Yes, I know that I should have noticed the warning on the TBP page, but I didn't. And to make matters worse the biller (FX Billing) lumps your agreement to buy adult material in with the cross-sell. I'm not sure if you could even join without getting the cross-sell because you need to tick the box to affirm you're legal to buy porn.
Not knowing that I had signed up for another site, I also didn't cancel it right away and got rebilled today. The site is NS Premium, which has some affiliation with New Sensations. Here's the thing though: after being charged $40 on the rebill I go to the site to find out that when I try to download anything I get a message that I'm not a valid member and that I now need to buy an upgrade!
I had an online chat with the biller and they've not yet agreed to refund the $40. My preference would be a refund, but I'd even accept a functioning membership for that price.
Make sure you try uncheck the box if trying to join Bikini Dare. If you can't join without accepting the cross-sell, then don't join Bikini Dare at all. It isn't worth the hassle.
Iíve been a member here twice before and while there was a wide variation in models before it seems to be that there has been an overall slide in model looks over the past few months. Some of the more recent models have been downright scary looking. (But for those with this fetish, there was a very-pregnant model a couple of weeks ago.) For first-time members this wonít be an issue, but if you are returning make sure to look carefully at the previews before deciding to rejoin. I hope this is just temporary.
Iím on my third membership here and find that since the last time I was here the quality of the models has diminished. Most of the recent updates have had models that arenít up to the standards that Iíve seen in earlier uploads. If youíre a first-time member this wonít be an issue, but if youíre coming back to the site after a while you may want to look carefully at the preview pages. The same is happening with the sister site, Back Room Casting Couch.
This was one of my favorite sites and I hope they get their groove back soon.
I got an email on Thursday for a site called XXX Pawn. It wasn't listed here so I checked it out from the email. It looked interesting and I would definitely consider joining so I clicked the link to "Join Now" and I can't accuse them of lying. I wanted to see how much the site subscription was but instead a page popped up thanking me for joining. A bit of digging revealed that this is a new Bang Bros site and because I was a recent BB member they obviously retained my credit card information.
My advice is to make sure any "join" link you hit from an email isn't from BB or you might be in for a nasty surprise.
(Khan - I didn't want to edit my earlier comment because that would make the replies seem strange but if you want to delete that earlier comment and replies I'll understand.)
I emailed New Sensations earlier today and asked them about the download limit and told them that I thought 2GB in 12 hours was unreasonably low for a site that offers HD scenes. Here's the reply I got:
We are not limiting the 2gb per 12hours. It is 6gigs in an hour. And if you are "blocked" it is for only an hour. Or if you let us know, we usually can fix it even faster, but it resets in an hour. We had to do that as we found abusers with download managers that were hurting the streaming and downloading from legit members. Let us know if you are seeing things differently and we will help you. In the beginning (after we switched the site to offer all the new formats and sizes) we had to watch and see what was happening.
The NS Team
I can confirm that my experience with the site tonight is completely different than last night. Last night I was using a download manager to queue up scenes and I triggered the limit. I'm certain that the warning I got was 2Gb in 12 hours (because that's pretty specific) but I'll concede that I may have been mistaken.
Tonight I'm downloading again and I'm well over 2GB but I'm taking things slower so as not to hit the limit. So far I haven't been locked out.
It appears that the site's intention is to reduce site rips and large data transfers by download managers and I can live with that.
I think it's important to set the record straight. I apologize for any confusion and I'll update this as necessary in a review later.
I just joined this network an hour ago with the full-price monthly membership and can confirm that the same (ridiculously low) 2GB limit per 12 hours applies to the full membership too.
I figured that since both bibo and audrina69 had trial memberships that the limit may be applied there. I admit that this was just an assumption on my part and I didn't check the terms of service. (A fool and his money are soon parted...)
Because I've exceeded the bandwidth limit I'm not even allowed to log in so that I can check the Terms of Service to ensure that the limit is CLEARLY spelled out there.
Download limits piss me off. Unnecessarily low download limits mean I'll spend the month with them and that's the last dime I'll ever spend there.
