-The site is part of the 21st Sextury network, so you get it quite cheap.
-Good picture and video quality (several options for download, and also streaming option)
-Acceptable website design (although it could be improved)
-Acceptable but not huge archive (88 videos exactly)
-Varied content (solo, g/g, b/g, foot fetish, wrestling, etc.) |

Oh, how happy I was when I saw that 21st Sextury was opening a site devoted to Blue Angel, one of my favorite models of all times, cute as a button, sexy as hell, and judging by her interviews and backstage videos, nice and funny too! But after a year and a half of existence, my ilusions have quickly decayed, and I no longer see this site as becoming one of my favorites...
And the reason is that it offers almost no new content (no new updates since november, for instance) and Blue Angel doesn't seem to be quite involved in the site (no diary, chat or bonus content from her). Maybe, as I said in other occasions, they wanted this site to replace Sweet Sophie Moone, and now that Sophie is back they don't need it any longer; or maybe Blue Angel decided to take her career elsewhere (to the US, for example) leaving 21sextury with no new content from her... I don't know. But with its current content and update frequency, this site is no longer attractive.
As for the rest, you get the usual 21st Sextury pros and cons: you have several video download options (from low to HD quality), you can stream videos, picture quality is good, web design is fairly ok (although search options continue to be quite limited); customer support could be improved (I sent them a message some weeks ago about a problem with streaming; never heard back from them), etc.
My bottom line is quite simple: I would never, NEVER recommend this site as an individual site, except for people who are crazy in love with Blue Angel and want to get very good quality stuff from her; as a site that is part of a bigger network, it is acceptable, but only as far as they catch up with updates and start offering exclusive content (most of the sites added recently can also be accessed in other 21st Sextury sites). It's a pity, because I really was hoping that this could become a web porn classic; unfortunately, I'm afraid it won't... |

I don't quite like the implication that if you don't change your profile, it's because you only completed it to get the batch. There are other more compelling reasons not to change it, such as
a) Nothing's changed
b) I don't look at my profile, EVER

Just to clarify on Viv Thomas: I haven't been a member of his site for a long, long time because I find it too pricy; I usually watch (and wait eagerly for) his movies in Hotmovies.com. But he is, in my opinion, one of the best girl/girl-action directors.
I also find that DDF has less of a problem with close-ups: although they do include them, they also offer wider angles and more full body shots.

Thanks, Denner, I didn't know that this was a common complaint, I assumed it was just me.
An example of a director that does not have this problem -and I think this explains at least partially his success- is Viv Thomas: his lesbian scenes are filmed with great taste, big angles and a special focus on the girls' faces while enjoying themselves.

Thanks for your reply, RustyJ. Yes, you are probable right, this cannot be said equally for all sites and sets. But my experience today with this specific set ("Bibi's solo show") was so excrusiatingly obvious that I had to speak up.
And it often happens to me that I see the "preview pictures" (with are more often than not full body shots) and I think: "I am going to LOVE this video". And then, the video is 2/3 of close-ups to a pussy that could belong to any model in any set of any website.

I think there are two different questions here: whether we like BTS, and whether these scenes should be offered as updates, instead of regular sets.
Answering the first question, I normally don't care much for BTS videos, I only watch them if they include some of my absolute favorite models, such as Sophie Moone, Blue Angel or Eve Angel, because I enjoy watching them talk and behave "out of character", just like normal people. This being said, on rare ocassions I've found that the BTS was equally, or even more erotic than the original video :)
And regarding the second question, I hate it too. I think BTS, interviews and other bonus videos started being that, bonuses to the real stuff, and where therefore greatly appreciated; but lately, specially in solo sites, this bonus sets have replaced the real sets, making me (and other users, it appears) loath them with all my heart.
I think there's material for a poll here: "Do you enjoy watching BTS videos? Yes/no/meh" :DDD

Yes, that could be it. The "funny" thing is that a lot of Vivid's movies are accessible (both for streaming and download) in other sites, for example:

Anyway, if the site worked properly all the time, I wouldn't mind the no-download thing; the problem is that a lot of times I can't properly stream the movies either...

I think the situation this poll proposes is not that strange. Imagine that as a single guy you have a big/huge porn collection; but then you meet someone, and you want to move in with her. She will probable not be very happy if you fill the new love-nest with tons of DVDs and magazines of naked women, so what do you do with them?
And my answer is: throw them away. If I need porn, I have the internet.

Yes, I agree that 21Sextury.com has some of the best g/g content available, but the problem is that some of those sites are not updated very regularly. For instance, Blue Angel Live has very few updates in the past few months. Anyway, I know that I will join this site again soon, probably sometime next year, to catch up with their new sets and scenes...

