I haven't decided whether to write a re-review of Videobox, but I did add the Japanese "Soft on Demand" channel and thought I would share some info on it for anyone interested or maybe even warn others.
I've always wanted to join a Japanese video site, but wondered how I would feel about the mosaic. Lets get that out of the way first. Every scene I've downloaded from Soft on Demand has the mosaic/censorship. There isn't a search filter for uncensored, so I'm guessing it's all censored. I have to say it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. In a way, I even thought the mosaic censoring gave the content a more believable feeling (in voyeur and public scenes especially).
These are the numbers for the channel.

I joined with 7 days left in my Videobox membership and the prorated price was $7.50.
Maybe the biggest selling point to the content are the fetish scenes. There definitely seems to be more creativity in these scenes than the American counterparts. I should also mention, no scene I've watched has English subtitles, so this does take away some since some of the scenes have 25-30 minutes of story building up to the last 10-15 minutes of sex. To put the amount of fetish content into perspective, 347 of the 564 scenes are listed as fetish.
My feeling towards this channel is pretty simple. If I had joined it for the full month it would have cost in the $30 range just to add it. I wouldn't have been happy about it. Joining for a week at the prorated price though, gave me a pretty good view of Japanese porn without the big price. I would recommend adding it for a week or less. I am going to keep roughly 30-35 scenes I downloaded from it. I still prefer Vivid's channel and even Kink's channel.
And one last note, there are no HD scenes or DVDs on this channel.
I admit, I'm a porn hoarder.
I download dozens, sometimes hundreds of videos, before I even watch one. But this isn't a pornaholic anonymous meeting.
The problem I'm having, quite a few, I'm going to estimate 30% of the videos I'm downloading are not fully downloading. I don't know if the server is resetting or if I'm just downloading too many scenes at one time. I don't use a standalone download manager anymore and I just download 8 videos at a time through Firefox.
I chose 8 as the number since I download by model. Inside the model's page there are 8 videos per line, so it makes it easy to keep up with what I've downloaded and what I haven't.
Any ideas on why the scenes aren't fully downloading?

A few of you know that my life situation has been changing over the last few years, went from the married ranks to divorced and now engaged.
I know this may sound crazy, but I wanted my future wife or girlfriend to be open to porn and sexual discussions. The girl I'm now engaged to was, then she wasn't, then she was, then she wasn't. I guess we sometimes forget it was men who often repressed women of their sexual feelings. My fiance for example, nearly all of her old pictures are with no make-up, very conservative clothes, now that she's also divorced, she has made a complete 180 degree turn.
So I think that's the other option. All of the options would be related to it, but just the overwhelming feeling of being judged. I do see intimidation in the answers and that would be close, but maybe an option of "all the above" lol?
I do have an alternative plan to attract women members. Offer a few mixed drink vouchers. Seems once the drink is in them they'll talk about any and everything.

Looks like the female member with the most posts in the forum and reviews is Heather Mckxxx, kittygirl is second. Heather has 10 reviews and 69 forum posts. Kittygirl has 6 reviews and 0 forum posts. There are 120 male members ahead of Heather in reviews. There are 200 ahead of kittygirl. Heather is in the top 100 in forum posts.
Just based on this, this would put female participation at less than 1%. So I don't think Graymane is assuming. On the other hand...
While it's true that one can't tell by name, the member's gender does show in their profile. If someone chooses to lie about their gender it makes Graymane's question even more relevant since it would show there is a reason for the female members to claim "male" as their gender. No reason to question him for "assuming" since all he can do is go by the information the member provides in their profile.
I've always liked the glasses look. Eva Angelina really comes to mind on the glasses look. Maybe it does something to my perception of the model? She's geeky, nerdy, no one probably hits on her...and she does THAT?
I've cursed Videobox 3.0 to hell. Then found some positives from it. Then cursed it back to hell. I was so frustrated the last time I was a member that I decided not to join it for awhile.
On my recent join though, everything seems to have improved.
Not only is the navigation not giving me any problems, they also are stacking up the HD DVDs with nearly 800 or roughly 4,000+ HD scenes. They also are offering quite a nice combo package of their extra channels. It was at sign-up, 5 channels for $50. That's a pretty big savings, but I still prefer to wait until a few weeks have passed then add then channels at prorated prices.
One last note on the Roku comment, I did receive the free Roku offer, but it was only when joining for 18 months.
Very similar feelings on the feelings towards different partners. I remember when Anetta Keys did some hardcore scenes and nearly all were with her boyfriend who was also a pornstar. Same with Sandra Shine, I think the only two hardcore scenes I saw with her were with her husband.
The problem I had with Sex Art was they really pushed the whole "love" thing in the one on one hardcore scenes. I think Raging Buddhist and a few of our other cynical PU members have rubbed off on me since I was thinking, "Do these models love each other or the money they're making" which somehow in my mind then tells me their interest in money ruins it, even though I like plain old hardcore where you know it's just for the money. That could get confusing.
There's definitely some nonsense like the male and female fully body painted. I wouldn't steer you completely away from Sex Art though if the offers are good enough. I think mine was 2 months for $19.95. I kept a handful of videos and all the photo sets since I liked those, felt like looking at "dirty" versions of Met-Art.