I added on a group of sites called the "SuperPack" to my BB membership. I received an email with the joining information (with the same username and password as my main membership) and with a link for customer service that was different from my main membership. I followed the link to cancel the SuperPack membership and it's the same page as the main site where you have to select which site you want to cancel but "SuperPack" isn't listed. My confirmation email said I joined through Dancing Bear (which is part of the Pack) but the site said I didn't have a membership there.
Also, there is a two-part captcha where one part of it has to be the most difficult to decipher that I've ever seen.
I haven't had any billing issues, but my advice is to cancel any add-ons early in case you have problems. I've sent them and email and I'm hoping that cancellation isn't a more of a problem than it is already.
I've never been a member at this site and likely never will be. I was surprised at the number of people who reported the same problems over and over. And I was really surprised that the webmaster seemed so concerned and involved yet nothing ever got resolved. If it was the site, shame on them. If it was the biller, then the site should have severed that relationship quickly.
The sad part is that this looks like it might be a case of a good and unique site being destroyed by a third-party biller.
Two thumbs up for the TBP/PU staff in deciding to de-list them.
I agree that this is a Ďnewí network offered by Fame Digital, but if you subscribe to a lot of Fame stuff like I do youíll want to be aware of an important fact. The site isnít a clone of another Fame network, but it offers the same stuff. Iím 99% sure that Mile High is identical to another Fame network, but since I donít have an active membership to that other network I canít be 100% sure.
This new network has videos from several studios: Reality Junkies, Sweetheart Video, Secret Sinner, Doghouse and Mile High Selection. The issue is that you can join any of those studio sites and that membership gives you access to a network that includes the others. That network is the same as the new Mile High network but it looks different.
Iím not willing to say that this is a deceptive practice because I donít accept that it is. I think of it more like Ďbadge engineeringí in the automotive industry. A manufacturer makes a car and the various brands get to make minor tweaks and sell it. Thatís fair, since a Mercury customer may want to drive a Ďdifferentí car from what his Ford-driving neighbor has.
My point in this comment is to provide potential members with the information they can use to avoid duplicating a membership.
There are currently 542 DVDs uploaded and two new scenes are added daily. One drawback is that at any given time those updates spread across three or four DVDs so you may have to wait a while for a specific scene. That could be an issue if you take advantage of the excellent value of the full trial. My experience with Fame is that if you keep an eye on your email account they frequently offer great deals.
If you are interested in this version of the Fame site you can read my recent review of Sweet Sinner since everything I wrote there applies here.
I realize that Maggie's review at TBP is only a few months old, but she makes no mention of the limit in the text of her review. The stats report the limit as being just 2GB per day. That's pretty low for a site that offers 1920x1280 videos. Theoretically, you might not be permitted to download those as they could be larger than 2GB. And with 207 it could mean having to be very selective in downloads. I'm interested in joining but the 2GB limit could be a deal-breaker. I've check out the additional sites that come with a membership and none of those interest me so that increases the risk. I've search the site for a Terms of Service but can't find one and I suspect sending an email to the site would be a waste of time.
I'm a big fan of this site and have been a member here several times. I usually join once I've become a member of another Kink site because you'll be offered a discount. The discounted price is $44.95, which is still a substantial increase in what it used to be. (And I note that when the site started in 2008 the price was $55 then too, so they're now back up to what they originally wanted to charge.)
The webmaster's reply in 2007 to a similar comment seems reasonable, but $55 is still pretty high.
On a related note, I used to get the occasional email discount offer for a Kink site membership but I haven't seen one of those in what must be over a year even though they have my email address.
Several users at TBP reported that there was a daily download limit here even though it isn't mentioned in the terms of service. Does anyone have any information on this? If there is a limit can you give some information on where it might be set at?
Jeez... at least let me have a tour before I spend $50...
I've been thinking of joining this site because it looks like it has material that I prefer. I consider value more than the outright cost, but still, $50 is definitely on the very high side of subscription fees. So you'd think the site would go out of their way to promote the site by allowing a prospective member to see what's on offer. but no... not here. Clicking anything on the main page brings you to the sign-up page. For that kind of tour I'll spend $50 on TWO memberships elsewhere.