Thanks, Drooler. Well, the problem with the viewing area has been solved: now you have a wider and bigger screen, and you can even watch it on full screen. The other problem, with the site not loading properly, remains, and is truly a pain. But when you get to see the scenes you are looking for, you are almost never dissapointed...

I felt kind of obliged to write this review, since I wrote a previous one some years ago and the site has changed quite a lot since then. So I took advantage of the PU offer, and joined (it is not a big sacrifice, really :P)
And yes, the site has changed, and in most aspects it has improved: it offers the same old Vivid style movies (stylish, wel lit, glamorous, gorgeus big-titted girls...), in acceptable to good quality and with some improvements in the navigation and search options. Contrarily to what other users have said (probably referring to the old version of this site), the archive is quite big (I've calculated around 600 movies), with each movie splitted into scenes, all of them accesible individually.
Now, to the cons. In my experience, the worst thing about this site is the tremendous amount of time you waste trying to watch a single scene. Most of the time, the site charges up to a point, and then it stops. And I haven't found a way to avoid this, or to make the site work properly. It's really frustrating to search for a movie, and when you have it, not being able to watch it because the site won't load properly. And this happened to me a lot; almost all the time.
Another big fault for me is the limited ammount of search options the site offers: there is a search box where you can look for actresses and movie titles, but there is no alphabetical list of titles, there is a category filter but it's hard to understand and to use, and scene description is not clearly stated.
In summary, my experience with Vivid.com has been highly disappointing. I have been able to stream (not download, there is no download options) a bunch of scenes which, it's true, are not available elsewhere, but I've also lost a good deal of time clicking F5 and reinitializing my browser to try and access movies and scenes in the site. And that's just no way to enjoy porn.
I would say that those low ratings, in the range of 50s, are too harsh on a site that includes gorgeus girls and good movies, but I also wouldn't strongly recommend this site. |

If I didn't have to worry about money, I would have uninterrupted memberships to 21st Sextury and the DDFProd Network, instead of joining and unsuscribing from them occasionally, as I do now. I would also probably join other sites which I avoid now because I find them too expensive, such as Eve Angel Official of Viv Thomas Video.

I was one of the people "meh-ing" for the new sites :) I do like nude wrestling from time to time, but I don't know if I would join a site that is wholy devoted to it; as for Aletta, she is just not my type of model, I prefer the petit, slimmy, natural breasted ones.
Anyway, I am also willing to know how the new site packages will be designed -and also, I am willing to see if Blue Angel Live comes back to being really alive!

It's funny, I don't really remember how I got to know what I know about sex. In school I received the classical extremely limited phisiological information; I never really talked about sex with my parents (no regrets there) so I guess most of what I knew came from books, magazines and movies.
I don't think porn is a good "educational tool" for beginners, really: the comparison between what you see in a porn movie and what really happens in your bed the first time you try to emulate it can be sooooooo frustrating...

It depends on the nature of the comment, for example you could say things like "this site includes content from X", "I had problems joining", "I won't join this site because X", etc. Other kinds of comments (on quality of quantity of content, for instance) would not be acceptable if they are based solely on the tour, I would say.

Thanks a lot for that, Messmer. Aletta Ocean and Kathia Nobili are not particularly my type of model, so these new sites are not specially atractive for me. I've checked what they say are their "newest sites", and apart from those two, apparently they are "Nude Fight Club" y "Cheating Whore Wives". Meh.
In any case, I would say that 21st Sextury would do better to maintain in good shape the sites they already have, instead of trying to open new ones. But probably they want to attract new customers, as a commercial strategy...

I am also a big (huge!) fan of Sophie Moone: when I started watching porn in the internet she immediately caught my eye (and everything else) and I've followed her work since, being a member of all her "official sites" and most of the other sites that offer her content.
For me the worst thing about "Sweet Sophie Moone II: the return of Sophie" is the excessive ammount of bonus and backstage content they offer. With only 4 updates a month, I feel that they should make sure that at least 3 of them are real action sets. In fact, I think it would be more fair if all 4 sets were real action, and the bonus sets came, well, as real bonuses inbetween.
As for the other "complaints", it's true that Sophie is not a teenager any more, but I think she still looks gorgeus (I wouldn't kick her out of my bed, for sure :P), and I don't really miss her b/g scenes. But I do have a sense of inauthenticity in most of her most recent sets, like she is just going through the moves and not really interested in what she is doing.
In any case, I know that I will at least once more join this site sometime next year...