I've always thought ALS seemed really protective of the Angels site. Never even thought that the Angels wouldn't exactly fit the theme/model build that Met usually has. Probably only makes sense that they wouldn't offer it. Brain is getting old.

I wonder if Alex is still running ALS? He always seemed pretty obsessed with trying to get things right. Getting the hi pictures by changing the url reminds me of old days of finding samples and changing the number to see the rest of the samples that the TGP sites didn't show. Porn is making us smarter or more efficient one.

Most of these problems sound like problems the old Euro sites used to have, especially the wrongly labeled size on zips, I remember learning to watch the size of the file to make sure I was getting the high quality zips.

I rarely have joined the teen solo sites. There were way too many of them that used the ol' "Sign up to see her naked!" lines in the fully dressed previews. Then when I got inside, they were naked, but had soap suds on their boobs, legs squeezed together. Kitana Jade/Cherie Roberts comes to mind. Not to mention, the months I kept waiting for Next Door Nikki to get naked. It's funny how the times have changed in porn in just a decade or so. I've accepted the spam part of being a porn lover. It's annoying and all, but I just use an email address that is for nothing but porn sites. I don't know the full legal rights they have, but I'm thinking spam is probably the limit of what they can do.
Though I wouldn't say you're being too paranoid. I would however look into Manwin. Seeing that they would have a ton to lose if they did anything illegal, it would be hard to see them risking the loss for a few bucks here and there to do anything more than sell your email, age, etc...
You know rearadmiral, I'll never understand sites like these. They snatch these new models up, put them on solo sites, seem to keep them on only the solo site and outside of chance and luck, very few of us will even know they exist. It reminds me of Raven Riley who I think could have been the biggest internet porn star of her era if someone would have thought to put her on maybe Twistys or any of the other big multi-model sites.

lk2, I have been reading the different posts and comments by several PUers about the Diesel sites, but have never joined one. The Wow Girls one had me hooked with the main page having the cute girl laying on her stomach with the perfect back arch, but they changed it and for some reason, I never joined it after that. I have for a long time wanted the more curvy models, but I'm starting to prefer the slimmer ones again. I'm still a little iffy on the whole heartcore genre, but I do like the content better here than on the other heartcore sites. I have a few of the same complaints I had with Sex Art, I don't understand why solo sets are included, unless this model is extremely good at masturbation, dirty talk and has a lot of charisma. Eve Angel didn't do the talk at all, but she set a standard very few solo models reach, thanks to her ability to communicate with body movements and eye contact with the camera. The other is more minor complaint and it is the girl/girl content. I don't understand why one of these heartcore sites haven't tried 100% boy/girl. Maybe one has and I haven't found it yet?
Either way, for me, I liked it much better than Sex Art. Will review it over the next week or two once I've had a chance to see it all.