Iíll admit that it is probably unfair to criticize a site that Iím not nor have ever been a member, but I think the stats speak for themselves.
Like many here, Iím always on the hunt for new sites. The main Lightspeed sites have long been on my radar because I really like solo girl sites. But since Iíve been burned by several, I tread lightly now.
So in that vein I looked at Lightspeed World, which now appears to offer access to all the Lightspeed girlís sites for one price. That price, $40, is a bit steep but I measure on overall value rather than price alone. So what do you get for that money? Access to ďover 80 gigabytes of original content!Ē Yes, over 80GB! Iím guessing that actually means just slightly over 80 and not 1TB of original content. But it gets better. You like HD video? Well be prepared to be blown away with full 640x480 resolution! For those of you still on dial-up there is also 320x240, but that will still look good on your 14Ē monitor. What else, you ask? How about a daily download limit of 4GB! No big deal, really, since you donít want to be tying up your phone line with downloads for more than 12 hours, right?
Look, in all my posts and reviews here I try to be fair, but in this case the numbers simply donít add up. It looks like the site just gave up a decade or more ago. But I know they didnít because I heard Mr. Lightspeedís lawyer interviewed on a radio program just 18 months ago. And yes, there is a Mr. Lightspeed, but the interviewer did accidentally refer to him as ďMr. Lightyear.Ē Mr. Lightspeedís primary complaint was piracy and I agree with him on that. I despise piracy because it is killing a hobby that I have. As I get older Iíll have to drop some hobbies and I suspect that porn will win out over mountain biking as I creep into my 50s so I want porn to stick around and show that by buying memberships. But the thing is that any membership I buy has to have objective value. 2,000 5-minute videos in 640x480 resolution just has no objective value in a world where I can buy a membership to dozens or hundreds of sites that offer true HD and donít impose such strict limits for less money. And I am talking sites with original content too.
And it can be done. Take sites like ALS Scan. Theyíve been around since before many PU members ranked girls before Tonka trucks and they offer some of the best stuff on the internet, in HD and no limits Ė for a lower price than Lightspeed. Iím guessing that if Lightspeed had followed a similar trajectory as ALS Scan then things might be different.
Iím grateful for TBP and PU for saving me from getting burned. If this site was even half as modern as ALS Scan Iíd join and rejoin and rejoin again.
Everything I wrote in my 2012 review still stands except for two things. First, the site has grown a lot and continues to update regularly. Currently there are 105 DVDs on the site.
The site primarily gives access to several seriesí from Mile High / Reality Junkies. These are:
American Tranny (15 Scenes)
Babysitter Diaries (64 Scenes) Big Breast Nurses (41 Scenes)
Charlieís Porn Family (6 Scenes)
Corrupt Schoolgirls (24 Scenes)
Cougarís Prey (43 Scenes) Couples Seeking Teens (71 Scenes)
DP my Wife with Me (8 Scenes)
Filthy Family (52 Scenes)
Girlfriends Get Even (15 Scenes)
MILFs Seeking Boys (24 Scenes)
Momís Cuckold (69 Scenes)
Office Perverts (48 Scenes)
Pornstar Athletics (15 Scenes)
Too Big for Teens (69 Scenes)
You might be able to tell from the titles, but the two best-served niches here are teens and MILFs and there is a lot for both groups. Many of the titles cover both niches in the same scene. Iím more of a teen fan but the number of MILF scenes donít bother me. It does seem a bit odd to have selected two opposite niches to cover.
One niche that isnít common on the site is anal. Thatís a negative for me but I realize thatís a positive for a lot of people. There are currently only 32 anal scenes on the site and those are split between the teen and MILF genres. (This doesnít include the 15 tranny scenes which probably also have anal.)
The update schedule is regular, but also fairly slow with only one scene being added every four days. Given that the site only draws from one studio the update schedule is understandable. I donít think itís a negative, but you should be aware of it if you plan to join.
The other big change from when I reviewed the site is that like all sites on the Fame network the timeouts when using a download manager have lengthened considerably. Before the change it was impossible to queue more than three scenes because the links would time-out so quickly. Thatís been fixed. There is still a time-out limit but it is much more reasonable and allows you to queue 15+ scenes (720p, approx. 1GB per scene), though this also would depend on your internet connection.
