The domain information for JACSHELP is nothing like PSN, so I doubt they are related http://whois.domaintools.com/jacshelp.com looks like a US based site, but I could be wrong since the site looks like a very similar business.

The breach of contract with the additional billing processors was really what got me. If PSN had billed me using PSNBILLING.COM for what I ordered and what I didn't order instead of creating two additional accounts with sites I had never heard of I should have at least been able to see the additional memberships when I cancelled my account in September. If I had seen them listed along with what I purchased I would have made sure to cancel them along with the other, would not have been billed for four more months, and since my cancellation was before the end of September I would have been able to complain to PSN fast enough to get a full refund for the sites I never used in June, July, or August.

I totally agree. Pre-checked check boxes should always be illegal when the check box refers to the purchase of a good or service.

The only time pre-checked check boxes are ok is when they involve an advanced optional FREE feature of some sort. For instance I've been meaning to add pre-checked check boxes to sites of mine so publishers can receive emails when people post comments about their work by default, but that is just about the only case in which I would consider a pre-checked check box to be a benefit to the user. Although pre-checked check boxes on PSN next to "Don't charge my credit card under different names for stuff I'm not ordering" would be a nice touch.

PSN Made Fraudulent Charges to My Credit Card Under Bogus Names

After joining PORNSTARNETWORK.COM back in June they signed me up for two additional sites I didn't want tripling my bill, charging my credit card under different names not present on the list of billing processors in their Terms & Conditions, continued charging me after I cancelled my account in August, and are now hiding behind a 90 day policy to justify not refunding my money for services unused as well as unwanted from June through September for a total of $245.50.

How did this happen?

PORNSTARNETWORK.COM sneaks a little pre-checked checkbox with a trial promotion for EXTRAMOVIEZ.COM onto the billing form right before you finish your order. According to them that is how I got signed up for that one, but it doesn't account for the second site AMATEURNETWORK.CA that I couldn't find a single checkbox promotion about on any of the PORNSTARNETWORK.COM partner site sign up forms.

Why Didn't I Notice?

Like most people with a steady income I didn't think anything was wrong until the fraudulent charges took their toll and I thought something was not right with my account last week. I also didn't notice because when I signed up their Terms and Conditions said "All charges will discreetly appear as PSNSupport, PSNBilling.com, EPOCH or CCBILL on your credit card statement depending on the processor" and they charged me for the other sites by opening up different accounts that billed my credit card separately as SUPPORTMEMBERS.COM and HELPONLINESUPPORT.COM without my knowledge or permission.

My bank ended up being useless because they refused to look at the evidence I prepared for them electing instead to have someone from the fraud department interview each of us over the phone. The bank said that I needed confirmation that I cancelled the additional accounts individually, but of course I couldn't provide that because it is impossible to cancel accounts that you don't know about to begin with. Then things just went downhill from there because I got a bit confrontational with the bank staff, so I stormed out of there because it looked like they were going to call the police as an alternative to reversing the charges as demanded. I might try the bank again once I calm down a bit, but PORNSTARNETWORK.COM is responsible for this ripoff not the bank.