Current Member for less than 1 month (at the time of review).
Pros:
- It has to be one of the biggest networks on the internet. If you've never been a member you could probably join it for a year and still be happy with it in month 12.
- You get 13 sites and will list them each in the BL with a quick explanation of each and opinion.
- I try to always buy memberships through TBP and the TBP discount is very good, but DDF's promo emails, for past members, are much cheaper. On the other hand these promos only last 24-48 hours.
- Very professional site with high standards on their technical quality.
- Download speeds are about 90% my max download speed.
- The network as a whole does give you a feeling of "something for everyone".
- Videos over the last 4 years or so are HD, picture sets come zipped.
- You will be hard-pressed to name an Euro model who isn't on the network and many have double digit numbers of sets.
- Navigation is good for a network of this size and there doesn't seem to be as much overlap between sites though there still is some.
Cons:
- A little thing called time. That mainly applies only to new or newer members. I have kept a DDF folder since 2007 that has all the older content I would want so I mainly am just downloading the newer updates. If you're new to it, go ahead and get you a new external hard drive and name it DDF. I would think it's a bit overwhelming to some.
- DDF sites have typically had a common problem of the occasional download button not working, downloading a file marked as 1280x720 resolution only to find out it's a mobile file, but fast and courteous customer service always fixes it.
- The major deduction for me is that I'm not for sure the network offers that much for frequent past members. While the newer content isn't bad, it has either entered the feeling of, "I've seen this before, just the girl is different" or "Another 18 year old Hungarian model". That's not as negative as it sounds, but it's just a feeling of complacency.
Bottom Line:
It seems my years of scoring high are starting to catch up with me or I'm just not as impressed as I used to be. If you are new or newer to DDF then you can feel free to add 5-7 points to the score and I would say easily. I'm going to focus on the different sites since DDF Network isn't so much a site as it is sort of a home page or hub to go from site to site.
1ByDay - The flagship site. Myself and many Porn Users spent upwards of $35 per month for this site by itself years ago. It still updates 7 times a week and has nearly a combined 10,000 photo/video sets. I think it's important to mention these photo sets are not screenshots from the videos, they are standalone, professional photo sets. You really could get your money worth just with this site alone.
Hot Legs and Feet - The almost flagship site. I used to be turned away from this site because I thought it was a standard feet/toes type site, but it's really not. It's more like a solo/lesbian/hardcore site that has a feet/leg theme to the scenes. Updates have dropped to 3 per week. Close to 5,000 combined photo/video sets.
DDF Busty - The name says it all. This site has a couple of problems for me. It's not unusual to see overlap from other DDF sites showing up on it. It also updates 3 times per week. Around 3,000 combined photo/video sets.
Only Blowjob - Another self-explanatory one. It updates 3 times per week. And has around 3,000 combined photo/video sets.
House of Taboo - The kinkier side of DDF, though I wouldn't say it's near as kinky as most BDSM/Bondage/Sub/Dom sites I've been on. It updates 3 times per week and has around 1,800 combined video and photo sets.
Hands on Hardcore - Though all the sites before this one have some hardcore on them, this one is just all hardcore. Its updates don't seem to be quite 3 per week, but are close, there are 9 updates for the month of March as of March 31, 2013. It has right at 1,600 combined photo and video sets.
Euro Girls on Girls - Updates once a week, all lesbian, only lesbian content. It has nearly 1,000 combined photo and video sets.
Euro Teen Erotica - Updates once a week, this site could really appeal to some. Seems like it started out as mostly solo and the occasional lesbian scene, but I think they changed the focus and it's now more boy/girl hardcore with teens. It has nearly 700 combined photo and video sets.
Sex Video Casting - A site that could be considered the closest to amateur that DDF goes. Some of these sets don't have anything more than a new model stripping, no masturbation, no sex. Most at least go into something near masturbation. It has a combined 1,200 photo and video sets.
Hairy Twatter - Updates weekly, a site about hairy girls. Not my thing, but it has close to 200 combined video and photo sets.
Cherry Jul - Archive site. It hasn't been updated since 2007, but if you like Cherry, it has a combined 216 photo and video sets.
Eve Angel Official - Archive site. It says it's updating, but I have all these sets. If I'm wrong on this, I will change what I've said, but seeing that I've collected Eve exclusively since 2004, I'm pretty sure these new updates aren't new. Still, there is around 400 combined photo and video sets and if you like Eve, but haven't downloaded this content it's really good and would be worth the price of membership by itself.
Sandy's Fantasies - Archive site. This site hasn't been active for several years, but has some real nice older content of major Euro stars before they became big stars. Right at 300 combined photo and video sets.
I tried approaching this review differently to give a rundown of each site included. I still think this network is a great value considering the photos after 2008 are all available in at least 2000 high end and the videos in HD, Prior to 2009, you're going to get varying qualities and just based on the sheer amount of content there's no way I could break it down into how many have HD, how many have standard DVD resolution, etc.
I would recommend as high as possible for new porn fans, Eve Angel fans who don't have the content from her site, Cherry Jul fans if they still exist, legs/feet fans, soft dom fans, blowjob fans and solo fans. The only sites that I consider disappointing are Euro Girls on Girls and Euro Teen Erotica, but that's just a preference since those are mostly your typical 18 year old skinny models.
As a whole the network offers as much content as you could possibly ask for, however, as someone who has been a member of nearly all the sites when they were standalone sites and also a member of this network 4 times, I don't know that it offers me a whole lot of value. Then again, that's what happens when you have a 1.7 TB folder of DDF content.
I still think an 87 is fair with a +5 for those who don't have a 1.7 TB of DDF content already.
Besides TBP not doing business with this company, I can say I won't be anymore. I joined it from an email promo and had to jump through hoops to cancel. I really don't remember being a past member, but that's what the promo email said. If I was a past member I hadn't kept any of their content and can say with confidence that I probably won't keep more than 4-5 scenes max from this recent join.