Also like all other Fame sites there are a lot of options for downloads and streaming. WMVs are available in 160p, 240p, 360p and 480p. MP4s are available in those resolutions too and are also available in 540p, 720p and 1080p.
Iíd keep the 88 score that I gave it last time and still recommend the site to anyone whoís interested in what is on offer. I canít confirm if the trial is still full and unlimited but the discount price makes this a pretty good value.
One final note: Iím not saying that PinkPanther is wrong in his comment, but I havenít experienced anything like that in the two times Iíve been a member. If that changes Iíll post another comment.
I'm coming to the end of a month membership and went to cancel. It was a much more frustrating experience than usual so I thought for future members my lessons-learned may be of use.
I'm used to billers like CCBill and Epoch so my default means to cancel is to go to those sites and cancelling is easy. Private's primary biller is Rocket Gate and that's who I was billed through. I went to their site and found nothing for consumers so I Googled "Rocket Gate how to cancel membership" that did take me to a page where I could enter my email and username. The problem is that they had no record of me even though they are the biller. So I emailed them. That was 24 hours ago and I haven't had a response.
The Private site has no link for your account, but at the bottom there is a link for support. That leads to an FAQ page where there is a question about billing. Most of the answer directs you to Rocket Gate, but if you have the same problem as I had then that's not of any use. There is, however, a link to prvtbilling.com. That brings you to a page on the Private website that allows you to enter your username and email address. That worked.
I should also note that I didn't receive a confirmation email when I joined. Those often contain cancellation information. I first thought that could have screwed up my email address when I joined and that would explain the lack of a confirmation email and the inability for the biller to recognize me, but since the Private site itself recognized the email address I'd say I wasn't at fault.
My final advice is that since your membership remains active for the month even after you cancel I recommend trying to cancel early in case you do have problems.
There are several membership options available to this site. One of them only allows streaming while another allows both streaming and downloads. I paid the additional amount for downloads but when I went into the site and tried to download I was told I now had to buy additional 'tokens.' I cancelled my membership and contacted the site but have yet to receive a response. I also contacted CCBill to ask for a refund but they have yet to respond to me too.
Unless the site is willing to make good on what they sold me I strongly recommend avoiding it.
I'll admit that this may be a problem that I alone have, but if you're considering a membership here you should at least be aware of it.
The site offers two types of HD files, on is MPG and the other is WMV. Both are 1920x1280. Both files are around 3GB is size per scene. I downloaded the MPG files and found that there is a lot of stuttering. This occurs with both Windows Media Player and VLC. I've started to replace those with the WMV files and they don't seem to have the same problem.
Like I said, this may be unique to me, though I tested the files with two computers and had the same problem with both.
If someone has some thoughts on what may be causing this I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Can anyone tell me what percentage of scenes are boy/girl?
The preview pages show primarily lesbian stuff, probably over 90% of the previews are lesbian or solo but there are some preview shots of b/g scenes. can a past or current member give me some information on whether this is worthwhile site to join if I'm primarily interested in b/g hardcore?
This is nothing too serious, but knowing this might save some aggravation when joining.
The site bills through Epoch and when you go to join there is one pre-checked cross-sell to Jordanís other site, The Ass Factory. There is also an unchecked cross-sell to Team Skeet for a seven day membership. I unchecked the choice for The Ass Factory since it only had less than a dozen updates in the past three months or so, and I checked the Team Skeet option because that seemed like a good deal.
The problem with the Team Skeet membership is that it is only a TRIAL membership and only allows you to stream one scene. It doesnít allow downloads. Iíll admit that I may have missed something, but I donít recall that the up-sell mentioned this was only a trial membership.
The more annoying issue is that when you go to the Jules Jordan site and select for recent updates they are laid out in a grid pattern. At the top of the grid is a banner ad for The Ass Factory. The problem is that the first three scenes listed are actually from The Ass Factory and clicking on them brings an Epoch confirmation page where you have to opt in. It wasnít clear what I needed to confirm so I did that thinking I was confirming my Jules Jordan membership and now have a membership to The Ass Factory too.
