, they were naked, but had soap suds on their boobs, legs squeezed together. Kitana Jade/Cherie Roberts comes to mind. Not to mention, the months I kept waiting for Next Door Nikki to get naked. It's funny how the times have changed in porn in just a decade or so. I remember when the future stars of Euro porn did hardcore for their first 4-5 sets, then went to 5-6 years or more of nothing, but solo or lesbian.
From what I remember about Melissa's site it was pretty good. So it should be a safe join.

That is interesting Buckhead. I rarely read the privacy policy on a site. I'm not for sure how to take it though.
One example I would give. This Fame Pass company seems to be running hundreds of sites. I've joined one of their sites one day and will have 10 emails the next day to join one of their other sites for a greatly reduced price. Mofos would fall into a similar situation since they are ran/owned by Manwin. Manwin owns a lot of sites, do a search in the forum for "Manwin", I know someone posted a thread about them buying out a lot of sites.
I've accepted the spam part of being a porn lover. It's annoying and all, but I just use an email address that is for nothing but porn sites. I don't know the full legal rights they have, but I'm thinking spam is probably the limit of what they can do.
Though I wouldn't say you're being too paranoid. I would however look into Manwin. Seeing that they would have a ton to lose if they did anything illegal, it would be hard to see them risking the loss for a few bucks here and there to do anything more than sell your email, age, etc...

You know rearadmiral, I'll never understand sites like these. They snatch these new models up, put them on solo sites, seem to keep them on only the solo site and outside of chance and luck, very few of us will even know they exist. It reminds me of Raven Riley who I think could have been the biggest internet porn star of her era if someone would have thought to put her on maybe Twistys or any of the other big multi-model sites.
And I don't know what's happening to my mind when I notice nice, muscular thighs over every other part of the female anatomy. I do still have this site on my very short list of to join sites and thanks for the heads up on the join options. I will take advantage of joining through Melissa Pass.

Sorry about the time delay PP, lots of life changes have slowed my internet and porn usage.
I kept watching to see if maybe there would be an email about Angels being bundled with Met-Art, but I just keep getting the Met/ALS combo offer. I still will definitely join Met and bundle it with ALS Scan at least once in the next few months. Thanks for the info even if I'm late replying.

lk2, I have been reading the different posts and comments by several PUers about the Diesel sites, but have never joined one. The Wow Girls one had me hooked with the main page having the cute girl laying on her stomach with the perfect back arch, but they changed it and for some reason, I never joined it after that. I have for a long time wanted the more curvy models, but I'm starting to prefer the slimmer ones again. I think what may have held me back, I was looking in the forum just now and saw talk of a Diesel Network. I bet I've been waiting on that to happen. X-Art has had my interest mainly because of the Veronica Rodriguez scene. I seem to still be a collector at heart and anytime I see an exclusive scene of one of my favorites, I want it. I'll probably give it a try next then see if that Diesel Network ever happens.

Thanks Otoh for the helpful review and comment about this site. I had still been holding off since I went through several of the heartcore sites and didn't really like any of them that well, but for some reason this Joymii doesn't come off as artsy.
I still may give X-Art a try too since I do like several models they have. I agree that the scenes don't seem as serious. I had all kinds of weird feelings with Sex Art since I felt like they absolutely wanted to convince me the male model and female model were in love then a few updates later, either the male or female, or both, would be in a scene with another model, once again, trying to convince they were in love with this other model too.
I have looked at babes.com several times. I may eventually try it too, these softer sites remind me of the 2007-2008 boom of Euro solo sites like Babelicious, Xisty and even Twistys seemed to change their style to be more like those sites. I'm not for sure if I'm as forgiving or patient as I was back then lol.
I'm not familiar with the Dane Jones site. Why does that name ring a bell with me though? I checked the site out just now. I for some reason was thinking Dane Jones was the guy who used to be on Little Mutt in hardcore scenes. Which reminds me, I haven't been to Little Mutt in a long time. Need more time and hard drives!

I must be shallow. I picked "almost never". The clowning around is just another reminder to me that the models aren't really into the sexual parts. There are exceptions like Regina Ice in an ALS Angels BTS video, being both funny and sexy.

Thanks PP, I had joined it around the time you replied. I think one of the best things about it is you can see her progression as a model. She has intrigued me as a solo fan, as much as Eve Angel did back years ago, which is saying a lot.
I also have really enjoyed the webcam archives on all the sites. Especially Talia Shepard's. She seems to really have a lot of fun with hers.

No problem Marcus. I've been to quite a few sites over the years that had problems similar to the ones you were having. It's at least good that you were willing to give it another try. Seems like a lot of porn users these days have a bad experience and blacklist the site for good.

Thanks tangub, I did consider trying a bulk image downloader, but saw the part in the terms about how they don't like members to run scripts and though I'm not the most technologically strong person, I knew that meant no bulk downloaders lol.
I consider myself a 60% videos, 40% photos person, so the lack of zips wasn't as big of a deal to me as it would be you, but maybe in the future they will figure out a way to do it. The pictures are really nice too. I guess if they poor I wouldn't complain much though.

And the zips are frustrating. I sometimes find myself on the fence since I would get frustrated too, if I was a webmaster and saw my hard work being passed around for free, but I agree with your side as well. Seems like maybe in the future, there could be some kind of technology, similar to DRM, that would maybe embed a code into photos which wouldn't allow them to be uploaded, but then again, someone would probably figure out how to take the code out.