Iím fairly sure that I bear a lot of the blame for this. I suspect that if I could go back and re-read the join pages that the information was buried in there somewhere, but some of the blame has to go to Jules Jordanís site for making the information a bit confusing. Iím sure Iím not the first person to draw these conclusions based on the available information, but with any luck Iíll be the last PU member to make this mistake.
has anyone ever really figured out what the download limit is here?
When I reviewed this network a long time ago I couldn't figure out what the download limit actually was. Some days I was allowed to download 12GB, other half that. But other members here said they had no limit imposed.
The clause in the Terms of Reference that is quoted or paraphrased at TBP is that there is a daily limit of 10 gigabytes of data each day, and additionally up to 15 big movies. I emailed the site back in 2011 to ask what that meant and go no answer.
But now the mystery has deepened a bit. I just went back to the site to confirm the wording in the TOS and there is no mention of the limit. I searched for every term I could think that would be used in that clause and got nothing.
So are there any current subscribers who can provide some insight into this issue? In her recent review at TBP, Vanessa doesn't mention it but it is still mentioned in the site stats.
While I respect the opinions that martinlongbow and RustyJ wrote recently I can't agree with them. At the risk of sounding like a shill I find Evil Angel to be among the best sites on the internet. They do everything right: the porn is amazing with exceptional production values, the downloads are fast, they offer many different ways to stream or download their material, they update regularly and they offer a TBP/PU discount that turns a great value into an exceptional value.
I admit that the criticisms that the other members raised have some validity, but I don't think those flaws outweigh what the site does right. To address the specific issues raised:
- not enough Mike Adriano, too much Kevin Moore: I think Mike Adriano is among the best directors working today and I download EVERYTHING I can get of his so I agree that it would be nice to get more but there is a lot available still. Kevin Moore does a couple of my favorite series so I'd like more of his work too.
- Too much TS: I'm not a big fan of TS stuff either and wish Joey Silvera would bring back some of his older series (Fashion Sluts and Butt Row please!!) There are currently 94 TS DVD posted out of almost 1500 DVDs. While I don't download the TS stuff I realize that there are those who like it and it doesn't bother me that it is there.
- subsequent months more expensive than the first. Yes, this is true. The discount only applies to the first month but every time I go to leave I get offered the lower price.
- 'locked' updates. This is true too and it can be annoying but I agree with jberry169 in his reply that these are sort of a preview bonus we get to see before the DVD hits the streets. There was an Asphyxia Noir / Skin Diamond scene uploaded and locked yesterday that I really want to download so I'll watch to see how long that takes. I'm sure it'll be unlocked in the next month and probably only a week.
Anyway, I'm not trying to undermine valid opinions, but I think that objectively this site is still amazing and I'll continue to come back to it regularly. I'd score it in the mid 90s (and seeing my review is quite old maybe I'll post another review to justify that opinion).
I joined this site today using the trial membership. The TBP page lists the trial as being full access and that was confirmed in March 2013. There has been a change at the site and the trial membership now only allows access to five videos of your choice. Also, these are only available through streaming.
I posted a not on the TBP page too so they may be able to verify this.
Reply from the webmaster re affiliation with Philly Butt Sluts
I mentioned in my review that there was some affiliation between Dirt Pipe Divas and Philly Butt Sluts. That's good news since the Philly site only seems to upload to Clips4Sale. I emailed the DPD webmaster and asked about it. Here's his reply:
"We'll have all the anal stuff from Philly Butt Sluts added to Dirt Pipe Divas. I'm not sure how John will edit it... but if it involves anal sex, it'll eventually find it's way to Dirt Pipe Divas. Also, any new scenes he shoots will go on the site before his clips4sale store."
This is good news and will definitely make me a recurring customer.
I'm a big fan of studio sites (as long as I'm a fan of the studio, of course) so I was intrigued by this site. But clicking on just about any link on the main preview page links to the join page. Want to see what DVDs they offer? Link to the join page. Want to see what models they have? Link to the join page. I'll probably join anyway, but this crap really bugs me. If they're proud of their site then show it off. This tactic makes it look like they're hiding something.
